I’m more excited about Lammers than any player for quite some years. He’s got brilliant ability and I’ve got a feeling he’s going to be great signing. He’s got the no look pass and quick feet reminiscent of Mols. If he’s half as good as him the move will be a great success. I think he’ll be a second striker/ attacking midfielder, perhaps in the Don Hutchison mould, but with tanner ba’ skills.

I think he just told us all that storm.
Although Beale is a master of tactics and we could see a very fluid front 3 next season so this could work to our advantage. He’s a very technical player. In the mould of a bergkamp type. I don’t see him as first choice “no9” type player though. Maybe a de boer type position.

Lammers is nothing like Bergkamp who was a consistent scorer through out his peak. there is no comparison other than they are both dutch.
2 completely different types of attackers and players.

I must have been watching a different game. I thought Barisic, Souttar, Raskin, Jack, and Cantwell all had decent games.
Dessers is a striker - he scored. Wasn't a vintage performance, but he chased and harried all night.
All the talk this week was how this could be a banana skin tie. We're halfway through it and winning. don't understand the negativity.

With lammers in the door, who are we hoping to see play beside him or around him? Maja/ dressers maybe both? A fully fit roofe but will we get to see that option? big question mark there obviously. Hagi Wright but if we're spending money on dressers then he might be out of the equation giving his price tag, that would see the guts of around 15 mill being spent on 3 attacking players, don't see that happening tbh. Is it worth keeping colak as back up, I get that MB doesn't fancy him but we're going to need a plan b, c and so on against some teams and will be good to be able to rotate to keep the boys fresh.

Ref roofe, I remember seeing Owen Hargreaves’s posting little videos to prove to everyone he was fit and ready to go…. never played again. Roofes been the best striker at the club comfortably he just can’t stay fit enough to have won and kept his place. We can’t rely on him but if he comes good then jackpot because the ability is undeniable.

Spot on Paul and John, it's only the maximum amount if you win all of your group games. I think financially, we earned just as much from our great run in the Europa League in 2021, I could be wrong though.

I can see both sides of the arguments.
We as a club should always be striving to test ourselves against the best.
And after last years shambles in the CL under Gio we have a lot of wrongs to right.
On the other hand, as it stands we have a chance to make the Club World Cup which would make the club a lot of money.
But we need another strong co-efficient point run ( we only made 5 points last season, whereas we averaged 15 points for the previous 3 seasons ) .
And even aEuropa League run isn’t guaranteed.
Being greedy I would like CL, then 3rd place before having a d3cent Europa League run.

Realistically champions league is beyond scottish teams now. Hopefully can get in group stage for the money and get 3rd. Europa league is much more our level and in that or even conference cup we have a good chance of going far. Didn't see too many complaints from west ham fans and think others will start taking it more seriously.

Few teams reportedly willing to pay around 8 mill for him, if we get him at around 5 and he has a good season then not only would he have hopefully helped us win the league and go on a run in Europe but we would definitely get 10 mill for him, maybe even 12 to 15, a tidy profit.
