I bet the spfl are glad to see hibs drop out of the cup today; would of been interesting to see how they would of justified moving a planned playoff game to suit hibs, spirting integrity and all that jazz would of surely stopped any game movement anyway?

Good solid victory today! Good to see 4 goals, could of and should of been more! I can see it coming down to goal difference for 2nd place.

Why are no Scottish media outlets using BBCs example of Debrecen £15,000 fine for fielding an ineglible player in the dying minutes of a match that was clearly already won. Uefa ruled that Debrecen, who won 4-1 on aggregate, had "no interest in fielding this player for the three last minutes of additional time, when the score was so clearly in its favour" - surely an identical solution will arise from a 6-1 victory - precedence has been set by Uefa already.

your right m8, precedent been set, no worries bout replay, it was 2 minutes for gods sake, even septic fans will agree its nonsense, well sum of them, a fine will follow no doubt

2.) Maybe because that example is wrong mate. Debrecen fielded a player with a registration problem this player was clearly suspended.

3.) I see the unwashed think the will be re instated to big cup I think its all wrong but the are saying rules are rules

4.) Precedent also set (funny enough it involved Celtic) against Swiss team. However, then it was not about one player and they played more than two minutes. I think if boot was on other foot we would all be looking for Legia to be punished. That said, I don't think anyone involved with Celtic could complain if the result was a slap on the wrist and a fine. The player had absolutely no bearing on the result and might even have assisted in killing time by coming on and saving them from losing another goal. They were dross, not just over, in both games. Celtic drop into Eurpoa qualifying and then, based on their recent performances, oot on their erchies.

5.) I wouldn't count my chickens where that club are corncerned. there seem to be too many decisions over the years that seem to go their way or are sweeped under the carpet. there are dark forces working within and around that club, mark my words!!

6.) 08 Aug 2014 10:02:45
I'm struggling to see why he was suspended. He was sent off last year and suspended for 3 matches. Missed both at pat's games and first celtic game!

Fauldsrfc

7.) He was suspended because Legia did not register him for the St Pat's matches so they didn't count towards his suspension. Stupidity on their part; someone should get their jotters

8.) Legia Warsaw are to appeal. If there is any justic they will be reinstated citing the Debrecen precedent.

9.) Op, the difference is between suspended and in ineligible. The club failed to register the player (fit, injured, suspended or whatever) for the requisite 3 games so he never served his suspension. The rule states the consequences. With so much money at stake what other option did EUFA have? Fair-NO, Correct-YES. It is what it is.

10.) @5, just to clarify, which team are you talking about, Celtic or Rangers?

Could be the case of reducing the wage bill (ever so slightly) as no one would touch the oldies on their wages!

Not everyone is happy to pay to watch this dross - overpaid players struggle against supposedly weaker opposition week in week out whilst the club are hemorrhaging money which the board cant/wont explain; seems simple to me why people don't want to turn up anymore
