If we are not going to win the league, does it really matter if finish 2nd or 3rd. Not saying wouldn't either wat but why not give Murty job for as long required this season and get the right manager in at the summer, for me Michael O'neil who might be available sooner if they don't qualify. He lives in Scotlnd, knows the game here and makes a team better than the sum of its individuals!

For box office and a bit of glamour, I would like to see Ranieri. Big Sam would do a job, and although not a fan Pardew might want to rebuild his reputation a bit like Rodgers.

No matter take time and get it right.

Ranieri lol and big Sam lol that kind of stuff is what killed Rangers.

2.) 27 Oct 2017 07:34:52
If Rangers could get O'Neil the problem is solved. Fantastic manager

By my reckoning the only player who played for celtic who is new under Rodgers is Sinclair but just about every player has improved, Boyata, mcgregor Forrest etc. with limited funds (apparently) maybe investing in a top coach would be better than buying a few journeymen pros who won't overly improve the team.

Exactly what i posted earlier mate

2.) 30 Apr 2017 19:29:10
The players that Celtic had were significantly better than the ragamuffin bunch of rejects that Warburton brought in. Decent money was spent on players at Parkhead whereas we went for the cheapest option available.

Even the best coach in the business couldn't turn guys like Halliday into football players!

3.) 30 Apr 2017 20:50:16
What about Dembele?

4.) 30 Apr 2017 20:52:11
Gamboa, eboue, de vries, dembele

5.) 30 Apr 2017 22:48:24
Tbh Brendas recruitment hasn't been great when you think abt it, Sinclair and Dembele aside the rest can't even get a sniff of a game. its actually a lot of players that were already there that have upped there game which has helped them

6.) 30 Apr 2017 22:53:20
Does anyone else think our problems lie with how disjointed we look i. e,2 leftys at CB, no sitting midfielder, strikers playing as wingers etc then you look at Selik and every guys playing ther natural posistions, natural wingers, striker, midfielder to break up play and a right and left sided player at each side of him, full backs that can get forward and defend

Bengby fair points it I was referring to the players that played on Saturday

I read. lots of posts about £30 million investment about sacking Warburton about bringing in a high profile manager, de boer etc.

I would urge patience lads. Warburton has not been backed, he is scrambling around getting bargains and loans to build a team. Gradual improvement, sensible investment keeping the club afloat and Rangers will pull away from the rest and close the gap on Celtic. The points gap is a one off a bit like Leicester winning the league and then collapsing, celtic are on an extraordinary run that won't be repeated for a long time. Trust in Warburton, support with investment in the summer, have a right go at qualifying for Europa league and move upwards but within budget and no more dark days of spending what we've not got, ie 30 million.

I completely agree that MW hasn't had the best backing. However, the major issue at the minute is his stubbornness to change a system and style of play that clearly isn't working. What if he is given money to spend and he blows it? We're back to square one. The bottom line is we need a manager that will make the players give 100% every game and make the team hard to beat.

2.) 07 Feb 2017 23:55:41
Rangers can only improve with investment. They can only close the gap with investment. They can only qualify for Europa with investment. Either that or take time to bring through the youth players but are there many who will make it? Who knows. The current players by and large are not good enough to close any gap or qualify for Europa. So there needs to be some investment. Will it come? Very much doubt it.

We will never go forward to where we want to be with Warburton in charge. He isn't good enough. He has had a far bigger budget than Hearts or Aberdeen yet we are no better than either, he spent £1.8m on a non scoring striker and £500k on a winger he hardly plays. He has failed to recognise the need for good centre halves and we don't have an out and out striker. He is an awful manager and giving him more time will only mean more bad results more bad performances Rangers will never win the league under him

4.) 08 Feb 2017 10:41:49
I must admit it is baffling as to why he's never properly sorted the CB posistion in the 18mnth he's been here when its blatantly obvious to all of us that we couldn't keep weanz out a close

5.) 08 Feb 2017 23:35:07
You were doing fine up until 'trust in Warburton'. His Football Manager experiment with our club has failed.

6.) 08 Feb 2017 16:28:50
AngelGabriel, thanks for your passive aggression and thinly disguised contempt. Stick to your own club mate, you will need it soon enough.

Berahino rumours gathering momentum, would be a brilliant signing for rangers and a heavy profit when the time comes! Decent midfielders, fantastic forward, sort out the defence and the chase is well and truly on.

Good luck gers

AngelGabriel

1.) 09 Jan 2017 17:19:46
Aye, the chase for 2nd. By the way, the Berahino stuff is lies, don't get too carried away.

2.) 10 Jan 2017 12:33:44
Bhampot, Saido berahino is signing for the glasgow rangers! Its happening and you're wee mind doesn't want to believe that rangers are making a statement in getting berahino! Well he's coming! Get used to it!

I think he should offer to resign. The board might refuse and would be perfectly entitled to do so. I am heartened by the signing of Dorians and if ros sister stays fit and jack plays we could do alright but he should offer to resign
