I was told tonight by a fellow fan who knows scott arfield that our medical team are seemingly concerned over ryan jack's recurring injury 👎The word i'm hearing is our medical team think this injury will continue to rear its ugly head for the remainder of jacko's career 😞 It will need to be controlled and from time to time jack would need to sit out spells within a season with this/ whatever injury he has 👎 There's concerns he might not be able to play a full season for the remainder of his career, with this injury problem he has 🤔If this is indeed the case and i hope to god it's not, its terrible news for jacko! He's a midfielder i rate highly and would always have a place in our midfield!
Its worringly sad news if this indeed is the case! Feel so sorry for jacko 🙏Maybe this is why it looks like we're stepping up our interest in john lundstrum in january 🤔
Also being linked strongly with lewis ferguson again, makes you wonder guys 🤔.

Coops, he was overplayed by Clarke in the recent Scotland international matches.

Yeah that if true would be sad news indeed SGL I rate Jack and think he is a player that potential to improve even more under Gerrard. His injury record is certainly a concern and think we need to consider another alternative. I would have hoped Zungu might have been a potential alternative but so far yet to be convinced too early to make a final conclusion on Zungu but at present looks a long way off what we get from Jack.

Not saying it’s not true Coop, but just don’t like talking about a rumour of a guys career maybe stalling or even possibly finishing at Rangers?

This type of injury can be irreparable and will probably damage his long term career unfortunately, I played with a couple of guys who had long term back and knee injuries which stopped them for months at a time, there’s a lot more like him out there believe me, and I was with frank mcdougall at park head after Aberdeen had ripped up his contract and he had retired, if the Celtic doctor had allowed it then Frank was to sign for them, the doctor said no, the damage to his back was not fixable nor workable, so yes SGL, it could well be career threatening.

With all due respect you don't need to be a doctor to know this is a career long problem and it'll only get worse.

It's hardly insider gossip!

I'd take either tbf. Hope u enjoyed your day coops big pal x.

SGL it’s no secret that Ryan has issues with his knees and SG himself has said in the past they need to be careful of how they play him. I’m sure Ryan Jack will be back in the team soon doing what he does best and put that bit of dig back in our side that’s been missing from the midfield past few weeks 👍.

Has he EVER played a full season, this isn't news or gossip!

03 Jan 2021 07:34:12
It is if true sad news BAR72!Of course we're all aware of jacko's knee issues and how ongoing they've been, but the news i was told wasn't that, as like i said we all know that 🤔The news i was told was our medical team have big concerns over the problem he has 😞.

There are many great players who never saw their careers through due to injury. If it is true for Jack then I hope he manages it, so he doesn't cripple himself and miss out on things in later life.

03 Jan 2021 08:43:10
Coops, this stacks up given Steven's recent press conference when he said it was a concern. This is bad news and I can only hope for a better outcome than the experts are inferring. Ryan would be hard to replace. We certainly missed his dig yesterday.

Jack has had his injury since Aberdeen days nor a secret has misssed over 50 games with it.

13.) 03 Jan 2021
03 Jan 2021 11:33:49
I’m stunned some think it’s news re Jack. The lad has missed multiple games since early Aberdeen days due to knee, calf injury. SG says that’s why he is managed.
It’s also why no interest from English clubs for a player who carries significant injury issues.
As said he has missed over 50 games for us
Bit red herring re over played by Scotland. He would be better giving up international football to help his career.

03 Jan 2021 12:22:51
Gerrard came out last season and confirmed that Ryan Jack has a problem that needs to be managed. Tell Scott Arfield to keep up.

John25,i'm not saying its news regarding jacko's injury and if you read one of my above posts, i did state we all know of his injury 🤔
I was told that our medical team have now got big concerns over his injury which might now be getting worse for all we know 🤔.

16.) 03 Jan 2021
03 Jan 2021 13:22:59
John25 not red herring that overplayed by scotland. During last international break played 12/ 11 Serbia, 15/ 11 Slovakia and 18/ 11 Israel. We all know Jack been carrying an injury for years and his condition needs to be carefully managed. No coincidence that has only managed 60 minutes for us since last international break.

03 Jan 2021 13:23:43
I wish some folk would digest what i said in my post 🙏You included Mcv 🤔Every bear and their granny knows of jacko's injury, its the hopefully not, but possible worsening of it or maybe something new causing concern for our medical team 🤔.

18.) 03 Jan 2021
03 Jan 2021 14:48:32
SGL they always have had medical concerns, why u think we were only club into sign him.

19.) 03 Jan 2021
03 Jan 2021 14:50:29
He has had these problems for a good while, they aren’t going away and have been managed by our medical and coaching staff. The issue hasn’t gotten worse it’s just the recovery time that is a concern and that won’t improve through age or with further wear and tear. The euros are going to affect a lot of players post season recovery and def not what Jack’s body needs!

20.) 03 Jan 2021
03 Jan 2021 14:53:33
Bankie, hence I say he should give up international footy
Also u need to remember he did not play against Slovakia,
Therefore was managed re Scotland.

21.) 03 Jan 2021
03 Jan 2021 16:29:12
John a player can only sign for one club, he chose us his boyhood club.

22.) 03 Jan 2021
03 Jan 2021 16:53:38
John25,if you cast your mind back there was an american football club interested in signing jack, but i don't know how far the talks got 🤔.

23.) 03 Jan 2021
03 Jan 2021 17:51:03
John25, apparently Jack is very keen to play in Euros with Scotland in the summer.

24.) 03 Jan 2021
03 Jan 2021 18:00:21
Yes I know that bankie. That’s what most players want.

25.) 03 Jan 2021
03 Jan 2021 21:55:13
It’s simple we pay his wages so if he wants to go and play in euros he should be told that if he cannot play due to playing for Scotland then his time at rangers is up he should retire from international duty like allan mcgregor in my mind if he has a on going condition.

26.) 04 Jan 2021
04 Jan 2021 00:03:38
You’ll probably find he will retire after the euros.

27.) 04 Jan 2021
04 Jan 2021 20:33:10
Ingerr I hope not, I hope he plays on for a few years yet.

28.) 04 Jan 2021
04 Jan 2021 21:32:22
Has SG not already made this public. I'm sure jack got injured with scotland possibly after the last old firm last year maybe. Anyway SG came out and said Jack has a permanent knee injury that he manages it by using a specific training regime designed by our medical team. Sure he also said there would be flare ups if knocks happen or overuse.

29.) 04 Jan 2021
04 Jan 2021 21:37:34
Was 2019 and this was 1 quote
Ryan's got a knee issue that he manages and he has done for a long time, " he added. Also stated in the article that he has had a couple of procedures. I seriously doubt he would suddenly decide to retire as he has looked like he is performing at his peak. Give him time and wrap him up between matches.

30.) 05 Jan 2021
05 Jan 2021 15:23:21
Bellshill I think ingerr means stop playing for Scotland.

31.) 05 Jan 2021
05 Jan 2021 19:56:02
Yes John mate I meant he will probably retire from Scotland if he’s not fit enough to fulfil his club obligations belshill lad. Let’s hope he can manage his problems and do both but it’s not looking great is it? Every time he goes away with Scotland he comes back injured or gets injured very quickly after returning.
