One player we were in for ex-Blackburn defender Ashley Phillips has signed for Spurs who triggered the £2m release clause while we farted about
Bosko Sutalo from Dinamo Zagreb, Josh Doig is in our thoughts from Verona and Lewis Hall from Chelsea possibly on loan for his ability to play in 3 or 4 positions all very nuch on the radar but will depend on movement towards the end of the window with Kamara, Davies, Matondo and to a lesser extent Sakala leaving.

Not sure about much of that. Lewis Hall is just about to head to Crystal Palace on loan, I’d imagine Verona would want at least £5m for Doig if not more. Hadn’t heard anything about us being in for Ashley Phillips and let’s face it, if Tottenham were in for him we wouldn’t of stood much of chance of getting him if we were. Not saying you’re wrong on any of this however only one I could see being a possibility is the Croatian lad.

Hall I heard about on Thurs but been busy so if Palace are in for him as well doesn't surprise me as we aren't the most diligent about doing anything about players we want
Doig I heard about this morning and it's one of those we are probably going to chance our arm with on deadline day if he doesn't move before then
Sutalo is one that keeps popping up amongst my sources for about £3m or so he would be likely to move but not the first choice we are after.

Don`t see us paying £2million for an 18 year old although maybe if he was out of contract we could have got him for a development fee. His move to Spurs has been in the offing for weeks.

Think £2m for a guy with so few first team games would be a massive gamble for us, and frankly more than we could afford to risk (not to mention there's no way we could compete with Spurs financially) .

I'd absolutely take selling Ridvan to Turkey for £5m if it meant bringing in Doig for the same amount. While it might be a bit of a premium for Doig, we need to homegrown players - and I thought we should have been in for him when he left hibs. (similarly think we missed the boat on Hickey prior to that and Ferguson too) .

Michael, it’s Bosko Sutalo, not Josip.

I’d love to sign Doig. I think he’s a cracking talent and only just turned 21. Good defensively and bombs forward all day. He’s one reason hope we would sign IF we end up needing a left back at some point. Helps that he is Scottish too.

You guys really need to read names they are brothers yes and both CBs, doubt we could afford £15m and Fiorentina are in for Josip, Bosko is worth £3-5m and a big solid unit reminded me a bit of a no nonsense old fashioned CB in the mould of Butcher and Gough and we have been missing that for a good few years.

Don’t think he’s that happy with defender mate if he’s brought in balogun on such a cheap deal. Unlikely to play much if all players available.
Also left Davies out the euro squad so I think that says it all. He will move in and someone will replace him.

I haven't posted all week til now as not heard from my sources and even said as much last weekend so take what you want but Lowry went out on loan which I said would happen and has been posted above that we are still in for Palma which I said as well so as usual those without sources or info try and rubbish those who do. sounds like a bit of blue envy there fellas! And also no team has just one player they are looking at which is why I only post a selection of what I hear.

Sutalo has 4 years left on his deal. Also played for Zagreb in Champions League qualifiers. Don't know if that would be a problem Doig linked with Fulham. Hall linked with Palace.

Not necessarily all depends on if Barasic leaves and/ or Yilmaz goes for north of £8m and a few others I mentioned definitely aren't coming as we dropped interest in Mannswerk due to Cifuentes signing, Hall is heading to Palace it seems and Butalo is outwith our price range.
