At game, being told Sima is very much in frame to go to African nations cup.
Away early January, depends knockout back lmid February Final 11/ 2.
1.) 09 Dec 2023 14:05:41
Would be a big loss John. Let's hope we are able to bring in another couple and that they hit the road running.
2.) 09 Dec 2023 16:07:49
Sima is by far our best attacker right now, even better than Danilo
The fact he can out score our so called marquee signing from the LW when his natural position is RW, Imagine what he would be capable of as our CF 30 plus goals a season easy.
Way he is going will not end up staying at IBROX, 22 yr old with that kind of ability will get bought for sure.
Doubt rangers will be able to afford the 12-15 million Sima will be valued at by seasons end.
Besides we always sell our top quality young players.
Bassey and Patterson 2 clear cut examples, you can see how that has really strengthened the squad, now that we have the weakest side since Gerrard's 2nd season.
3.) 09 Dec 2023 16:53:38
Sima as a footballer is to put it mildly absolutely rotten if u think he's good god help us.
4.) 09 Dec 2023 17:04:10
All I've seen from you Ocjk is hate against rangers, I think we have a Tim on the page ?.
5.) 09 Dec 2023 17:15:47
What are you on Ocjk ? You've got to be at it and if not, i don't know what your watching ?.
6.) 09 Dec 2023 17:17:26
cik that tells me what you know about the game.
7.) 09 Dec 2023 17:19:10
Best wide player is Scotland by far, John i reckon your bets up mate.
8.) 09 Dec 2023 17:20:41
Probably tried to sneak on to live chat but got bombed out, easy to work out with stupid posts like that.
9.) 09 Dec 2023 17:21:46
Dearie me ocjk. Numpty.
10.) 09 Dec 2023 17:31:43
Ockj 2 negative posts today, Last one was January 2023, slagging off cantwell and Defoe as being crocks.
11.) 09 Dec 2023 17:33:37
I'm not usually one for banning folk but think in Timmy's case it's warranted
Ocjk definitely a Timmy got to be spouting hatred for a guy that's scored us plenty goals.
12.) 09 Dec 2023 17:42:30
If you think you're correct on your take on sima, god help you Ocjk ?.
13.) 09 Dec 2023 18:01:11
Sima is hardly an improvement over Sakala why are we threatening to ban a guy for pointing that out?
14.) 09 Dec 2023 18:18:57
Quite a few Celtic fans on recently.
15.) 09 Dec 2023 18:49:30
Sima is better than sakala for me but 30
Goals a season a just don’t think so.
16.) 09 Dec 2023 18:55:22
Sima is rotten? I think the glue you’re sniffing is rotten ?.
17.) 09 Dec 2023 19:02:31
Who said 30 Raskin?
18.) 09 Dec 2023 19:24:03
Laudruphagi did my star, in fact he said 30 plus.
19.) 09 Dec 2023 19:45:11
Cool jfm, i thought he meant John sure he has 25 mate.
20.) 09 Dec 2023 19:51:25
I've already said on here that barring injury, sima would score at least 20 goals this season and i've no doubt he will ?Fair doos to John227,as he said sima would hit the 25 goals scored mark for this season and that is most definitely a very realistic target for sima to now hit ?.
21.) 09 Dec 2023 20:17:31
The fact that many rate Sima so much, speaks volumes for our current situation. He's decent, but nothing special. We need serious changes going forward. going to take a few windows to get to where we would like.
22.) 09 Dec 2023 20:30:35
Sima is definitely an improvment on Sakala and i liked the wee man, he's raw at times and lacks some technique but he's shown already that he has every type of goal in him, he tracks back well and works hard for the team, he is also a great outball for us, can hold the ball up and bring others into play.
23.) 09 Dec 2023 21:10:36
GMS1983, let me ask you this question pal ie. do you rate and trust our manager philippe clement ? If the answer is yes then he rates sima highly and wants him signed on a permanent deal ?.
24.) 09 Dec 2023 21:31:47
Novo10rfc, he didn't say that ?.
25.) 09 Dec 2023 21:46:35
The defensive work Sima put in today was superb. He worked hard at both ends of the pitch, and ran his legs off for the jersey.
26.) 09 Dec 2023 22:07:25
OCJK,
My interpretation
Obvious Celtic John Kennedy
What’s your opinion?
27.) 09 Dec 2023 22:19:46
Ocjk what are you on. Its guys like you that drives players away from rangers. Always quick to criticise and slow to praise. You are either a tim or what you know about football you could write on the end of an ants cock. Why would any rangers fan make a comment like that. No wonder some players have a crisis of confidence with so called fans like you making comments like that.
28.) 09 Dec 2023 23:33:39
Read the comments hagi said he will hit 30
A season.
29.) 10 Dec 2023 00:05:06
Novo think you better read people's comments. More closely.
I still stand by what I said.
Sorry but a Celtic fan on spouting hatred it's so obvious there are better ways to say you don't rate someone.
30.) 10 Dec 2023 00:15:26
Robbie brilliant, an ants cock ?.
Raskin i don't really pay any attention to his posts mate.
31.) 10 Dec 2023 07:46:35
To differentiate the main difference between sima and sakala is quite simple and there for all to see?
Sima is very composed in front of goal and a much better, more natural finisher than sakala and that's not any sleight on sakala intended there ?.
32.) 10 Dec 2023 08:44:20
Sima by far our best attacker. Great header yesterday. Clement clearly rates and likes him which may help us sign him. Unfortunately the better he plays for us and his country the higher his price tag goes up perhaps making him unaffordable. Let’s enjoy him as long as we have him.
33.) 10 Dec 2023 09:34:39
Scrambled egg if that is his name it's the worst thought up username ever.
34.) 10 Dec 2023 09:36:21
Sima is currently the top scorer in the SPL. Some need to give the guy a break. if it wasn’t for him we wouldn’t be scoring many goals at all. If sima is rotten what does that make Kyogo?
35.) 10 Dec 2023 09:37:19
Seems like guys like GMS need to reconsider the standard they think we can attract and keep at Rangers with how world football is now. Sima very decent player, yes but leggy and lacks quality in some parts of his game. If he had it all, he wouldn’t be near us. We need to remember 38 games a season we play majority against significantly lower quality.
36.) 10 Dec 2023 10:30:49
LaudrupHagi - Sima valued at half what you said as Brighton want to move him on in summer with only 1 year left on his contract come summer time. Whether we can negotiate less that’s still to be seen.
37.) 10 Dec 2023 10:43:32
Possibly some type of swap deal involving Cifu.
38.) 10 Dec 2023 12:00:51
Sima has been a revelation and to be honest I was one who had my doubts when I thought sakala was doing well
Thing is money talks so many we try a loan too buy with some money up front n rest when contract is up cause if he'd happy here n wants too stay no brainer,
As for a defensive solution I would definitely put the feelers out for Worrall
He has came on leaps n bounds since leaving us might be looking for that opportunity away from forest as training away from team
Striker, from what I have heard miroski is definitely going to celtic and mckenna is a target for them too
But for us I would look at van veen
He would be cheap and wants back to scotland, n also pay the money for shankland we all know he is more than good enough.
39.) 10 Dec 2023 12:40:35
Sima is the minimum standard that we should be targeting. With the money wasted over the years under Wilson and Park we could have and should have signed better. We can only hope that under the new Regime we will start to see the quality of players that we used to expect at Rangers.
40.) 10 Dec 2023 13:05:59
Sima is doing great and scoring goals from his position on the left why do certain Rangers fans and pundits want him moved to centre forward . There is nothing to say that he would be effective in this position and we may lose what we are getting off him just now . Leave him where he is and get a striker in to add to his goals output. Worst bit of praise ever was the comment "even better than Danilo", to be honest that's a low bar as far as I my concerned, Dessers with pace that's Danilo.
41.) 10 Dec 2023 13:16:55
My star I predicted 25 goals for sima and 15 dessers.
42.) 10 Dec 2023 14:42:49
I think Dessers is on 7 so far. as bad as he is, he's still much better than the hopeless Lammers.
43.) 10 Dec 2023 15:05:07
Dessers is getting slightly better with each game will admit I wanted him away still do in a way but I am also curious of what he will be like after the winter break.
44.) 10 Dec 2023 15:09:47
John i believes both them will get that mate.
45.) 10 Dec 2023 17:02:59
Here’s hoping, 40 between these two would be excellent.
46.) 10 Dec 2023 18:31:00
Why we drawing equation between Sima and Sakala? Two different players only one finished article.
47.) 10 Dec 2023 19:01:40
Don’t forget the assists, am sure both have few?
Add that to the goals and it becomes quite good for players some do not like.
48.) 10 Dec 2023 19:05:46
OCjk's just raging cause his Champions league quality lego team got split in two by Kilmarnock for the second time this season ;)
You still salty son?
wait till we see yer wee sour puss starts melting when Rangers go top of the league on the 30th of December, if not before.
be an even tastier victory for us, if big Sima slaps a hatrick past yer chip shop wrapper defence.
49.) 10 Dec 2023 22:06:17
Lol and there's my star telling folk they don't know anything again some things never change ???.
50.) 10 Dec 2023 22:07:55
Lol but this time I happen to agree with mystar in sky.
51.) 10 Dec 2023 22:26:13
gofor you like to post nonsense about me you done it yesterday, have i got under you skin man? probably have by saying you post nonsense regularly, just keeping it real and telling you how i feel mate, sorry if offended. ✌️.
52.) 11 Dec 2023 01:06:55
You saying I like to post nonsense about you Beale56 my star in sky or whatever is hypocrite stuff you dish it out too.
I just treat people how they treat me and you like to brand people this or that even though your wrong a lot of the time too.
If I agree with any of your points I will still say so.
53.) 11 Dec 2023 01:12:27
Sorry if offended lol no your not. ? Insult twice then claim peace ?says a lot about your character.
You just can't see it from anyone else's point of view I said about sima playing as a CF and you were heavily critical but didn't see same responses when a large number of people started saying same thing.
And one of a few this all started because I disagreed with one of your posts
Lol also peace symbol lol I extended an olive branch before to you and was swatted away.
07 Dec 2023 18:17:31
Alex Rae on Sunderland short list.
1.) 07 Dec 2023 19:26:09
Any indication if he wants to go down to England again?
2.) 07 Dec 2023 20:08:44
My newcastle utd pals down there are telling me that john eustace and kevin muscat are the 2 most spoke about names, regarding the sunderland manager's job ? I hope they give it to scott brown ? as i don't particularly like the black cats.
3.) 07 Dec 2023 20:11:37
Burt, he would be the manager, will get more than we will offer.
4.) 07 Dec 2023 20:40:22
Alex Rae played the best games of his career as a Sunderland player in my opinion, well respected in Sunderland John.
5.) 07 Dec 2023 20:50:20
Those Newcastle Utd pals are up there with timalloy kid in pals in the east ?♂️.
6.) 07 Dec 2023 21:33:54
Muscat not working so could be a good shout.
7.) 07 Dec 2023 22:10:07
I would like it to be Muscat fife.
8.) 07 Dec 2023 22:23:27
John, I would love to know who told you that because Alex isn't aware that he is on the shortlist and I can tell you now that Alex Rae will not be going to Sunderland.
9.) 07 Dec 2023 23:01:33
Think you will find just bookies trying to generate a book.
10.) 07 Dec 2023 23:09:20
He's been assisting PC for under 3 months om sure we, ll survive if he did go.
11.) 07 Dec 2023 23:49:57
So we are now led to believe that Newcastle utd fans are privvy to the Sunderland boards shortlist of managers? Cool story.
12.) 08 Dec 2023 00:09:22
I really couldn't give two flying ducks about Alex Rae and Sunderland.
13.) 08 Dec 2023 00:20:17
Why otters Clement seems to like Rae?
14.) 08 Dec 2023 07:36:23
Get a grip of yourself sir waltermccoist?I only said talk not gospel pal! Some posters on here just don't stop ?.
15.) 08 Dec 2023 07:55:25
Good stuff Walter. Rae was interviewed nyesterday.
16.) 08 Dec 2023 08:29:22
Crp. A director at Sunderland
That would be good news as I really want him to stay with us.
17.) 08 Dec 2023 08:29:33
Alex Rae isn’t on the Sunderland shortlist.
18.) 08 Dec 2023 11:59:27
Alex Rae is not going to Sunderland.
19.) 08 Dec 2023 13:42:53
Gdog where do u think Alex Rae will go.
20.) 08 Dec 2023 23:13:30
OK John, I very much doubt that even if you did know a director at Sunderland they would tell you about a shortlist because the reason Mowbray got sacked is they already knew who they wanted.
They are not going to sack a well established manager to replace him with someone who is less well established. The fans loved Mowbray btw but I guess given you know a director, you will know why they let him go, it certainly wasn't to replace him with a guy who has been a no2 to Paul Ince for a large chunk of his coaching career.
28 Nov 2023 10:32:14
Being told today from my source both Dowell and Sterling want to return to England.
Defo interest for both from championship.
1.) 28 Nov 2023 11:31:49
Good!
2.) 28 Nov 2023 11:32:05
Understandable regarding Sterling, as he's not going to take Tav's place.
Shame about Dowell though, he looked good at Norwich the few times I saw him and I thought he was going to be a bit of a dark horse for us, but seeing Lammers start before him I understand if he wanted to leave.
On a positive, in on a free, sold for a fee.
3.) 28 Nov 2023 11:33:28
Sounds about right. Both have made nil impact.
I am sure PC has seen their levels in training. Again makes you wonder about our scouting system and how these signing decisions were made. Need to make sure we cover our costs on these deals.
4.) 28 Nov 2023 11:50:44
Shame neither have been able to show much so far, liked the look of Dowell before he came. I don't think they would be much loss. What we think we could get for them 1-2m each?
5.) 28 Nov 2023 11:51:52
Did Beale about not say dowell was going be a quality signing? Deary me that guy gets some amount wrong on here.
6.) 28 Nov 2023 12:00:21
Both done nothing. Rarely given a chance granted.
7.) 28 Nov 2023 12:03:59
Not surprised John.
Why would they want to be here when they could be near home and actually playing football.
Will save us a few quid also, so win win imo.
8.) 28 Nov 2023 12:11:10
Hopefully. 40k a week between them for nothing.
9.) 28 Nov 2023 12:12:00
actually forgot dowell was at rangers, has he been out injured?
10.) 28 Nov 2023 12:29:10
56 cc Dowell is quality just very unlucky with injury.
11.) 28 Nov 2023 12:42:25
Is dowell injured? I’d imagine that would be a big saving wage wise. How much would we sell for?
12.) 28 Nov 2023 12:51:49
Will save us nearly 2 million a season in salary if we move them on.
13.) 28 Nov 2023 12:54:07
They are wanting to leave because they are not getting a game? that's a joke. Dowell started pre season recovering from an injury and then was out for weeks with another one . We would all like to see him start in front of Lammers but he has to be fit to do that. Sterling is another one who missed large parts of pre season with an injury and has had another couple since then. When we looked to him for the away game in Prague, guess what, he was injured. Maybe not their fault that they get injured but its a bit much if they want to go because of lack of game time. More likely Clement has made it clear he doesn`t fancy them . They`ll be no great loss because they have done nothing and the wages can be invested elsewhere. Just another two of Beales broken toys .
14.) 28 Nov 2023 14:17:36
As both aren’t really featuring in the team. It would be best for all parties if they were sold and monies can be put towards One or Two loan players or a permanent player.
???????????.
15.) 28 Nov 2023 14:20:44
There were a couple of us on here who posted about Dowell's injury record, and how much of a risk he was.
16.) 28 Nov 2023 14:24:21
You did that raisetheroof, but in my eyes his quality is there mate.
17.) 28 Nov 2023 14:25:54
Both fall into the category of injury prone. Get rid ASAP. Regardless of ability i have no time for that anymore. On a side note we could sign kyle walker and tav would still play every min of every game.
18.) 28 Nov 2023 14:26:44
Coldo what you get correct on here? all you do is pull others up.
19.) 28 Nov 2023 14:31:50
Well both will have cost us about half a mill each by time January comes.
Then if they got signing in fees due to being frees.
Then i'd be asking £1m each just to quickly move them on.
Don’t think we’d get anymore than that for dowel as he’s always injured, Sterling we may get a 10% in there aswell.
20.) 28 Nov 2023 14:48:36
Can they be sold in January I thought they had to stay a year maybe I have that wrong, so you can't buy then sell right away, would the option to loan then by get round the two clubs in a year rule? Sorry again I may have that concept wrong.
21.) 28 Nov 2023 14:59:05
GJD you can buy someone and sell them the next day if you want.
22.) 28 Nov 2023 15:24:27
Gjd can definitely sell them
My star who is coldo this week.
23.) 28 Nov 2023 15:33:05
Thanks for sharing John. If they want to go, let them go and hopefully we get a small fee and sell-on clause for them. I think it was StevieG2 who said that it’s a shame we didn’t sign Max Johnston instead of Sterling and I tend to agree.
24.) 28 Nov 2023 16:07:33
GJD83 the new rule is 16 weeks.
25.) 28 Nov 2023 16:11:24
Dowell has been a massive let down he can't even make Sundays squad when we're missing other midfielders, says it all.
26.) 28 Nov 2023 16:24:57
56 clement, John, can spot him a mile away.
27.) 28 Nov 2023 16:33:08
My star, what was it I said about Norwich fans not seeing much of him due to injury and you telling me I didn't know anything ?
Quality signing eh!
28.) 28 Nov 2023 16:33:55
Whoever signed that pair ought to be fired, oh forgot he already has ?.
29.) 28 Nov 2023 17:00:07
Nobody will buy Dowell he's permanently injured. Also Sterling is in the Euro squad and I think only 3 changes after the group stage allowed.
30.) 28 Nov 2023 17:09:12
if the manager is not going to play them, then move them on, even getting their
fees back and wages saved is a bonus.
31.) 28 Nov 2023 18:14:40
Roofe wage also around 2mill.
32.) 28 Nov 2023 18:24:54
So one change is ditch sterling, we r paying this guy one million a year.
33.) 28 Nov 2023 19:00:33
Both earning £20k a week. Money could be spent better elsewhere. We are hopeful to get a couple million each but are likely to accept loan moves in January.
34.) 28 Nov 2023 19:10:14
Why coldo and gofor having a go at my star No one ever gets everything right on here ?♂️ .
35.) 28 Nov 2023 19:14:43
56 Clement, given that Cantwell was excellent in the 1st half of this calendar year and that Dowell was keeping him out of the team at Norwich, is it not totally understandable that My Star would say that Dowell is going to be an excellent acquisition?
36.) 28 Nov 2023 19:34:28
Gofor i never said that to you, what i said to you was Norwich fans didn't see him when he scored many times for them last season, i said Dowell was quality and that he is, injured to often tho like raisetheroofe said at the time.
37.) 28 Nov 2023 20:13:48
These two, with a host of others need to go. we're paying a fortune in wages to players who are doing next to nothing.
38.) 28 Nov 2023 20:42:17
You are correct My star, there is quality there, just like there is with Roofe and Jack, but just like those 2, we are never going to get full value for Dowell, as he will be constantly injured. Get him, Sterling, Jack and Roofe off the wage bill, and use the circa 75k a week in wages, to bring in players who will contribute something over the full season.
39.) 28 Nov 2023 22:23:09
We trust your source john.
40.) 28 Nov 2023 22:36:01
Storm instead of debating the point he jumped to saying people are clueless.
Simple reason
And with dowell and sterling would they not need to be freed.
Thought the rule was you couldn't sell a bosman for a year after signing?
41.) 28 Nov 2023 22:37:41
Don't know if we could loan them out though? Been a while since I checked free contract signing rules.
42.) 28 Nov 2023 22:48:37
Think that will be the plan of Clement raisetheroofe.
43.) 29 Nov 2023 00:09:30
Mtystar I said Norwich fans never seen him enough due to injury and you rubbishd me.
Around about the same time I said all transfers don't work out when you were branding all signings class.
Love how you guys change your narrative to make yourself out to be right.
44.) 29 Nov 2023 00:10:20
To be fair the boy sterling has never looked happy even when he did get on.
45.) 29 Nov 2023 00:10:50
John tells us Dowell wants to leave and boom it’s in Ibrox Noise.
46.) 29 Nov 2023 01:10:06
Gofor my question was the same months ago, why couldn't they see him when he scored many goals for them? that doesn't make sense to me. again Dowell is very unlucky with injuries but i see him as quality footballer, Gofor i probably wasn't saying you were clueless on this, just in general you post many things i don't understand mate.
47.) 29 Nov 2023 03:34:09
I will be honest I thought dowell would of been a player for us but as usual I am wrong ?.
48.) 29 Nov 2023 10:42:00
G4 I’ve long said these clickbait sites take info from here,
RFC I agree with you re dowell.
49.) 29 Nov 2023 11:32:48
My star he is usually like this with me he makes things up in his head.
50.) 29 Nov 2023 11:54:49
Good! I said at the time neither were good enough, especially Dowell who some claimed would be in the starting 11 because he’s left footed haha! Mediocre signings by a mediocre manager! Sterling 20k a week to do nothing!
51.) 29 Nov 2023 15:40:07
Mystar, you had a spell of calling people clueless for quite a while all be it your name was Beale65 at the time.
52.) 29 Nov 2023 17:36:50
Just three gofo you, Andy because i feel that's what he is, Coldo under many different names 100% yes, I'm really don't understand many of your post or what their even getting at mate, can't just be me.
53.) 29 Nov 2023 17:45:55
I made one error with you storm and I did apologise afterwards
But hey men don't usually drag something up once another man has made an apology but maybe that's my bad for thinking an apology is the end of something eh!
54.) 30 Nov 2023 00:14:39
Mystar ok so if I was cluess and said I was worried about signing another injury prone player and all signings were not class and it never works out for them all.
Then how does that make me clueless
From what we've seen so far I was 100% correct
Or should I address the response to Beale65 ?.
55.) 30 Nov 2023 07:46:16
Gofor Kieran dowell at Norwich had one significant injury that ruled him out for 19 games he was hardly injury prone. I’m a Norwich fan so correct me if I’m wrong.
56.) 30 Nov 2023 09:03:42
Gofor what are you even talking about today? as said can't work some of the posts you put up, Beale 56 go for it gofor, no sense again.
57.) 30 Nov 2023 09:05:01
Injury prone gofor?
58.) 30 Nov 2023 17:56:31
Apologise for? You have lost me mate I forget half the stuff that goes on in here ? I wasn’t meaning anything bad by it ?.
59.) 30 Nov 2023 17:58:19
Forgot to say you never need to apologise to me gofor.
60.) 30 Nov 2023 21:46:18
Storm if I get it wrong and attribute someone's post to wrong guy i admit an say sorry just way I am.
Mystar we all know you were Beale65
You never admit when your wrong.
61.) 30 Nov 2023 22:18:39
None of these players are going to win us the league, if we can get some money for them then let them go and let's try and recoup the fee we paid for Dessers and Lammers. They are not the answer.
If there is a swap deal to be done Cifuentes for Sima then let's get that done as well and let's see if we can get rid of some of the others that will leave at the end of the season.
Right now we need a centre back, possibly a left back, a quality holding midfield player and a striker that can score goals.
We need to start signing winners, players with fight and a never say die attitude. We desperately need a DoF and for me it's time that our Chief Scout was shown the door. Other than Butland we haven't signed one true quality player while he has been in charge of scouting!
62.) 30 Nov 2023 23:03:25
Gofor obviously everyone know i changed my name as posted it, what i am wrong on?
63.) 01 Dec 2023 14:06:36
Dowell didn't score many times for Norwich last season, he scored 5 times ? nowhere near good enough, most people po8nted out it was a strange signing when it was announced.
64.) 01 Dec 2023 15:54:13
So didn't the Norwich fans see him then herewego? that makes as much sense as gofor does, strange signing you must have never seen him play then.
65.) 01 Dec 2023 19:54:35
I said they didn't see him enough mystar not that they didn't see him.
And has it not been the same for us?
And funny how you never answer direct question or point always try skirf around it.
You were wrong simple as that.
At least be big enough to admit it.
66.) 02 Dec 2023 06:44:00
Gofor pointless post once again, what i said about Dowell was he is quality, because he is injured does that take away his quality as a footballer? no sense again you've got a habit of this mate.
67.) 02 Dec 2023 14:43:12
Also can't figure out how the Norwich fans never seen him, he was in the squad over 100 games in his three season gofor, so another senseless point to me.
27 Nov 2023 20:21:22
Mcausland deal done.
1.) 27 Nov 2023 22:31:57
Good news hope they still play him or at least get him a good loan move.
2.) 28 Nov 2023 07:37:18
Can't see us sending him on loan. He'll play parts in many games, probably start a few if he keeps on improving.
3.) 28 Nov 2023 07:43:04
Why would he go on loan when he’s almost a stick on to start or appear in most games now?
4.) 28 Nov 2023 09:28:52
Good now let’s get him in the starting 11 from now until Jan and see if we need to bring in a winger or not. Cantwell is a waste of a jersey out there.
5.) 28 Nov 2023 09:41:40
Being told Lovelace has been offered new significant deal, on his 18 birthday, good news, massive interest from England in him and Archie stevens.
6.) 28 Nov 2023 09:48:38
Have said for weeks, Cantwell is carrying an injury. Probs taking injections. The lad has lost at least a yard of pace and not influencing games in any way.
7.) 28 Nov 2023 14:26:59
Cantwell is way off the player he was turning into end of last season.
He did have an injury, and may well still be the case?
personally when fully fit, i would play him in the 10 role, not out wide, and tell him to shoot for the goal every chance he gets, if the hagi sale in in fact a rumour, i would like us to get him back in Jan and rotate him and Cantwell in the 10 position, where both are capable of scoring goals and cutting defences open with there passing intelligence.
Matondo and Lawrence rotating as LW
Sima and Mcausland rotating as RW
Danilo i'd play every game as main striker, like we have been lately, but we need another clinical finisher, especially with us quilifying for the next stage in the Europa competition, which i believe we will after the Aris game.
hopefully Phillipe Clement has his eye on at least 1 more talented finisher, RB and CB, one of them no doubt from the belgian premier league, where PC has solid contacts and excellent knowledge of that league.
8.) 28 Nov 2023 16:35:43
It all depends on Clement and clubs intentions
Do you not remember Lowry being in the same position getting games then new deal and hey presto back in reserves.
All I 2ant is the best for the lad. Obviously the ideal is to play week in week out at rangers but as Clement is big on wingers, he might want to bring his own in.
9.) 28 Nov 2023 16:38:18
Cantwells problem like many of the other English is the fire themselves up too much and end up rushing about without clear aim cantwell is always trying his best I'd start him every game still not 100% on his best position
Nobody can deny he has best work rate of any player in our team.
10.) 28 Nov 2023 19:11:19
Cantwell ain’t taking injections and he is getting played out of position he is a 10.
11.) 28 Nov 2023 22:39:40
I tend to agree storm.
12.) 29 Nov 2023 16:33:17
Storm my info cantwell has not taken a jag since Celtic game.
13.) 30 Nov 2023 12:10:28
Gresley,
Maybe squad but definitely not team. Maybe added to squad as interim. Not a disaster.
22 Nov 2023 16:26:25
Told today from friend in Brighton that they r trying to engineer a deal with sima and cifuentes.
They had a bid for cifuentes of 10 million rejected in summer 22.
1.) 22 Nov 2023 18:14:06
Feel like that would be a good bit of business.
2.) 22 Nov 2023 18:30:18
Interesting, John.
3.) 22 Nov 2023 18:35:31
Bite there hand off at that john. Straight swap. That would be a great bit of business.
4.) 22 Nov 2023 18:45:59
If we could get a straight swap surely we want to take that? Think we'd probably need to bring in another Cm, but that looks doable - maybe Barron in January if we can sort a fee?
5.) 22 Nov 2023 18:49:06
It that's what it takes to get Sima am all for it, but rate Cifuentes highly.
6.) 22 Nov 2023 18:54:07
Here's hoping we can do this deal.
7.) 22 Nov 2023 19:49:44
Would be happy if that were true, do they not fancy Dessers, Lammers, Dowell or Sterling too as a job lot?
8.) 22 Nov 2023 20:05:51
That sounds like a great deal.
Maybe aims isn’t valued as high by Brighton as we thought.
It shows that he must be valued no more than at £5m max cause let’s be honest we’d be lucky to have gotten £2-3m for Cifuentes and Infact I don’t think we’d have got that.
If cifuentes comes good before the end of the season and we want to keep him then it shows we could get sima on the cheap.
9.) 22 Nov 2023 20:14:20
Stevie. They bid 10 million last year for cifuentes yet u say 2/ 3 strange.
10.) 22 Nov 2023 20:21:36
Would really like cifu to get a run in the team before anything like that. I do like Sima but cifu a lot of potential as well. Pains me that ryan jack still gets preferred over others.
11.) 22 Nov 2023 20:24:56
Stevie Brighton don't buy players lacking quality mate, they must believe Cifuentes could impress in the epl.
12.) 22 Nov 2023 20:46:53
Stevie it doesn’t tell you anything about valuation as John states they have already bud 10 million before for cifu.
13.) 22 Nov 2023 21:13:44
My star if Brighton want cifuentes I’d be cautious as they are good at signing players of quality
I’d want add ons and sell on.
14.) 22 Nov 2023 21:15:23
Sima plus 5m lol.
15.) 22 Nov 2023 21:29:27
Strange Brighton didn’t snap him up when we did! Sounds like a nonsense rumour.
16.) 22 Nov 2023 21:53:46
I'm with star in sky on this good move but feel we are still to see better of cifuentes surprised he's not played much for Clement.
17.) 22 Nov 2023 22:05:35
Aye John. That’s very strange mate.
If Brighton wanted to pay £10m for him, why didn’t they sign him for the pennies he cost us? That’s stranger sounding to me.
I’m stating a fact that right now other than your rumour at top of thread we’d be lucky to get £2-3m for cifuentes.
He’s done absolutely nothing for us other than give the ball away, and he’s done not a lot better for his country lately either.
There’s nothing strange about my statement whatsoever John, there’s not a club in the world that would pay anywhere close to £10m for Cifuentes mate.
So far from what we’ve seen he’s out his depth n I’ll be extremely shocked if what u say comes to fruition.
n that's a good few of my posts u have tried to bring down n ridicule pal yet last few Occasions I’ve blew u out the water in the argument that ensues.
Seems to me, as I’ve been watching how u work, when u have a disagreement with someone because they disagree with u and u throw the toys out the pram and threaten to not post your info anymore, see after that when it’s all blew over u wait on the poster to post something that could be wrong or certainly up for debate or controversial and u pounce on it as if to make person look stupid.
Doesn’t work with me John.
Cifuentes isn’t worth £10m atm, and likely never will be. Hope I’m wrong.
If Brighton do want him in a swap deal then he’s still not worth £10m is he? It would be £7m, but consider sima will be entering last year if his contract would u say £5m maybe, he’s also been a flop, so maybe £4m?
If this Brighton rumour doesn’t matetualsise we’d be lucky to get £2m for cifuentes in January.
18.) 22 Nov 2023 22:40:10
I think Cifuentes will come good tbh, looked really. good first couple of appearances so is something there.
19.) 22 Nov 2023 22:42:33
I thought there was a rumour that Brighton couldn’t get a work permit for him?
I always assumed we’d be a stepping stone to the EPL for him.
20.) 22 Nov 2023 23:08:32
Sounds utter nonsense. If brighton were interested at 10m, they have snapped him up when we did.
21.) 22 Nov 2023 22:13:53
David how is it nonsense rumour. I don’t post nonsense.
22.) 22 Nov 2023 22:15:26
If Brighton want Cifuentes, that's enough reason to keep him.
23.) 22 Nov 2023 22:18:34
Beale I know what your saying re Brighton track record in the market.
What I’m saying is if there willing to swap cifu for sima they must not value sima very high, let’s be honest mate how much would we accept for cifuentes say in January? Outwith sima we’d bite the hand off anyone offering £3/ 4m atm?
So they can’t value sima as high as we thought they would, many of us including me thought they’d want minimum £7m maybe £10m if. He has a great season.
Look at Tillman.
If a loan has a great season Brighton could try maximise sale to another club and we’d be priced out.
If rumour is true I’d jump at the swap and agree on a % sell on for both players with both clubs
Ur both clubs get 15% sell on from the player they’re selling.
It be easier for Brighton to just sign cifuentes for a few million and sell sima to another club in the summer.
If I’m Brighton I’m doing that.
24.) 22 Nov 2023 23:35:47
Don't know about any of this but I did see Davie Weir at Glasgow Airport first thing in the morning on Monday getting a flight back down south.
25.) 23 Nov 2023 00:28:06
But Sima is ooc in 2025 stevie, Rangers ain't paying 7m or 10m for him next summer mate, i wouldn't touch a bid of a couple of million for Cifuentes, he's far to talented a footballer for selling at that price, he's not even settled in our country and only moved out a hotel a short time ago, all players are different at settling down, especially a country with four seasons in one day, a South America playing in the MLS and we expect him to get use to this climate in months, I'll say it again i believe Cifuentes will be a top player for us moving forward, he'll get up to the game speed, class footballers always do, it just a far faster game where he is now.
26.) 23 Nov 2023 01:07:16
Dale I have no reason doubt your assessment of cifuentes, I never seen anything other than a few highlights in which he looked a cracking player.
I think he could come good aswell, only because of yourself and a small couple of others who say they have seen him and know how good he is.
So I’m taking yours and others word in it and will think yous could be right.
But as of the here and now, he’s not worth a lot mate.
I know sima out of contract a year from summer, that’s what I’m saying. I’m saying they paid £7m for him, he’s been a flop and found himself in Scotland where he’s doing well but not outstanding let’s be honest.
I’d love to keep him but he’s not worth say £10m.
I’d say £5m.
I’m saying that a lot of fans felt we’d be priced out a move by other clubs and brightons valuation, but with being a flop at Brighton, and only having 1 year left on his deal come the summer then we could maybe get him for £5m give or take?
This being my point if cifuentes is so good then why not say no and just buy sima? We could afford that.
And on the flip side, if Brighton wanted cifuentes I think most would agree that the club would take £3/ 4/ 5m in Jan at the first asking.
Then Brighton could try sell sima in summer for max profit so why mix the 2 up.
I don’t think u were getting what I’m meaning bro or maybe I’m not putting it across properly.
Sima is on the up and cifuentes in the down.
It makes no sense for Brighton to do that deal.
27.) 23 Nov 2023 05:39:42
Cifuentes Stock will still be quite high his club were knocking back £10million bids if a swap is not done I think we should look to sell in January a don’t see a £10million player there if we could get £5/ 6million we should move him on imo.
28.) 23 Nov 2023 06:45:43
Brighton don't sign rubbish? - they signed Shane Duffy.
29.) 23 Nov 2023 08:20:24
Stevie, you love a long post ?.
30.) 23 Nov 2023 08:42:44
Lanzarote they signed Shane Duffy before the talent spotting scouts arrived and before they were in the prem. There whole business policy has changed since he got sent up here as a secret agent so now there model is to buy young talent and sell a lot of profit and it's working out brilliant for them it's about time we started to do this. Been hearing this is the plan for years now but only been executed once twice.
31.) 23 Nov 2023 08:43:39
I actually like the look of Cifu and think he may have a big part to play this season. Definitely wouldn't let him leave on the cheap.
32.) 23 Nov 2023 09:32:02
I'm with My Star, I was really looking forward to cifuentes coming,
I think we always kinda expect these guys to settle in and hit the ground running buy, he's moved across the world to a club that demands more than most other clubs. He came into a team struggling with confidence and had niggling injuries, also we often say for that money they should go straight into team but nowadays what we spend, even if its 4.5m, doesn't buy that. You get untried talent that have potential or guys who have had a bad couple of years after impressing or someone with a potential injury risk. I love Sima and hope we can get him maybe another loan or cut a deal for maybe 2-3m, but I also think if Cifuentes gets a chance we could have a real influencer in middle of park.
33.) 23 Nov 2023 10:01:21
Stevie you might value him at £2/ 3/ 4m but the inside word is Rangers as a club value him closer to £7m.
34.) 23 Nov 2023 10:39:59
Still not sold on Sima, he has had 2 or 3 decent games. Couple of good goals. however super wasteful. (Very similar to Sakala) and surely for £5m odds you could find a better player.
Cifu will come good for sure. I wouldn't be selling him so quick and he likely just needs a run of games.
Christ. Lammers is still getting game time and he's terrible (bar the one absolute peach goal against crap opponent lol) and Dessers. nothing more needing said there.
Lundstram has been outstanding since PC came in so Cifu is fighting with Jack and Raskin for a spot really. Unless Lammers is dropped and Cantwell pushed forward.
I did think Dowell would have more of a go too but must be something up with him. I also wouldn't have Hagi back to be honest.
35.) 23 Nov 2023 10:47:40
How much do u value him at bb?
Rangers can value him at £7m all they want I personally don’t see them getting that.
Think John stated himself just 2 days ago when arguing with someone else that we don’t have a single player who would fetch £8m not one.
36.) 23 Nov 2023 10:54:25
apologies Chasni, I’m even worse in person mate ye can’t get a word in ?.
37.) 23 Nov 2023 11:15:32
Cifu is a good player just hasn’t broke through in the team. If Brighton are looking for a swap they see the potential and sell on value. Someone mentioned a sell on clause if we do the swap. I agree. Make sure we get something if they sell him in future. If it happens that is.
38.) 23 Nov 2023 11:30:18
Cifu can’t get in in front of Jack/ Lunny ATM a player that has real quality would move them aside quickly even tho Lunny has been excellent, He definitely has something about him but not shown anything yet Sima will always score always create problems, players like tht are harder to come by for us IMO, Brighton normally look ahead who they will be selling bring players in early to replace they may have the time to build him into a player but we don’t! If we can get that done I’d take Sima all day! As some suggested with a sell on on Cifu as they’ll likely want the same on Sima.
39.) 23 Nov 2023 11:53:11
Also Brighton never snapped him up because of work permit issues and turned there attention to caicedo. Look that how that panned out.
40.) 23 Nov 2023 12:28:58
Stevie thankfully its Rangers value on the player that matters, not yours.
41.) 23 Nov 2023 12:36:23
If true it opens a slot for connor barron hopefuly.
42.) 23 Nov 2023 12:47:53
The reason Jack gets picked over the others is that he has come back into the team and has been excellent as has Lundstram alongside him . Raskin was inconsistent at best before his injury and Cifuentes has shown nothing . To be honest I`m not even sure what his role in a midfield would be . If swap doesn`t happen and Big Phil gets to work on him there could still be a good player in there waiting to come out.
43.) 23 Nov 2023 13:11:17
Cifuentes is better than a good player.
44.) 23 Nov 2023 15:14:57
Bornabear, u never answered my question.
Tell me this, how much do u think it would take for us to sell cifuentes?
Also what do u rate his value as?
And lastly mate, had u seen him play before we signed him? If so what was your opinion of him?
Just genuine questions mate since your rubbishing my valuation of him, which I’ll be honest from what we’ve seen so far £3m is generous to the player.
That’s the cold hard facts. If he was at Celtic yous would agree.
Lastly caciedo was already at Brighton when they wanted cifuentes. He was likely caciedo replacement when they wanted him.
45.) 23 Nov 2023 15:52:50
Stevie Caciedo replacement that must tell you how highly they rate Cifuentes then.
46.) 23 Nov 2023 16:44:19
It absolutely does Beale.
I’m not saying he’s not got the ability, I’ve seen it in videos.
But since he came here, he’s not shown it and has been quite poor when he’s played.
I remember though Gilmour was playing after de zerbi went most of season not giving him a sniff, Gilmour was outstanding for a few months n de zerbi came out and said he wasn’t expecting that from Gilmour and he’s surprised him and gave him a lot to think about.
Perhaps that’s why they never perused it after that?
I don’t know.
Brighton can rate cifuentes as high as they want, I can only speak on what’s infront of me and he’s not showing up well as of now.
If Brighton want cifuentes they will get him that’s a fact, they’ll bid for him and the player will tell rangers he wants the move.
So time will tell.
47.) 23 Nov 2023 17:03:45
Allymc I kinda agree but then I also think he would be far better as a replacement for dessers than being played as a wide man.
48.) 23 Nov 2023 17:25:29
Stevie it’s irrelevant what you or I value him at. ‘The cold hard facts’ as you put it are that he’s valued close to £7m. Unfortunately you’re going to have to accept that.
49.) 23 Nov 2023 17:49:34
??
Not a chance is he valued at £7m by the club mate.
He can’t get a game ahead of a half finished Ryan jack and a guy 90% of fans wanted rid I fb a few weeks ago.
Both of whom are on the wrong side of 30 and contracts are up in the summer.
Wonder what we value them at?
Cifuentes isn’t valued at £7m by rangers.
Where did u get this figure from mate?
U have plucked it from thin air.
If we got a bid of £3-4m in January we’d bite the hand of the bidder.
And he’s not shown anything near that yet.
The much revered jon227 said as much the other day when he said we don’t have a player in the squad worth anywhere near £8m and he’s bite the hand off anyone bidding that for Butland, Danilo, cantwell and raskin, who himself is ahead of cifuentes atm.
So where does cifuentes valuation come from?
How can he be worth more than our star players when he can’t even be guaranteed a place on the bench some weeks.
Madness man.
50.) 23 Nov 2023 19:52:03
We would be fools to sell Cifuentes for 3/ 4m stevie, i seen the player he can be and that's a very talented midfielder, obviously not settled fast but that will come once he gets up to the speed of the game he's playing now, high hopes for him mate.
51.) 23 Nov 2023 21:09:44
Fingers crossed he finds his feet in time for 2nd half of season Beale, somewhere in the middle of all that my point, or one of them, was it shows sima isn’t valued as high as we had worried.
Maybe we can afford to buy sima in the summer if he wants to stay, and keep cifuentes.
A lot of folk thought we’d be priced out of a move for sima or that he’d go back to Brighton and feature, if true then this shows there willing to let him go and it won’t cost an arm and a leg.
Plenty time left for cifuentes to show what he’s got. ??.
52.) 23 Nov 2023 22:02:42
Think we get Sima for 5m stevie, I'd prefer both next season.
53.) 24 Nov 2023 00:28:50
Agreed Beale I think £5m will be their price and I do think we’ll sign him. Hope we do.
Also I’d rather keep hold of cifuentes for now to see how he does 2nd part of season.
I had extremely high hopes for him from what I seen I clips and the reports of fans and management.
They can’t all be wrong.
He may come good and he may not, remember Arnold peralta, signed with high expectations and unfortunately never lived up to it, bit if a hot head and very sadly met his demise back home in a gangland shooting gone wrong, according to reports.
Cifuentes can eithe live upto his hype once he settles or maybe he’s not got the mentality for Europe, like peralta and is moved back to the americas.
Time will tell.

08 Dec 2023 16:47:28
Danilo out for months, Lawrence till after winter break,
1.) 08 Dec 2023 17:29:47
Two strikers needed in January.
2.) 08 Dec 2023 19:51:36
Two strikers. Where's the money coming from even half decent goal scorers don't come cheap.
08 Dec 2023 16:32:18
Good to see John Park has left rangers.
1.) 08 Dec 2023 17:42:33
Not overly surprised, the transfers have been abysmal. Major changes needed in that department. This has got Clement written all over it.
2.) 08 Dec 2023 18:06:34
Huge relief John.
3.) 08 Dec 2023 18:08:54
Decision made b4 we appointed clement.
This is down to bisgrove.
4.) 08 Dec 2023 18:51:04
Didn't know that, nevertheless I'm glad he's gone.
05 Dec 2023 12:19:48
Once again we see questions that are stocking fillers that the board love.
Still a question about parking, and tickets, re Seville and away games.
Stevie no my question was not addressed.
It related to deffered wages for players during C.V. and the additional interest 15% allegedly payed . At least this will be a non reaccrring cost.
1.) 05 Dec 2023 12:45:51
Very poor answer from Bennett regarding the NI buses and referencing the 'subway loyal'. Assurances manager will be supported in Jan and summer though which is good. We need to get the net loss to zero before player trading.
2.) 05 Dec 2023 13:22:56
There was a guy on twitter/ X live posting the Q and a’s as they were happening, no footage just in writing.
Seen a lot at very politician type answers, deflection, from the board.
Of course This is how businessmen will always answer questions so not much can be done about it unless I’m am interview environment with follow ups.
John. That’s a fair question and one I’d imagine they’d like to have answers to make the books look better since it’s not a recurring problem.
Poor form players if they’re taking an extra 15% on top of what they are owed from the club.
Cheers John.
3.) 05 Dec 2023 13:30:10
Another waste of an agm with silly questions being asked, or handpicked by the board instead of focusing on the priorities.
4.) 05 Dec 2023 13:48:30
Not sure we do need to get the P&L to zero before player trading, long term ideally but year on year, no. Really it’s all driven on why we have that loss. Plenty not mentioned and he went for the headline, let’s not make a loss! Close to pointless that Q&A but I’m assuming the board have gone for, it wasn’t us. I suppose the difficulty is we can’t get answers without them telling the world. Jan transfer window for example.
5.) 05 Dec 2023 15:35:40
It’s typical of any agm for any company, sat at top table answering q questions for many a year.
Could not believe question re buses, park in Albion, two minutes from Helen st won’t make any difference
Buses for ferries stop in girvan for chip shop / pub for 40 minutes after every game us and them play.
6.) 05 Dec 2023 17:46:36
To the eejit who asked about rangers being net-zero, regulations state we must have nets on the goalposts so that'll never happen. ??.
7.) 05 Dec 2023 17:58:00
Am I being too cynical thinking there's more plants at our agm than there is at the botanical gardens?
Honestly, is it just coincidence that these idiots get asking their pointless, stupid questions? Hmmmmm?
8.) 05 Dec 2023 19:05:29
To be fair, the board didn’t pick and choose the questions. I was there and they allowed anyone attending to stand up and ask. PC came over superbly. Bennett stated clearly that no issue with investment in squad in January or Summer although PC said small changes in Jan and more of a rebuild in close season. I have real faith in PC and the Board (except Park Jnr) look a lot stronger.
Politics aside, Laura Fawkes asked a decent question and was addressed and questions over the finances were asked and answered. Could have been more asked and there were a fair few that were simply nonsense or self indulgent. (Away tickets, ticket office etc) and stuff that would be better for the Fans Forums.
Sorry your question wasn’t addressed John. Which one was that?
Again, PC was tremendous, he called the negativity from the fans out and pleaded for unity and a chance for him to make the obvious changes we all acknowledge are needed.
9.) 05 Dec 2023 19:53:59
Agree Ibrox4Me; I was there and have attended many AGMs and you always get daft questions and always will but the board do not hand pick them.
10.) 06 Dec 2023 07:30:03
Only one time any board will listen and that is always when its to late!
04 Dec 2023 16:31:13
If going to agm please don't ask for a seat next to granddaughter Or can we but a cuddly toy.
Or where to park your car.
This suits the board. Much more important things to ask.
1.) 04 Dec 2023 19:31:08
I’m hoping n someone can ask about the release clause in Butland contract.
I’ve no reason to doubt it’s true, as your info is always spot on John.
I just want it confirmed, as if it’s true, we need to renew contract with Improved terms and no release clause.
I think he’s a £20m keeper I truly do.
2.) 04 Dec 2023 19:50:36
Stevie that is a question that would not be answered, never.
3.) 04 Dec 2023 20:38:11
Is it John? I did kind of expect that to be the reply I just wasn’t sure if, as example, they could say yes there’s a clause but we won’t confirm the amount, or maybe theta would have to disclose the amount if asked. I’m not sure on these things John.
Cheers for reply though, and if u ever get the chance to confirm or deny there is a clause again John let us k ow as that’s one that’s really bugging me.
I see nick pope is out for a long time, there was another injury to a top club keeper aswel I can’t recall who. We need to be very wary he can’t be took away on the cheap by Newcastle or another in January.
4.) 04 Dec 2023 20:52:22
And rightly so.
5.) 04 Dec 2023 20:56:42
Isn’t he on a huge wage as it is? Can’t just improve it half way through a season because obv the club agreed the sell on clause. We got him for free so even 5 million etc is great business.
6.) 04 Dec 2023 21:48:43
We've seen Butland is worth more than 5m Raskin.
7.) 04 Dec 2023 22:53:54
He is worth more than 5million my star but with our record on keepers being so good I'm confident we could replace him well.
5million for guy you got for nothing is great business.
8.) 04 Dec 2023 22:08:27
Aye raskin that’s great business just cause we get sum1 for free we've to be happy with what we get?
No, he’s a £20m keeper as far as goi v to epl is concerned.
If he was playing in France or Spain or Italy amd English team wanted him they’d demand £20m so why shouldn’t we.
Look at some of the keepers in that league, Onana £55m a mean c’mon.
He’s on £35k a week.
If we offer him £40k a week and lose the buyout clause with a longer contract for his security Incase if injury and what not then it’s a good deal for him and a better deal for us.
Surely that has to be a top priority for us is securing our most valuable asset on a longer contract with no clause would be top of my list.
9.) 04 Dec 2023 22:31:20
Been really impressed with him, i believe he's one of England's best keepers, wouldn't be shocked if in euro squad.
10.) 04 Dec 2023 22:45:36
Doesn't matter what his worth is if there's a release clause though my star.
11.) 04 Dec 2023 22:52:49
Stevie if I get further confirmation from a different credible source I would say so.
U and I may be fortunate, I have submitted a question, I suspect I won’t be allowed to ask it.
12.) 04 Dec 2023 23:58:23
My star I totally agree mate. He’s better than Pickford for sure.
I feel ramsdale is Englands best keeper.
Is it Sam Johnstone who is 3rd choice?
Very good keeper, I’d say he’s also better than Pickford and for me England cs 4 best keepers are
Ramsdale
Pope
I couldn’t pick between Butland and Johnstone I’d prob be biased.
Also really rate big Forster and have no idea why he hasn’t had a great career and been no1 for a top club.
Absolute monster in goals.
13.) 05 Dec 2023 00:00:11
Cheers John aswell.
What’s this question?
It sounds like something we all may like and those in charge won’t want to answer?
14.) 05 Dec 2023 07:32:07
Got a feeling Butland only signed because of the release clause. If a epl club offer him 1st team football and 80k a week he'll be off.
15.) 05 Dec 2023 08:22:23
Wouldn’t you be off for £80k a week? If a descent offer comes in Butland will be sold? Is that not our player trading model?
16.) 05 Dec 2023 09:10:15
it just shows how poor our trading model is and how financially inept Scottish football is. Firstly putting a clause like that in a top players contract. Secondly, being so bad at valuing talent.
If Butland was on an EPL team the buyout would likely be £20-30mil.
17.) 05 Dec 2023 09:58:30
Do you not maybe think AllyMc62 that he wouldn't have signed without that clause. It's not put there at the clubs request. At the end of the day the player has the power.
18.) 05 Dec 2023 12:53:46
Nothing we can do if clause is there, it was Butlan/ agent who wanted it not club. if Butland want to leave not a lot we can do. but feel he is happy at present
Guaranteed place in team. Mayde going forward try and renosigate contract minus clause.
19.) 05 Dec 2023 12:58:30
The Newcastle one is interesting, if they wanted Butland as replacement for Pope and he went there, he would run the risk of being second choice again when Pope returned . He could have stayed at Palace or Man Utd and been second choice but he didn`t want that, so would he go to Newcastle anyway? They already have Dubravka and the German guy who used to play with Liverpool so I`m not sure they would go for another goalie anyway. Also linked with free agent, De Gea which is more likely I think.
20.) 05 Dec 2023 13:25:04
Personally I think they will go for de gea.
It makes a lot of sense for them.
Just thought I’d point out that kind of situation with Butland might happen and we need to try and lose this contract buyout thing.
21.) 05 Dec 2023 18:59:13
Winning the final in 2 weeks could be the feeling Butland likes and wants more of also I'm sure he could've went elsewhere for more money.
01 Dec 2023 17:41:47
I see we have also appointed Tom Taylor from Brighton as head of fitness and conditioning
Could be an interesting move, given all our fitness, injury problems.
1.) 01 Dec 2023 19:03:22
We need to try something different, our fitness has been shocking.
2.) 01 Dec 2023 19:03:34
Do you know much about him, John?
3.) 01 Dec 2023 19:48:55
We all knew our injury list was bad, but when PC came out and said it was the worst he'd seen, then that tells you how bad it's been.
I don't think this phenomenon is something unique to us as it appears to be widespread. Why is that? Footballers are fitter now than they've ever been, and technology has evolved at a rapid rate, so why are so many players picking up injuries? Is it the training methods and regimes? Too many games? Not enough rest?
4.) 01 Dec 2023 20:14:12
Too many games imo.
5.) 01 Dec 2023 20:20:44
RoR u r right it is widespread. Top managers in England blame amount of games and now var
Their clubs have done several studies in particular into muscle injury. They believe that stoppages r allowing muscle to cool and tear more often.
6.) 01 Dec 2023 21:02:11
Jfm, no other club in the league seem to have our fitness issues.
7.) 01 Dec 2023 21:27:25
Storm, no, spoke to someone at Brighton who says he knows his stuff, appears he will be working under doc Waller.
8.) 01 Dec 2023 22:15:23
That info doesn't sound right and my gut with a science background its heavily weighted as a political view against VAR. There seems to be a movement against VAR but I don't see many issues. Before was unholy unfair in some decisions now most correct but that doesn't suit some and you have to ask why.
9.) 02 Dec 2023 08:54:21
Mark, raisetheroofe asked for opinions. I gave mine, but just to keep you happy I googled " which scottish football team has most injuries" and this is the result.
injured players
# Club
1 Celtic. 14
2 Rangers 13
3 St. Mirren 14
4 Hearts. 13.
10.) 02 Dec 2023 09:45:06
Jfm, injuries across most clubs in Scotland, England and Europe continue to rise
Tjbb respect your view, but studies in Spain, Germany, France, Italy seem to back up Klopp pep ten hag et al.
11.) 02 Dec 2023 11:13:31
Exactly john, some seem to feel its just rangers. Playing every 3 days with little recovery time and little training.
12.) 02 Dec 2023 11:14:35
That fair enough John I've not really looked into it only there seems to be a wave against particularly talk sport. I get uncomfortable when things like this gain momentum, maybe I should look into it more. From a Rangers perspective we have benefited from VAR on many occasions, I doubt we would of got to the Euro final without it and we may of won the league cup with it. In 10 years time most decisions will automated and instant, suppose its the "bad" tackles and hand balls that will be contentious. The debate continues.
13.) 02 Dec 2023 12:32:28
Cool tjbb I’m not debating var in terms of decisions, it’s about number and length of some stoppages
I like var and agree it works for us in the main.
10 Dec 2023 17:02:59
Here’s hoping, 40 between these two would be excellent.
10 Dec 2023 13:16:55
My star I predicted 25 goals for sima and 15 dessers.
09 Dec 2023 19:02:00
No we can’t mark. He had a contract.
09 Dec 2023 19:00:38
Seeker yes we r allowed to make three changes to European squad
Kilted in most cases the signing on fee is spread over the length of contract
Example one million over four year deal is 250k a year, 5 k a week.
09 Dec 2023 13:39:45
Gofor is shankland a free hit for Europe, ie I think we have only three Scottish grown in squad. Ie Souttar Jack wright
Or does he count as one of three changes allowed.
11 Dec 2023 00:39:21
My response is what I’d pay for sima, that was the question.
10 Dec 2023 20:53:59
Gofor no.
10 Dec 2023 20:51:21
Walter no more than four million.
10 Dec 2023 17:21:38
Go for handball is not a penalty ball to hand not hand to ball.
10 Dec 2023 17:08:10
We rejected chance to get Armstrong after red against us, He is not a better prospect than mcausland.
