I had posted on earlier in month under another username MarkRFC72. I have been privy to some information that a lot of supporters won't be aware of, however a lot is common knowledge amongst the football and business world. A lot of it is concerning and really does make me question the long term future of the club.

We had backed Beale big time, with the expectation and front loaded budget for the 2024/ 25 season with belief that we would get Champions League. Ludicrous as it sounds. On the realisation that this was under serious doubt 7 games in, the board made the decision to sack Beale and hire Clement with the belief he would save the season and he would be better placed to secure champions league football. This was the reason for summer transfer budget being brought forward to bring in Diomande and Silva. Silva actually cost us upwards of £2m all in albeit only a 6 month loan.

With no champions league guaranteed. The budget for the summer 2024/ 25 was severely limited and it would be a case of 1 out, 1 in along with a need to reduce the wage bill by 30%. This was the motivation to allowing Goldson, Cantwell, Lammers and co to leave. I understand the decision to offer Philippe Clement a new contract was John Bennett's decision. This did not include any clauses in terms of termination, however it includes a wage reduction should certain targets not be met over the season.

At present, even with the substantial wage reduction, the club is still projected to post a significant loss for year ending 2025. This loss will be on par with year ending 2024 loss. Douglas Park has indicated he is not willing to offer any fresh investment and believes the club needs to be self sufficient.

Patrick Stewart has been brought in and is overseeing the external review, which is being carried out by a firm which specialises in reviewing business operations at clubs.

All in all, should season ticket numbers not keep up, fail to progress to Europe group stages or we are unable to make a big sale, there is a very real possibility of insolvency.

I have also overheard a rumour with hospitality that the credit facility provided by Close Brothers has been withdrawn.

Close brothers are in a world of ?, 70% share drop, car finance compensation payout probs forcing sale of assets to meet claims, sticky wicket time, they have there own problems to worry about, probably not the only ones to lose our overdraft facility as there finances take a big hit.

You've posted under this nickname before.

I am telling you right now, as a qualified accountant, there is absolutely, 99% NO CHANCE of insolvency.

Good baiting attempt though.

Surely if that's true dessers would have been sold to bring in money and why we would have agreed to spend 4 million on Cortes and spend 3 million on bajrami seems like rubbish to me.

Thanks for that rambling but what exactly is your concerning info which if that's it we all know that already . confused.

A good run in Europe would help the bank balance. It would also put our players in the shop window. We need another Bassey type sale.

???.

So if we are that close to going bust why according to you did the club try to buy a player only for the deal to fall through last minute. Are both true?

Here's the thing; in normal circumstances any previous Rangers manager would be fired after that result bearing in mind how far behind Celtic we are. Why has he not been removed? clearly we are in a financial mess and cannot afford to sack him even though it's not working. Rangers have a very similar fan base to Celtic therefore revenue is much the same, but look at Celtic, miles ahead in every respect. The management of Rangers has been shocking, leading to bankruptcy, demotion, humiliation, and now this!

Close Brothers themselves are in financial trouble so I wouldn't read too much into that one.

Doesn't surprise me at all.

I smell something.

15.) 10 Feb 2025
10 Feb 2025 21:49:28
Rambling; that's a very worrying post if all is correct all this boycotting of merchandise and season tickets by fans would only serve to send us into liquidation they need to be very careful what they want to achieve, we lost £17 million last season and the shortfall is made up by directors through soft loans ETC that can't go on, it's certainly worrying times for the club.

16.) 10 Feb 2025
10 Feb 2025 22:11:13
So Rambling why would a club so close to insolvency try to agree a loan to buy option for a £3.5 million plus left winger Couhaib Driouech, which was your last rumour just a week ago. not sure both could be true given the board's understanding the situation as you describe it.

Bumbling Ger more like.

18.) 11 Feb 2025
11 Feb 2025 07:34:50
Rambling Ger is right that we need to change the operating model as the shareholders will not back us anymore however the club know that and are restructuring. It might mean that if we get money this year for Hamza that it goes back into paying the bills but that's the way it might have to be.

Insolvency? You're an absolute elite level moon howler!

20.) 11 Feb 2025
11 Feb 2025 08:46:23
Also rambling says park won't put any more money in because he wants us to be self sufficient but then says insolvency could happen therefore park will lose the money or most of it he's already put in. Sorry mate your obviously at it.

11 Feb 2025 09:35:56
What rubbish, if that was the case players would have been sold when bids were made.

22.) 11 Feb 2025
11 Feb 2025 10:25:07
In fairness I don't believe this but the last time i was told this in late 2010 that we may well go down the swanny and also didn't believe it then people refused to accept it and denied it like a lot on here if it were to happen and a big if there would be no return. The loss year on year is worrying and the fact UEFA/ fifa are keeping an eye on our accounts suggests there might well be something in this.

Sam the losses are worrying but the reduction in wage bill alone will eat up a large part of the losses. We still need to develop and sell players to reach a stage where part of those funds will go towards buying players but that will take a little bit longer.
also UEFAS have PSR so we need to have our operating costs at 70% of turnover next season.
