I want to elaborate on my post in the below thread regarding the tims generating more money and how there are "worrying times" ahead.

Firstly, I had posted that we hadn't got near to the tims so far, but I meant on the park. In Scotland, and with the league champions getting guaranteed CL money, we must keep up with them, and ultimately be better than them on the park, or they will pull away from us off it. That's not debatable!

However, here is the interesting bit. Firstly, we do have sellable assets, so that part is rubbish. Secondly, has the o/ p actually sat down and crunched the numbers when it comes to player trading between the 2 clubs? Because you should have before posting!

Over the last 4 seasons, with transfers in, and transfers out, the tims are 740k in the black. Do you know what we are? 4.75m in the black! Not bad for a team in such dire straights, is it?!

So, on top of making more from transfers, and granted, they've spent a lot more than us, we have also generated a fair amount from Europe in the last 4 seasons. Do you know how much the tims have made?

Yes, they have a bigger stadium and sell more tickets, but we still generate a decent wad from that. Yes they spend more on players, but is the gap really that big on the field for the money they spend? Nope! Yes they have richer owners than us, but has that stopped us winning the league before? Nope!

So you see, it's not that bad at all. If you want to believe everything you read in the rags then that's up to you. Me? Well I prefer to deal in facts.

I'll refer back to my first point. We must keep up with them, and then be better than them on the park, or we will find ourselves a lot worse off than them off it. However, as the gap isn't that big (even If others would have you believe it is), then we are in a good position to get there.

they are 9 points ahead of us, 3 games, should be 2 games then game on . injuries have killed us or they would not be 9 points in front.

They are currently ahead of us with their squad but imo not miles ahead and as it sits at the moment they are catchable, no doubt about it IMHO ?.

A sense of realism needed here. The next 3 old firm games will show us all where we are at. Sadly I feel it will be 2 x defeats and a draw.

Please bear in mind we have no money to spend and are currently punching well above our weight if you take into account debt to shareholders and actual revenue generated in comparison to them.

For me the gap is bigger than most think. Yes the next couple of games against them will be very telling. But as it stands Imo none of our starting 11 would get in to they're starting 11 is that not a considerable gap in quality?

Like I said guys, we could be that far behind them, but I want to see how the next couple of games go against them before making any judgement.
Once again I'll say it, we must beat them in the SC semi, or it will be a catastrophe! For us to show that we can compete with them we must at least put up a performance against them at the midden, beat them at Hampden, and beat them at Ibrox. If we were to get our arses handed to us again at their ground, get beat in SC, then, and only then, will I fear the worst! That will be nothing short of disastrous for us going forward.

Gents, iom just having another go at me, very wearing, the guy I refer to you all know it was Stuart Gibson, who all informed rangers fans know has now purchased 8% off our shareholding

Many off u like I have seen his podcasts talking about his life, business and investing heavily in our club

As iom infers not a mystery man I made up, in fairness the news may not have reached remote
parts of Scotland.

Tav over that Canadian boy every day a the week for me. Tilleman over turnbull or o'rielly for me. Would take Goldson over Scott Arfield. Rather shagger than heart. Their front three plus vickers, hatate and McGregor are the ones a would take at rangers. But none of our players make their starting 11. i don’t think so.

Don’t think it’s just you John but the club in general. I think however it’s just certain peoples characters who want to constantly dig the club or anything positive coming out of it .
Keep up the good work John ., A couple of years ago mull had us dead and buried by 2023 . and we are still kicking.
