Sky reporting that 4 Turkish clubs have been rebuffed by Newcastle following enquiries for Trippier. Strap in for 3 more days of Tav to Turkey rumours!

Stormtrooper, it doesn`t matter what he wants, he is under contract to Newcastle . They may even be prepared to sell him at the right price when they can buy a replacement or use the money elsewhere but, my point is, they aren`t going to weaken their squad and loan him out when there is no benefit to them except saving wages. Knowing the Turks they probably want Newcastle to pay a percentage of his wages too. A bunch of chancers.

Unless the team suddenly burst into life, and Clement suprises us all with some new tactics, i Can't see us doing well in the Europa league this season to be honest, we are up against some very talented teams.
If we were going in with Gerrards or Gio's teams and tactics i'd be more optitmistic.
We have struggled against average teams in the league, had a pretty poor pre season, and just been steam rolled by our main rivals.
Our Europa squad is the weakest it's been since Gerrard was brought in and Gio was kicked out.
would love us to have a solid run in europe and the league this year, but seriously dissapointed with the level we are displaying so far.
Our defence is weak, our midfield is talented but still developing, and our attack is quit simply average at best.
Fingers crossed another winter and summer window can level us up to where we should be.
The club is clearly short of funds, with our failed player trading model now reduced mainly to loan to buys and allowing players to leave for silly money.
we have a long way to go before we can dominate Celtic and hit the european level of previous seasons.
If it all goes pear shaped by the winter window, i highly doubt Clement will still be our manager.
He is not to blame for the current mess, but our board has a bad habit of putting the manager on the chopping block for their shortcomings and the backwards direction the clubs taken over succesive seasons.
The club was nicely setup both for success in the league and extended runs in europe, and that has literally been torn apart in 3 seasons, the fans deserve way better than what have all witnesses over the last few years as our squad has devalued season after season, due to us allowing far to many quality player leave for free, or selling for rediculously low prices, only for other clubs to profit from their aquisitions, these idiotic mistakes have dragged us back 4-5 years from where we were not so long ago.
Potentially there is good young team in the making but Clement does not seem to have the tactical knowledge to make it work, as demonstrated to date.
It took roughly 10 minutes for Celtic to work out how to nullify his tactics, we may not even get that long against the level of teams we are up against in the new Europa League format.

Graeme Bailey claiming a number of clubs are ready make a move for Rangers captain James Tavernier:
-Istanbul Basaksehir are the latest club to show an interest, whilst Fenerbahce and Galatasaray have also had conversations about a deal.
-There is also interest in Qatar and we can reveal that Al-Arabi and Al-Gharafa are both showing an interest.
Qatar window seems to shut on 9 Sept; Turkey on 18 Sept. Would be nice if it didn;t drag on at least - either way.

Ally how would you feel if you had a bad day at work and there were people there shouting abuse at you whether you deserved it or not. It says more about those fans and you that you think it is acceptable. Fife agree it was how they went about it but not sure there is a good way to go about it to be honest. come on here and moan amongst other fans. The players won't read here but they may see it as press tend to report what they see in fans forums. HITC report something then Talksport read that and report it like its news and suddenly we think that several sources have the story rather than one online site.
My question is who will be the next player to be scapegoated as not being good enough. Cerny was great for first few games and then dreadful. PC was the best in the world whilst we were catching them now he is dreadful and doesn't have a clue. only happy when we're winning but there is more to being a fan than that.

The clown giving Tavernier abuse was wrong, but the lack of genuine effort shown by him on such a big occasion permeated through the other players on the day. If I was Rangers captain and showed the same lack of effort and determination I'd expect to be dropped or be stripped of the armband. When the chips are down players, especially younger players, look to the captain for guidance and inspiration. Our young team were steamrolled and he did nothing to try to turn the tide. No one likes abuse but sometimes it's just too easy not to give your best - especially when you're picking up obscene money regardless. Bottom line, he has to be stripped of the armband at the very least or, preferably, moved on.

A bad at work? C'mon its not just a day, its been years! . We don't get paid thousands of pounds a week to and play infront of 50k fans paying our wages to underachieve. Interesting comments, and I don't believe that you can compare with the general work place. I also understand that the Rangers support has been long suffering and this season to date, (including the summer transfer window), has been a shambles.
People have different ways of expressing their frustration. Was the fan right is the way that he abused Tav, no. Was what he was saying correct, yes; and not just in respect of Tav! There was a general lack of commitment.
Is that 100% down to the players or is it in part down to the manager, his tactics and his man management, (or lack of it)?
If I am playing for Rangers, have been part of a successful team and see that the manager is replacing a large number of players and building for the future then I am excited and I am expecting to see an increase in quality, with what I have seen this transfer window, I would be disullusioned, all part of the bigger problem.
The problems lie at the top.

Sam edozie ageing a loan (with an option to buy) to Anderlecht now. Here's hoping that's not a regret for us as I think he'd have been a better option from the bench at the weekend. I think McAusland is a good home based option on the right, but he was very poor playing off the left sadly.
Also hoping we can strengthen midfield before tomorrow's euro deadline, but that's looking less likely given the rumours seem to have stopped.

McCausland in his first season in the first team, had more goals and assists last season than Wright an experienced pro. so to say Wright is better than him is a nonsense. The boys attitude and work rate put those around him to shame on Sunday, he was still trying when a lot of them had chucked it.
His pressing won the ball to put Dessers clean through with a chance to get us back to 2-1 which he sclaffed. He also managed to bring out one of only two decent saves Schmeichel had to make (the other was from Tav) . Maybe other more experienced and expensive forwards should be taking stick on here not one of our own who did more in 45 mins than any of them did over the full 90.

Would be amazed if there's another good enough available now. Maybe a punt on Leonardo Lopes or Michut but not convinced on either.

deeb - there's an ongoing investigation by OSCR (the scottish charity regulator) into the related charity. I'm not casting any aspersions, just signposting that the use of the term 'charity commission' doesn't invalidate that aspect of the rumour. A quick google of OSCR and the charity name would give you as much info as is in the public domain. My understanding is many of these investigations complete without significant findings against Trustees / management.

Interesting Grantmac. Might signal him coming back into the fold, which was hinted at last night by H&G saying he'd renegotiated his wage. Could also mean any rumour of an additional fee being due to Genk was false, or that it was low enough to let us go with it over another signing. Big question is where would he play with Bajrami looking out 10 with Lawrence as backup. I guess Hagi could play as an 8 Infront of Raskin or baron? Playing backup for Dio?

I've seen some rumour that playing one more game will not only lead to a wage increase for him, but Also trigger an additional payment to Genk from his original purchase. I don't know if that's true, but could be another reason that it just isn't going to work out for him her sadly.
