Anyone think we should we should try and get the boy Doig from Hibs?
What I've seen with Bassey doesn't excite me to be honest. I know it's a little harsh but I don't think he has a future at Ibrox.

Thoughts bears?

100 percent agree. Also think Patterson is the best full back in decades. Right and left backs we should hope for. I know Tierney and Robertson are right up there but this Doig is real class.

Been sayin doig for months. Simce he had a stormer v us at hibs. going to be class. Prob left it too late now tho.

We are missing an obvious trick not going for Doig of Hibs.
Him and Paterson could be our full backs for years to come. Not sure why we don’t persue the best young players playing in the SPL, McCann at St Johnstone, Campbell of Motherwell, Mccarthy of St Mirren to name a few, all at a good age with potential.

Bassey and James Maxwell are at least as good, if not better, prospects than Doig and will save us spending £3m.

I agree Tavson. Patterson looks to be twice the player Doig is. Can't comment on Maxwell as I've never seen him.

I don't know if maxwell will end up being better than patterson but i can assure you slim jim he's a terrific young left back imo also. I agree with John25 that maxwell looks like he's the next young player to break through on a similar scale to patterson and you better believe it!
I've posted on here over the last couple of days, that i see patterson and maxwell being our full backs for years to come 👍🇬🇧.

Doug is a better prospect than bassey no doubt and I hoped we would try and sign him.
I have been hearing good things like most about maxwell.

Kieran Tierney is 24 in 2 months, young Nathan P is only 19. If you go back to when KT was 19, I will say that there is not a lot between them.

Celtic totally mismanaged and ruined KT by totally over playing the lad at a young age. Hence why he is constantly injured. He is a fabulous young player when fit but is constantly injured.
Hopefully Rangers manage young Nathan better which I think they are by introducing him slowly and building him up.

The grass is always greener on the other side.

Except, sometimes fans need to trust our own players and manager to get the job done instead of constantly running them down and hankering after the next big prospect who has played well in 10 games for a diddy team.

Doug might be the next big thing but if SG doesn’t think he is right for us then I trust him.
