From my information there will be interviews conducted from tomorrow onwards with 5 candidates. 3 interviews will be held face to face in London and the other 2 will take place in Glasgow.

One via Teams and the other one face to face in Glasgow.

Davis/ Rae and Smith will be in charge up until the International Break and board will meet to finalise 2 man shortlist.

These two candidates will be put towards the board and a vote will take place.

Expect no announcement for at least 10 days on management appointment.

Forget the betting and the books that are being created.

As per my understanding the 5 candidates are Lampard, Muscat, McInnes, Ryan Lowe and Jensen.

I am sorry but none of the above fills me with confidence.

Abu D - who would be your choice?

2.) 04 Oct 2023 12:01:56
Are you sure Billy Davies isn’t on the list?

3.) 04 Oct 2023 12:05:30
1st choice Jensen
2nd Muscat
3rd McInnes

The other 2 are horrendous options.

4.) 04 Oct 2023 12:10:51
Apparently Lowe is already rulesd out.

5.) 04 Oct 2023 12:22:13
Thanks Abu Dhabi appreciate the info mate.

Looking at that list I noticed something, just jumped out at me.

Mccinnes - best of Scotland?

Jensen- best European?

Muscat- best outwith Europe?

Lowe- best championship?

Lampard - best commercial and unemployed?

That’s my take on that list, it’s like one from each possible environment.
Like the board have picked what they see as the top option from each.

Have to say none fill me with great excitement.

6.) 04 Oct 2023 12:23:16
Tough to be honest, think Jensen would be my preference but whoever comes in has a very difficult job on their hands.

We are a poor team and squad at the minute with a very bad summer transfer window just gone.

Asking players such as Davies and Wright to play when they were told they were free to move on etc just shows how badly the recruitment was managed.

New manager needs at least 4 transfer windows to make the required changes but we don’t have lots of cash either.

The next appointment has to be given time and not 1 year. We are a fair bit behind in terms of quality in our starting 11 and strength in depth.

In my opinion we lack creativity and first job would be to bring back Hagi and Lowry in Jan, then focus on the defence. 3 out of our 4 need to be replaced at the back. The time is over on selecting players on past form and loyalty.

7.) 04 Oct 2023 12:32:04
What about this other guy from Belgium that has been mentioned? Philippe Clement. He has a hell of a CV and I’m starting to see his name pop up more and more.

8.) 04 Oct 2023 12:45:42
Not sure who I would want but strike out Lowe and McInnes right away. I read recently that we looked at Peter Bosz before appointing Beale. That was a shocking decision, someone like that is what we need, a wily old veteran of a few leagues, who knows what he wants and how to get it. I know he has had money but the difference between the PSV side under him and the one we played last year under Van Nistelrooy is night and day despite them losing their two best players. I know we can`t get him now but it makes me wonder if Clement might be the right option as a man with similar experience in a few leagues.

9.) 04 Oct 2023 12:55:03
Won the Juliper league 3 times with Club Brugge and Genk.
He recently managed Monaco but failed to win any silverware.

10.) 04 Oct 2023 14:38:06
I just don’t believe mcinnes is on the list just can’t see he knocked could back before and his football is boring.

11.) 04 Oct 2023 15:18:35
Like the way AZ Alkmaar go about their football, can see why Pascal Jansen is being considered.
Either him or Muscat for me, the latter because he will know the market in the far east inside out.

12.) 04 Oct 2023 17:46:08
Abu exactly what I said regarding recruitment.

13.) 04 Oct 2023 18:53:47
Braid mcinness not even a top three managers in Scotland. He is behind martindale mcinness Robinson kettwell Brendan o ability.

14.) 05 Oct 2023 06:28:46
Can anyone answer if Clement speak English for me If no English then no job simple.

15 Jul 2023 18:04:45
Danilo and Cuefentes will be confirmed next week once Kamara and Sakala are offloaded this week for £8.5m combined.

Do not expect any more incomings unless CL group stages are confirmed.

Ignore the noise and accept the facts. Talks of £15m to spend are wide of the mark. We have multiple loans to pay back and this will be evident on our summer spend. Hence the reason we have been dealing in free transfers and loans.

AbuDhabiLoyal

1.) 15 Jul 2023 18:17:04
So we are still not sorting the defence out that’s needed sorted for the last 2/ 3 seasons. If nobody comes in at centre back then be aswell giving them the league again.

2.) 15 Jul 2023 18:23:50
Absolute garbage, we have no loans to pay back at all. Everything converted to shares.

We have one credit facility like all clubs and that is underwritten by Bennetts company.

Scaremongering from our own support is horrific and too much time spent listening to fans from another club.

3.) 15 Jul 2023 18:23:57
What makes them facts, because you say so. There are others on here I'll believe ahead of you, sorry.

4.) 15 Jul 2023 18:39:28
No too sure you'll be correct but I hope you are. I suspect it'll. be weeks before we get Any of those you named, and that's even if we get them.

5.) 15 jul 2023 18:39:46
your facts ? naw ta .

6.) 15 Jul 2023 18:48:40
We've spent around £8m on 2 players

Free transfers aren't exactly free either, Sima loan will have a fee attached.

Danilo if signed will cost around £6m

Cifuentes will cost around £1.5m

Panzo will cost around £2.5m

We'll have spent well over £15m if all comes to fruition.

7.) 15 Jul 2023 18:52:39
And yet the manager said that he had a good budget to spend. As things stand we have spent £5.3 million net and if your ins and outs are correct we will probably be around another £1 million up, so that means we will have spent only £4.3 million . Hardly a good budget for a Rangers manager. I`m fed up with all this negative talk about loans to repay keeps being brought up . It has been used to explain where all the Bassey, Patterson and Aribo money went, where the Europa money went and now probably where the Champions League money went. Time will tell but we must have more money than this to spend.

8.) 15 Jul 2023 18:53:29
One loan, paid for Dessers and Lammers probably about 8m combined. Danilo will be 5m plus, cifuentes will be a fee north of 1m. A CB will be signed. Bosmans are also not free, the player gets paid. It’s said we are dealing in frees as if it’s a bad thing, we have signed good players.

9.) 15 Jul 2023 18:55:45
Abu, more will leave including McCrorie, Wright etc and we’ll bring in another CB.

We only have brought in one loan and have spent on Lammers, Dessers, and will be spending on Cifuentes and Danilo.

10.) 15 Jul 2023 18:57:12
Free transfers and loans? Get a grip. 1 loan is factually not ‘loans’ and free transfers I think factually Dessers and Danilo are not free transfers. Maybe you should take your head out the desert sand AbuDhabi.

11.) 15 Jul 2023 19:26:44
Will say it again, in terms of incomings and outgoings. The £15m you are all led to believe that we have to spend is a pipe dream. Slate me at your will, it’s fine but as the oracle says, everyone is entitled to their opinion.

12.) 15 Jul 2023 19:30:40
BornaBear - Butland, Dowell, Sterling and Balogun are not free transfers? Smell the coffee, we are broke and will not spend £15m this summer.

13.) 15 Jul 2023 19:46:25
Yes of course you are entitled to your opinion but when you say they are facts you look foolish.

14.) 15 Jul 2023 19:53:38
This summer. Forgive the spelling and rough fees

McGregor out of contract / Butland Free
Helander out of contract / Leon Free
Alfie out of contract / Dessers 1.5 million
Kent out of contract / Lammers 3 million
Arfield out of contract / Dowell Free
Sima Loan
Sterling Free

So we have spent 4.5 million. Would expect any cash that’s raised through sales to be spent but we need to start shifting players first or you’ve got a squad of around 32 feck sake. So not expecting the quoted 15 million without sales. I do believe however again like the last 2 years our capital projects will impact on the transfer budget i. e the expansion of the stadium. Probably wrong.

15.) 15 Jul 2023 19:54:47
Abu would you accept MB was given a budget regardless of who was sold? If no1 was sold I'd still expect daily and cifuentes in and tend to. agree based on mb comments about having 4 experienced ch in after balogun we may not see another ch and imo thatll be a massive mistake.

16.) 15 Jul 2023 20:31:39
It’s a pipe dream yet by the end of the window we will have spent it.

17.) 15 Jul 2023 20:32:02
If we get the players wanted over the next few days . we will have spent in excess of £15m. Those moaning need to behave themselves. We are still trying to fight the disaster we were left with years ago. Well done to the manager/ boars for this seasons incoming so far .

18.) 15 Jul 2023 20:41:45
Abu wee piece of advice mate, your opinions and guesses are not “facts”. as you’ve mentioned in quite a few of your posts of late. If it’s something that’s come from a source then say so. Otherwise we get a lot of misleading information doing the rounds here which takes away from the few with genuine connections who make a fairly regular and accurate contribution.

19.) 15 Jul 2023 20:59:17
Does it really matter what we spend as long as it is within our budget and MB gets players he has identified. spending for the sake of it will notmake us a better team, if MB gets say anther 3 players he has identified for 10m and we get in about 7m from sales, that would represent a good window within our budget, plus if I say if we could make group stage of CL that may release further budget. still have my doubts on MB but we all have to support him as our manager.

20.) 15 Jul 2023 21:14:49
Ifnwe get danil and cifuentes plus dessers lammers that's not far off 15 mill?

21.) 15 Jul 2023 21:18:28
Wouldn’t say we’ve hamstrung to free’s and loans. We’ve done smart business. Bringing in Butland, Sterling and Dowell as out of contract players but they are players that would command a decent fee if they had time on contract at previous clubs. Great additions and it has allowed us to then dig a bit deeper for Dessers, Lammers and hopefully Danilo. Smart business if you ask me.

I’m delighted with what we’ve done so far in terms of recruitment and the most pleasing thing is that a lot of it has been done early doors. If we can finalise Danilo, Cifuentes and Panzo then I woudont be expecting any more in the door unless we lose someone we were planning on retaining.

22.) 15 Jul 2023 21:32:51
Desser is more than 1.5.

23.) 15 Jul 2023 23:05:33
Aye let's spend millions on players when we can get them for free? Odd statement, usually followed up by, we're skint, etc etc. Really happy with the transfer window so far. Have plenty of confidence in Beales ability to pick a player.

24.) 15 Jul 2023 23:45:56
Free transfers and loans ?

Sorry but what planet you on?

Or you just a tim but dim?

25.) 15 Jul 2023 23:47:08
People need to realise budget is also spent on wages too I'm pretty sure jack butland would be cost quite a bit too.

26.) 15 Jul 2023 23:57:14
Windy dessers alone was 4.5
Lammers 3.5
Danilo 5.5
Cifuentes 1.5.

27.) 16 Jul 2023 08:47:37
Gc1873 totally agree been saying for a while now it's the defense not attack.

We have hardly won anything and the defense has stayed pretty much the same

Mcgregor
Tav goldson. ? Barasic

For years same 4 of 5 just left CB keeps changing.

28.) 16 Jul 2023 08:51:47
We do have the highest wage bill in the league

Which is crazy when we keep getting injury prone players and paying them for nothing.

29.) 16 Jul 2023 09:06:32
Paul cool. The last 2 aren’t in yet. I don’t have a problem with what’s happening. I just highlighted it’s really like for like and we need to trim that squad. The last 2 if on they come in will be covered by sales. Increasing our attendance is a must for FFP.

30.) 16 Jul 2023 10:40:05
It's like monopoly money chat on here.

31.) 16 Jul 2023 13:32:52
Have never looked at the finances but its hard to believe we have a higher wage bill than Celtic who have a massive squad even compared to ours . I suppose, maybe the Japanese / Koreans players are on smaller wages and they have a lot of those.

32.) 16 Jul 2023 15:19:33
What people are not adding on is Cantwell and Raskin they are technically this season signing as they were pre contracts but got brought in early with fees so Beale has probably had to agree that was partnon this summers budget away on them.

12 Jul 2023 04:21:41
Another bid for Danilo being submitted by the end of the week. Bid will be £4.5m with £1.5m in add-ons including a 10% sell on.

Feyenoord still looking for circa £8m for him. Seems like we are not content with the forward line just yet.

Proviso will be that if Danilo comes in then Colak will be leaving and looking to recoup at least £1.8m.

Let's see how it pans out. Feel sorry for Colak as he knows where the back of the net is but is not suited to what Beale wants from his forwards. As always he will leave with our best wishes.

AbuDhabiLoyal

1.) 12 Jul 2023 08:24:45
If another bid has gone in for Danilo then Colak is definitely going. Not sure it’s 8M I read more 6.5M. Don’t really get the rumpus with Balogun, he’s an emergency back up for injuries, played regular with Goldson in defence, no money sign on or transfer additions, knows and loves the club and will prob retire after this stint. No brainier till the A team arrive.

2.) 12 Jul 2023 09:21:10
A wee question guys ?If we hopefully do sign danilo?who in your opinions will be the no.1 central striker ie dessers or danilo ?.

3.) 12 Jul 2023 09:29:11
We will not be playing 1 striker mostly be playing 2.

4.) 12 Jul 2023 09:49:38
Might go 2 up front.

5.) 12 Jul 2023 10:01:46
Hard to tell SWS until the end of preseason. ATM prob Dessers but too early to speculate. Was hoping Traore would be there as he gives a different option but who knows.

6.) 12 Jul 2023 10:10:23
If we sign Danilo already have dessers and lammers then throw in sakala and roofe as we don’t know there situ yet. Colak will leave so it looks like 2 up top to me.
Strange one tbh unless both have diff attributes and will rotate to suit who we play against. I always thought 4231 but it’s shaping up slightly diff now.

7.) 12 Jul 2023 10:16:31
Danilo will play behind the striker. Dessers will lead the line and gives us options of Lammers, Sima, and Danilo to play as the inverted wingers that beale likes to use.
Since all 3 can also play as a centre striker it gives us some depth in case of an injury to dessers.

8.) 12 Jul 2023 10:16:48
I'd imagine dessert will be on the right of the 3.

9.) 12 Jul 2023 10:22:38
I think Danilo would be brought in to play the 2 split strikers, it wouldn’t necessarily be one or the other, split strikers is MB preffered formation. He just hasn’t had the personnel or the right players before. If you look at the attributes of both Dessers and Danilo you can see why MB would think that.

My personal opinion (which is garbage) is if we had the both it would be our strongest strike force pairing since the early 2000,s. And would be really exciting to watch. I’m still doubtful we will get him though. He’d be a massive fans favourite and would love to buy my son and daughter both new kits with Danilo on the back.

10.) 12 Jul 2023 11:00:34
I think it would be an ambitious signing but for me, Danilo isn't a player i'd be splashing £6m on. I thought he showed glimpses of quality however never held down a starting spot at feyenoord last year.
He is quite lightweight and i'm not sure will suit our game.

11.) 12 Jul 2023 11:13:01
We'll win nothing with same back four from last season.

12.) 12 Jul 2023 12:48:40
It was lack of goals that mostly cost us last season Ulsterblue and if you're thinking otherwise, u ain't digesting what mostly cost us trophies my friend ?.

28 Jun 2023 16:23:39
Another bid submitted for Danilo today. £4.3m up front with add ons taking it to £5.5m total.

Feyenoord want circa £5m upfront. Talks ongoing.

Dessers is still a target but club unwilling to sanction €6.5m on a 28 year old with very little sell on value.

AbuDhabiLoyal

1.) 28 Jun 2023 16:53:17
Aye patch desserts man. Danilo is the one we want.

2.) 28 Jun 2023 16:57:42
Pay the £5 million for Danillo no brainer.

3.) 28 Jun 2023 16:58:54
I really hope we get this one just splash the cash for Danilo. ?.

4.) 28 Jun 2023 17:00:43
I agree with Stevie and he's no even pished! ????.

5.) 28 Jun 2023 17:10:28
a think if we get them players that will be us done and then a 1 in 1 out scenario.

6.) 28 Jun 2023 17:17:12
If we can secure Danilo for £5m it will be a good deal; we should be able to command a significantly higher resale value in due course assuming he performs!

7.) 28 Jun 2023 17:36:24
The only issue I would have with Danilo is his lack of height he's only around 5'8" playing in a league full of hammer throwing bully boys.

8.) 28 Jun 2023 17:52:13
Half celtics team are under 5ft10 so height shouldn't be an issue.

9.) 28 Jun 2023 18:04:54
He will have plenty of big guys alongside him. I don't think that either Morelos or McCoist was much taller but it didn't stop them and in McCoist's day there were even more hammer throwers in the Scottish leagues!

10.) 28 Jun 2023 18:11:29
Don't like comparing, KJB but Kyogo isn't the tallest.

11.) 28 Jun 2023 18:11:44
Defo pay 5m for Danilo.

12.) 28 Jun 2023 18:14:24
23 year old danil or away to be 29 year old dessers with no sell on value. No brainer on danilo.

13.) 28 Jun 2023 18:14:27
Kyogo is only 5'7 I think and he's done pretty well.

14.) 28 Jun 2023 18:39:37
KJB, Kyogo is 5’7 and he scored 25+ league goals last season. It’s irrelevant if you play to your players strengths. We have signed a lot of players so far who are 6ft and above. Sima is also 6’2/ 3.

15.) 28 Jun 2023 18:44:59
KJB, Kyogo stands at 5’7 and scored 25+ leagues goals last season. It’s about playing to your players’ strengths. Majority of our signings so far are over 6ft too. Sima who has also signed is 6’3.

16.) 28 Jun 2023 18:45:20
Would be very impressed with Danilo - coming from Dutch footie think he'll link up very well with Lammers up top.

I've never been overly keen on Dessers, so don't mind if this one doesn't happen.

17.) 28 Jun 2023 18:48:46
I think when you look at danillo game time compared to his output.

He's one I'm looking forward to seeing how he does starting every week ?.

18.) 28 Jun 2023 18:51:30
I'd imagine it's the club testing the water with the Dutch team, better to go in low and then increase the offer, we can certainly afford him, we've spent very little money so far.

19.) 28 Jun 2023 20:42:43
£3.5m on Lammers and £1m to release Cifuentes so not much at all Mark44.

20.) 28 Jun 2023 22:14:52
Before the window opened I guessed that Rangers summer budget was around the £7.5m mark. £10m if we were lucky.

Lammers, Cifuentes, and Danilo, will cost almost £10m all in. Then there’s signing on fees and stuff with the other players signed. I really do think that's it for now, and we’ll need to move players on before we continue spending and bringing bodies in.

If we do raise more money I really hope we spend it on the defense. A new CB is desperately needed. Souttar is far too injury prone, and Davies just isn’t built for Scottish football.

21.) 28 Jun 2023 23:37:18
Lcb will be signed before anyone is sold.

22.) 29 Jun 2023 00:33:57
I agree verdant need to look at moving some players on for reasonable fees.

23.) 29 Jun 2023 21:39:38
Agreed, I'd like to see some money being raised through player sales.

26 Jun 2023 00:21:06
Have it on good authority that we did trigger the buy out clause for Tillman but Bayern actually triggered their buy back clause.

The talk of £1m comp and 10% of any fee is off the mark, more to the tune of around £3.5m that the club have banked.

Shrewd piece of business by Ross Wilson. To think that posters were calling for his head. Some money he has made us during his tenure. Credit where credit is due.

AbuDhabiLoyal

1.) 26 Jun 2023 00:41:27
Not sure that's right as the transfers would have to be declared.

2.) 26 Jun 2023 05:42:39
If the money for Tillman was ring-fenced as was claimed then that plus the compo from Bayern gives a decent amount of money for a high quality player.

3.) 26 Jun 2023 07:04:06
By ‘good authority’ I hope you don’t mean the story stating exactly that on Ibrox News (which is the worst authority possible) .
I do really hope it is true however can I ask the source?

4.) 26 Jun 2023 07:12:02
Abu- don't believe everything you read on Rangers News Now.

5.) 26 Jun 2023 08:22:01
How would that work. If we triggered the option surly we would still have to agree terms with Tillman for a permanent deal before any buy back happens.

Don’t make any sense.

6.) 26 Jun 2023 09:31:35
Wil this didn’t happen.

7.) 26 Jun 2023 09:55:18
Herewego, no transfer took place, he was on loan it ended and he remained a Bayern player, one way or another.

8.) 26 Jun 2023 10:16:37
???what a load of rubbish oh aye you can buy him for 5million or if you don't buy him we will give you 3.5 million

Aye right!

And people didn't like Wilson for more than tilman deal

The point was the amount of players he brought in compared to amount that became first team regulars were not good enough nobody stated much about his business sense from what I remember.

9.) 26 Jun 2023 10:17:33
Our top forward before Wilson arrived Morelos our top forward after Wilson left Morelos and same in many other positions.

10.) 26 Jun 2023 11:09:22
????.

11.) 26 Jun 2023 11:27:53
Jesus.

So, let's follow this logic, we are to believe that:

- Rangers triggered the buyout clause
- Tillman then agreed to come to Rangers
- Rangers signed him
- Bayern immediately triggered the buyback
- Tillman, having just agreed to move to Rangers agreed to move back to Bayern
- Bayern paid Rangers £3.5m for this

I mean, come on.

Alternatively:

- Rangers triggered the Buyout Clause
- Tillman rejected Rangers
- There was a clause written into the deal that if the player rejected the move Bayern would compensate Rangers with a notional fee

Occam's Razor.

12.) 26 Jun 2023 12:12:38
Gdog my understanding of what happened from what I've been told is we approached Bayern saying we wanted to take up the buy option but were told no by them. They then activated one of the clauses they had inserted that they could pay us 1m and a % of future sale to void the buy option. At no point did our club speak to Tilman officially regarding a move. His representatives made it clear he would have signed for us if Bayern gave the OK for the buy option.

13.) 26 Jun 2023 14:26:44
@Belshill, so the second option then, not a buyback as the OP posted, which was my point (for a buyback there needs to be a buy in the first place)

14.) 26 Jun 2023 14:41:22
Not saying the original post is true regarding Tillman but similar things have happened in the past. Jack Hendry is the one that comes to my mind but there’s definitely been more. Celtic put him out on a loan to buy then the team he went to triggered it and sold him immediately for more money to a different team. It’s not as ridiculous as some folk are making it out to be. Having said that Bayern are very shrewd and I would doubt that they wouldn’t have had an option to cancel the loan to buy for a compensation fee so I find the £1m and 10% to be believable.

15.) 26 Jun 2023 14:54:13
AbuDhabiLoyal - say the 5 mill was included in the loan to buy option as reported, does that mean if we get 3.5 mill, bayern triggered the buy back clause and forfeited the initial 5 mill agreed then payed another 3.5 million as part of there buy back deal meaning they see Tillmans value around 8-9 mill seems strange to me.
but we will never know fully what was agreed exactly contractually at the beginning or end of Tillmans time with us.
He leaves on good terms either way, his value went from 2 mill to 5 mill after his spell with us.

Wilson was always excellent in getting the best deal when it came to selling players, unfortunately it was with the acquisition of players that we were let down although that was perhaps not down to him but rather to others on the Board.

As regards Tillman, there are varying stories as to the deal that as put in place by Wilson with Bayern, I doubt that we will ever truly know what the terms were other than that we will benefit financially and by all accounts with a seven figure sum as a result of the Agreement that was made.

17.) 26 Jun 2023 16:16:20
Let's not have any more wild guesses at what Bayern did or didn't do it looks ridiculous .

18.) 26 Jun 2023 16:22:13
I'm seeing we could have 5 ex Stoke City players soon . lovely.

19.) 26 Jun 2023 17:16:34
David, yes they did. But they also had to declare the transfers which hasn't happened in this case so the ops version of what happened isn't true.

20.) 26 Jun 2023 18:42:52
Here we go- I know I’m not saying the original rumour is true but there’s been some replies to the post which implies the idea of it happening is totally ridiculous which is not the case.

21.) 26 Jun 2023 20:47:33
Fort who is the five players? i can only remember Butland being there player.

22.) 26 Jun 2023 22:35:35
@beale, butland, sterling, i'm sure matondo had a loan at Stoke. And possibly sima. Can't think of the other one.

23.) 26 Jun 2023 23:50:29
Maja herewego but only Butland was a Stoke player rest were others clubs.

Delighted to get the 3 points today. Got to keep grinding out results.

Key points from todays game :

- Cifuentes was poor first half and is not the answer in my opinion. Seems like he wants too much time and there is not much urgency.

- Poor tackle from him and when challenging with the foot raised and nowhere near the ball, it leaves you open to retrospective action. The red card will stand even if we appeal in my opinion.

- We are severely lacking pace at the back. Both fullbacks are slow and easily beat one on one.

Moving on to Thursday, I feel that even a draw is out of reach. Too many injuries and not enough firepower up top. We live in hope.

1.) 09 Dec 2023 23:12:10
Surely the fact that we won quite convincingly was a key point but let’s skip the positives and get right down to the negatives.

2.) 09 Dec 2023 23:35:01
They have more injuries than us at the moment.

3.) 10 Dec 2023 00:14:11
Very negative outlook considering how the game went. To counter what you’ve said:

- Cifuentes didn’t set the world alight but is steadily improving with each game. There are moments where he takes too long on the ball but he’s in the process of adapting. A lot of people have already made their mind up on him so are being hyper critical and pointing out every flaw.

- harsh red card no malice or force behind it but where he catches him always gives the ref a decision to make. Will be appealed if it means we can play him next week and give the injured guys an extra week to catchup fitness.

- Tav is the best fullback in the country and has been for years. Borna was solid again.

- Thursday we beat them with Beale in charge so we can sure as hell beat them now.

4.) 10 Dec 2023 00:40:17
Cifuentes was good until his red card, as he was during the week.

We have, by a mile, the best defence in the league.

Our issues are at the top end of the pitch.

5.) 10 Dec 2023 01:24:27
Here's another opinion, the money spent he should be strolling it by now, guy was a waste of good money like another few un the summer and yea it was a red.

6.) 10 Dec 2023 09:07:51
Should be strolling it because he cost a million dear dear mr pc, take it you don't understand how the game works? new country, different football, daylight 6/ 7 a day, massive changes in temperature, many things changing in his life, but he should have settled after a hand full of months in a strange country, crazy thinking mr pc ?.

7.) 10 Dec 2023 12:31:57
Again I'm reading some comments about the Aberdeen Cup Final on Facebook, let's be honest here, our oun attitude against Aberdeen is the reason we struggle, we play to our strengths we beat them, simple as that, they are a poor side who should never have been allowed to take 5 points off us this season so far. On the Real Betis game, I honestly feel we can get at least a draw, either way as I said in an earlier post, once again we are the only Scottish Team in Europe after Christmas.

8.) 10 Dec 2023 13:11:15
In ALL sport, you've got to point out negatives to rectify them.

30 Nov 2023 23:07:18
Had the pleasure of watching the match with the Plymouth True Blues tonight, have to say that it was a pleasure with a terrible
result sadly.

Key takeaways this evening :

- Cantwell is not a RW and needs to be moved inside but it's apparent that PC does not like him at all. Wouldn't be surprised if he is nowhere next season.
- Cifuentes and Lammers are empty jerseys and offer nothing, they were appalling this evening.
- Davies and Souttar are slow, lethargic and not what we require. The goal we lost was horrific.
- Barasic is so slow and offers zero when attacking or beating a man, let alone defending.

It's very clear to see that this squad is not up to standard. However we all need to realise that we have no money to spend and that it's going to take a miracle to get a result in Betis or at The Piggery at NY.

Let's face it, we are a mess from defence to front. Multiple players aren't fit for the jersey. Clement has a massive job on his hands.

1.) 01 Dec 2023 01:51:00
The fact that we have zero decent wingers is why Cantwell is playing there. (mccausland won't play every game) I fully agree he shouldn't be playing there. On his game he is our best player and shouldn't be moved to accomodate others. 2 wingers and a striker are highest priority for me right now.
I can't help but feel Danilo is just a Sakala type up top, run about all day but will miss most chances.
It looks like his mind is already made up with Dessers having not came off the bench last 2 games.
You just can't help but feel it will get worse during December until we recruit. I don't believe any manager could do much with our squad just now to win consistently and challenge for the title. It needs another overhaul with money we don't have. Its not the end of the world drawing a game in europe but you just know how this ends up in the months ahead.

2.) 01 Dec 2023 08:22:52
Dado sakala is better than him for me from what I have seen so far but hopefully Danilo kicks on.

30 Nov 2023 01:33:12
Will stick my neck out and say we win by 2 goals tonight. I think the noise of Ibrox will scare the living daylights out of Aris.

Team for me as follows, dependant upon Jack being declared fit :

JB
Tav JS BD Borna
Jack JL
RM Cantwell Sima
Danilo

This evening is huge from a financial perspective. Circa extra €4m if we progress.

Main concern is the money wasted on dead wood who offer next to nothing to the team.

Time for the part timers to be moved on. We have to realise that we simply can't afford another "rebuild"

PC most certainly has his work cut out.

AbuDhabiLoyal

1.) 30 Nov 2023 06:30:41
I think PC said in his presser that Jack and Raskin are both unavailable. Really hope you’re right about the score - I don’t think Limassol are a bad team by any stretch so any win for us would be an excellent result.

2.) 30 Nov 2023 09:03:23
I agree 1872, none of these teams are walkovers, Rangers must be aware of the shock result? But I must admit that I’m far more confident under Clemente’s regime.

3.) 30 Nov 2023 09:06:08
I wouldn't be surprised he brings lammers back in tonight night.

4.) 30 Nov 2023 09:13:22
Dont think the noise will phase them tbh, the fans are all mental out there at the best of times.
Need a good win, although our resources might be stretched a bit.
PC has his work cut out with 2 games a week right through to March, and the other lot taking a break (again! )

5.) 30 Nov 2023 10:54:46
I wouldn’t have a clue what team he’ll play, Butland, Tavernier, and the rest. But it’ll suit the occasion and get a result. This team will play the usual very defensive setup with quick breaks, but I’m sure P C will know that?

6.) 30 Nov 2023 11:44:37
Abu Dhabi

Thought Jack very doubtful if not out.

7.) 30 Nov 2023 12:47:38
I think the away game should ensure that the team, at least, don`t think this will be easy. S. G used to always say that you don`t really know a team until you`ve played them once and we`ve done that now. Hopefully the crowd and maybe even the cold will unsettle them but the players need to be up for it like we were against Betis and Sparta. Keep the back door shut and take our chances, it sounds simple but it never is.

28 Sep 2023 12:01:49
Sense of realisation needed, let's not get carried away. The 4-0 victory has papered over our cracks and was against a team who lost 3-0 at home against 10 men at the weekend.

Yes there are positives with the clean sheet and actually scoring more than 2 goals but there is a long way to go.

Delighted we are in the semi and looking forward to seeing if we can continue to grind out results.

There is a naivety in our play when we go in front, we don't press but we seem content at the 1-0. Goals and substantial wins breed confidence, I still feel our 3 man midfield is very defensive and lacks creativity.

As much as I genuinely do not think MB is the man moving forward, the team will get my support and let's hope we may actually start to turn a corner.

Wash your mouth out with soap, ADL!
You aren't playing to the rules of the minority where you aren't allowed to give praise on a post and still point out some deficiencies of the team.
Agree with everything you say.
Hell for leather at the start. Get the goal and then we sit back with no urgency to our play and we wonder how we have some hairy moments and the fans get frustrated?

2.) 28 Sep 2023 12:30:19
Credit where its due mate we played with tempo and urgency the passing was much better and could actually see a shape about the team. I'm the 1st 1 to get on the team when it's not going our way so when it does click then praise the team is the right thing.

3.) 28 Sep 2023 13:05:07
MPH, you are going to be on the wrong side of history - if I was you I'd be looking for anonymity for a while so you can come back on and say "I always knew we would come good"

4.) 28 Sep 2023 13:10:27
This same Livingston team put us out the cup last season under GVB. Martindale said himself last night, their game plan was exactly the same as last time. They hoped for high balls into their own box and were obviously looking to make something happen from a set-piece. We played straight through them. We were far more convincing this year, that last.

5.) 28 Sep 2023 13:48:30
Just saw your name there! Best to put King, in response to your post, I’m probably with the minority in saying whilst it was an improvement from Sunday, I would still say we lack urgency in general play, certainly passed it better, we don’t play a fast urgent brand of football.
Think Saturday will be a difficult game, Aberdeen have improved.

6.) 28 Sep 2023 15:25:35
I'll happily stick to my opinion, DK19.
No anonymity required - BEALE OUT.

03 Sep 2023 15:37:32
Time and time again we can't do the basics, pass, track and mark.

Whole defence needs replacing and we have a lack of creativity going forward.

It's going to be a long season. league done by the 4th of September. Rotten.

Surely not Butland Abu, he's been terrific for us since he came in.

Shocker from Lundstrum for Dundees goal. He can leave, the £1.5m per year can be spent wiser and better elsewhere.

Happy to wish him all the best. Can get better and more consistent players for 30k per week. Will forever be remembered for his goal against Leizpig but I would not offer a new contract. Overpaid for what he has given the last 3-4 years.

Don’t expect any signings for cash in January. PC and JB have already told us to not expect movement and we need to become break even. Our budget was blown in the summer on the duds such as Desses, Lammers, Sterling, Dowell etc.

It will be a couple of loans maybe even bringing back Lowry and Hagi so they can be put under the careful eye of PC.

Summer will be yet again another rebuild.

Sir Walter, I think you asking questions of John falls on deaf ears most of the time. It’s not the first time I have noticed he politely ignores you.

What’s the reason for that?

Heard it all now. Unreal how some people can formulate opinions of people without even knowing them.

I think Bankie needs to change the start of his name from a B to a Dubya.
