Heard a rumour about Chris coleman being linked with us now lol. Basically going to get linked with every reasonable manager now. Hopefully something happens quickly.

1.) 07 Nov 2022 03:24:00
Well it was all over twitter that there was a board meeting tonight, it would make sense to get rid ASAP but I can't see it happening, he has to go though he looks lost and if he does get sacked, hopefully, get a quick replacement in to work with players over the winter break, even give Kevin Thomson the job til the end of the season, who knows but from what I've been told he won't be sacked.

2.) 07 Nov 2022 03:44:06
Not a chance??.

3.) 07 Nov 2022 06:55:23
Not a chance with what? Everything he said, or one specific bit?

4.) 07 Nov 2022 08:06:16
Chris Coleman is another example of an egotistical, rotten manager.

5.) 07 Nov 2022 08:07:18
It would be good to hear from the board during these times.
Either state. backing or sacking - hiding away with heads in sand does nothing for moral of team moving forward (if we can call last while actually moving forward) .
GVB is too nice a guy to boss our club - never any passion shown on side of park or when interviewed.
We all can come out with bland cliches about game/ team/ results but eventually talking without actually saying anything catches up with him and his backroom staff who also must carry the can.
I am really unsure of all these names quoted as moving forward for a potential next manager but I feel we have failed in past when going for a so called named foreign manager. Nor do we need to have an ex player or someone who knows the club inside out - we need firstly a manager who can motivate a team/ individuals and has tactical nous to be proactive when things are not going well.
Ideally someone who has an eye for a player.
We scoffed at the appointment across the city but the guy had experience and can see a player - yes he may have failed in Europe like us but his teams fight till the end - put in a shift and get rewards in Prem league (which is our bread and butter) unlike us recently.
Souness came to us and put a backbone in our team literally and metaphorically- he shook things up and am sure would get angry when required.
Let's take time carry out due diligence and not knee jerk into a bigger farce.
I feel a British manager with hunger, passion and desire is required. but who?

6.) 07 Nov 2022 08:44:32
Agree the last thing we need is a knee jerk reaction and panic signing.
The new manager ideally needs to be able to ‘develop’ and work with existing players and understand pressure (the pressure of knowing 2nd is failure! ) . Appreciate there will be comments regarding Gerard inexperience, which I accept, but clearly cam from a demanding winning culture at Liverpool.

Whilst I am indifferent to the nationality of a new manager I am concerned about names like Scott Parker or Sean Dyche, as I am not sure they’d flourish under the considerable old firm cauldron.

As wobbly as the Rafa rumors go, I believe at least he has the profile of a manager who understands the need to win whilst having his every move scrutinized.

7.) 07 Nov 2022 09:13:31
Macn - You are correct in that Rafa has good experience and skills but will he be able to operate within our budget (if any) as he has always had money to spend at his last few clubs? I would also be concerned that it would only be a steppingstone back to EPL.
Must admit it would be a coup to get someone of his stature in the game.
Gerrard fitted our bill at the time as he had something to prove and probably didn't cost the earth.
Any MK11 Gerrards - please step forward!

8.) 07 Nov 2022 09:17:27
Macnaughten gio played with us he knows 2nd here is failure already.

9.) 07 Nov 2022 09:18:05
Want gio gone, but regardless of keeping or getting rid . the main issue is the board. Having won 55 undefeated and watching Celtic crumble, they took the foot off the gas big-time and have done nowt since. Its went full circle unfortunately . we look absolutely miles behind atm. Its a an absolute disgrace they've handed Celtic the momentum again and we could well be playing catch-up again for quite some time.

10.) 07 Nov 2022 09:53:04
OrangeTinted not a chance Chris Coleman will be Rangers manager (if any links appear they’re nonsense) .

11.) 07 Nov 2022 10:34:22
Macn - it would be good if we could attract managers with the profile of Benitez but his wages would be massive and it’s all hypothetical at the moment.

12.) 07 Nov 2022 10:40:35
Stormtrooper.
Appreciate Gio knew the script, but in that most seem to think his demise is a fair accompli, my point was that the new incumbent needs to be ready to roll (regardless of who it is) . There’s likely to be very little to spend, a plethora of players drifting out of contract (some of whom may well sign pre-contracts in Jan), and a fan base that won’t care and yet still expect the new man to challenge Celtic.
Realism and old firm support don’t always go hand in hand… I feel for Gio, as I feel he’s been dealt a bad hand, though he has admittedly been unable to lift the players this season.

13.) 07 Nov 2022 11:24:56
That demanding winning culture didn't get us many trophies.

14.) 07 Nov 2022 14:37:53
Mcalpine if your talking gio it got us more in one year than Gerrard got in three ?.

Am I missing something? The reason big colak has not been playing is because he has been injured? Where has all this nonsense came from being beale is not interested in him???.

GN1872

1.) 06 Jan 2023 12:04:54
Correct he has been injured and we will see who Beale thinks is our no1 striker very soon. Some say they don’t think he will work with Beale system me for one doesn’t think he will suit it. But you never know until it’s tried.

2.) 06 Jan 2023 12:47:18
Get the ball in the box and Colak will 9 times out of 10 put it away. I've got every faith in the man.
.

3.) 06 Jan 2023 12:53:26
I would like to think Colak starts at weekend, he must be pretty close now.

4.) 06 Jan 2023 13:23:17
Was thinking this myself sure Dykes isn't a link up kinda player and was Beales no.9 at QPR so people just make silly assumptions.

5.) 06 Jan 2023 13:34:23
Who gets the goals if he goes? The midfielders and wingers don't score enough and Morelos isn't a very good goalscorer either. Would be a big mistake selling a guy that gets goals like Colak. Sell Morelos and Roofe and keep Colak and buy Dykes. It's time to move on from Morelos as he's not very good anymore.

6.) 06 Jan 2023 13:42:32
Correct GN1872.
Beale has already stated on a couple of occasions no need to rush him back.

7.) 06 Jan 2023 14:20:17
Well what's point rushing players back don't want them re injured.

8.) 06 Jan 2023 14:57:30
TT Dykes does link play up so don’t know what player you have been watching.

9.) 06 Jan 2023 14:59:10
Sweep again we got told off ranger he is playing thru injury and he has 5 goals/ assists in 5 games but that ain’t enough for you ? honestly you are unbelievable and the most negative guy ever in here about the club you are meant to support.

10.) 06 Jan 2023 15:19:59
Whats negative about wanting to keep Colak and getting rid of Morelos Stormtrooper? Your love in with Morelos is clear but not all of us want him at ibrox.

11.) 06 Jan 2023 15:39:16
Agree with Sweep, get rid of Morelos.

12.) 06 Jan 2023 15:51:03
Wrong again Sweep. ?‍♂️
Rangers have scored 12 goals in Beale’s 5 league games
Rangers scored 34 goals in Gio’s 15 league goals.
Nearly exactly the same average.

13.) 06 Jan 2023 16:13:01
Should we be offering Morelos a new Contract at 40-odd grand a week. Who is going to buy him off us. If he continues in the form that he's in, do we really want him. Colak is an entirely different type of player and a different professional. Personally, I'm for keeping Colak and letting go of Morelos, but this is an opinions page and plenty will disagree with me. I would have disagreed nearer the start of the season. But, if you play for Rangers then you must take it seriously. He was always a fragile character, but I think this season he has let himself go. A fabulous player when fit and motivated to play, but that is becoming far too infrequent now.

14.) 06 Jan 2023 16:18:01
One question for you sweep (are you Charlie nicholas ? )

15.) 06 Jan 2023 16:54:36
That jokes been cracked already, using the same jokes just becomes boring. Think I'll start calling you Christmas cracker Laudrup. Same jokes and all.

16.) 06 Jan 2023 17:04:18
Spud what you even talking about? I've not even mentioned Gio or Beales record. If it wasn't for Colaks goals we would be about 18 to 20 points behind. That's an absolute FACT. The wingers and midfielders don't score enough goals either.

17.) 06 Jan 2023 17:21:53
Wrong again Sweep?‍♂️
You said - “who gets the goals if Colak leaves”.
I’ve simply pointed out for you we are still scoring the same amount of goals without Colak and we’ve only dropped 1 point under Beale. ?‍♂️
The games we’ve played with Colak we’ve dropped 10 points.
At least check your facts before spouting a nonsense opinion. ?
Keep digging.
You’ll be able to justify your vilification of Morelos eventually. ?.

18.) 06 Jan 2023 19:16:13
All I read keep Morelos get rid Colak

Keep Colak get rid Morelos

Why not keep both.

24 Dec 2022 13:10:42
Merry Christmas lads. ?.

GN1872

1.) 24 Dec 2022 14:42:52
All the best to you and yours mate.

04 Sep 2022 08:57:13
Celtic were far superior yesterday, but I can honestly say that was the worst performance from a rangers keeper I've ever seen, I backed big McLaughlin but I don't think he can come back from this with the way we play, he will be a nervous wreck anytime we try and play from the back. I love shagger, but I think he is probably past it aswell, I would go with young mcrorie, I thought he had a great game at ibrox against Celtic when I was there.

GN1872

1.) 04 Sep 2022 09:16:10
Cammy Bell?

2.) 04 Sep 2022 09:27:49
YES what has this new expert CERI BOWLEY being saying to these snowflakes!

3.) 04 Sep 2022 09:31:09
McCrorie? So, what in hell's name have you seen in the boy that makes you think he could handle the pressure? He done well against them when he played last season, but he was up against a team, who at the time, was struggling to get started. And don't forget the bollocking he got from his own players for kicking the ball out when one of their players went down right at the end. He was that nervous he booted the ball out diagonally and allowed them one more attack. I can't remember who bollocked him, but they did. Get a grip. We should have spent money on a top class keeper who comes in straight away and instantly performs and gives our defence the belief and confidence of having quality behind them.

4.) 04 Sep 2022 09:44:31
Older passed it etc what ever people say about allan mcgregor he is and still should be our number 1 mclauchlin mcrorie could not lace the man. s boots.

5.) 04 Sep 2022 10:05:00
Zander Clark free agent better than our no1 goalie by far sign him up good alround goalkeeper.

6.) 04 Sep 2022 10:16:33
Another singling out one player what about the rest? Kent fell asleep for two goals lundstrum one the entire defense for all of them basically every player on the park not just the keeper.

7.) 04 Sep 2022 10:35:56
Clark has signed for Hearts.

8.) 04 Sep 2022 10:49:30
Zander Clark signed for hearts.

9.) 04 Sep 2022 10:51:50
Benjibob, I hope that you are at the windup! The guy can't find a club and he is a free. We have enough second rate keepers on our books with McLaughlin and we don't need another one!
Neither McLaughlin or McGregor should have been given a new contract and we should have gone out and acquired a top quality keeper. The last line of defence is one of the most important positions in the team. It is a disgrace that we didn't have one identified and a deadline before the season started.

10.) 04 Sep 2022 11:08:57
Seems to me storm you single out kent at every opportunity?

11.) 04 Sep 2022 18:41:44
I mentioned us signing zander Clark in July over 95% on here slaughter it, including couple who now want to sign him.

01 Sep 2022 15:41:05
So kamara did train with the team today, just more made up stuff about our players. I also think half the people on this page are Celtic supporters just at the wind up. 10 years ago we were on our knees, we have stopped terry Munro, we have got to a European final and have now qualified to the champions league off our own back. I think the club are doing great.

GN1872

1.) 01 Sep 2022 16:11:03
Football Scotland reported Kamara didn't train, funnily enough post now unobtainable. And Terry Munro? got to love autocorrect.

2.) 01 Sep 2022 16:13:14
According to sky sports rangers have concluded their transfers for summer no use moaning were done until January.

3.) 01 Sep 2022 16:14:16
Says on the papers he didn't and wasn't any photos of him at training today.

4.) 01 Sep 2022 16:15:34
Too sensible a post gn1872. It will never catch on.

5.) 01 Sep 2022 16:24:23
Best post I have read in a while! People on here expect miracles and seem to care far more about what our rivals are doing.

6.) 01 Sep 2022 16:30:34
Can think of another team that qualified off our back?.

7.) 01 Sep 2022 16:40:05
I’ve said that for a while GN, there’s a few who I’d put my mortgage on not being a Rangers fan / supporter.

8.) 01 Sep 2022 16:55:44
Celtic got to cl from winning the league not from our back.

9.) 01 Sep 2022 17:14:02
1872 …. Brilliant post 100% agree
A lot of smokescreens … then bang
When there’s a minor slip up … manager should go … board should be ashamed … this player is crap that player crap
Cheers 1872.

10.) 01 Sep 2022 19:24:46
Bassey, Rangers didn't qualify for the CL group stage after winning the League, can you explain why that was.

11 Aug 2022 22:34:08
Had to re register as I forgot my password, just posting to say it was an absolutely excellent result for us on Tuesday and I feel we have a genuine top class player on our hands in big tillman ( apollo creed?) also seeing PSV are getting a free weekend from league duty to prepare for the game, how great would it be if we had a governing body that actually helped out our clubs in Europe.

GN1872

1.) 11 Aug 2022 23:05:40
We need the game time GN1872.

2.) 11 Aug 2022 23:08:39
Rangers need games they won't ask for time off.

3.) 11 Aug 2022 23:29:06
I think with the LARGE squad we have, we should play as many games as possible to also bleed our new players and for them to get into Gio mind set mate.

4.) 12 Aug 2022 00:57:26
Rangers need games can not see them asking for their game to be cancelled.

We definitely need dig and energy in midfield, maybe young sands can be that player for us, but I like devlin, he kicks every other teams players not just ours bassey lol.
