From Companies House it looks like we've issued new shares to a value of c £5m. Anyone know what that reflects? I'd guess an existing director loan being converted to shares, rather than a new investor coming in, but you can't tell much from Companies House filings.
1.) 19 Feb 2025 11:31:24
Says £1 in paper mate.
2.) 19 Feb 2025 11:54:13
Company house hasn't listed value other than 0.01, the papers are assuming 25p from last time. ?.
3.) 19 Feb 2025 12:11:10
Probs another way of keeping the lights on till summer. Not a good sign imo.
4.) 19 Feb 2025 12:34:30
Bar we paid leccy bill in January.
5.) 19 Feb 2025 13:24:42
Fork 1p is nominal value. most shares are set up as either a 1p or £1 which is lowest club/ company will sell for.
Bar of we are that skint would it be a better sign to not invest and we go bust again?
6.) 19 Feb 2025 13:33:30
Lol deadpan John???.
7.) 19 Feb 2025 13:51:16
I'm contacting Elon on X wish me luck let's suggest he could call it IbroX park for a start and that mascot BroXi. he will love it .
8.) 19 Feb 2025 13:55:31
Updated form posted today looks like 20p per share. Which would make c£3.6m raised (? ) . Fairly small beer in the grant scheme of things so still guessing debt to equity swap for a current director.
9.) 19 Feb 2025 13:57:28
Angus why would going bust and starting again be better than putting working capital in through shares? That would be a special type of incompetently stupid. that's a bit like scrapping your car and buying another when its needs a new tyre.
10.) 19 Feb 2025 14:02:40
I am aware Angus??.
11.) 19 Feb 2025 14:04:21
Or Xclement??? sorry couldn't help it?.
12.) 19 Feb 2025 14:05:56
Is it funds to pay off Clement and hire new manager?
13.) 19 Feb 2025 14:39:00
Fifty, listening to patrick stewart on Rangers review not long ago there, philippe clement ain't going anywhere anytime soon my friend ?
There's absolutely no question they're sticking by clement and giving him much more time to rebuild the squad and of course achieve results consistently ? So for all who think clement will be changed at the end of the season think again and although you clearly won't like it, he's here for a good while and i've no doubt at all now, he'll get the full of next season also, minimum ?.
14.) 19 Feb 2025 14:55:58
De Boer I know I was commenting on BAR's almost innate way of seeing the negative in everything about the club. so pointing out to him that it was surely better to have the money coming in than sitting back and letting the club go bust again.
BTW it doesn't seem like it is working capital as it is loans being repaid by share creation. so money we needed for previous years to allow our overspending to happen.
15.) 19 Feb 2025 16:04:54
Sir walter. Only europa league keeping him in a job. Think he may be gona in the summer.
16.) 19 Feb 2025 17:14:23
I saw that as well Paul but possibly that PS was giving a number of reasons why manager not sacked, i. e. poor infrastructure, no knee jerk reaction and performance in europa league. is there any point in them going through all this just to sack him anyway.
17.) 19 Feb 2025 17:27:00
Ah I see Angus, that's what happens when you speed read! Onwards to Bilbao!
18.) 19 Feb 2025 18:41:18
DeBoer it could easily have been me speed typing though. and my original post was probably only clear in my head.
02 Feb 2025 21:58:25
Bumped in to what seemed like the full first team squad at Glasgow airport tonight getting a flight down to London. No idea what they're up to, but Cyriell Dessers was with them so my guess is he isn't going anywhere. Can't imagine he'd be travelling with them tonight if an interment transfer was on the cards.
1.) 02 Feb 2025 22:13:18
Good info bro. Said good few days ago he won't be leaving.
2.) 02 Feb 2025 22:24:25
Night out in London. Couldn't get one at Xmas due to the schedule.
Igamane and Yilmaz not there due to their religion.
3.) 02 Feb 2025 22:33:24
Was igamane there jimbo. ? Go check the other news page mate?
4.) 02 Feb 2025 22:34:30
Few days off? Any Scottish players there?
5.) 02 Feb 2025 22:37:15
Did you spot igamane because another poster has said he has remained in Glasgow due to a bid from Arsenal…?
6.) 02 Feb 2025 22:45:30
Bit of R&R I imagine.
7.) 02 Feb 2025 23:31:38
Someone posted on X that igamane and yilmaz were not there:
8.) 02 Feb 2025 23:37:52
Didn't see Igamane, ridvan, sterling, Barron, Bajrami, or Lovelace. I might have missed one or two, I suppose. Looks like msloyal has covered Igamane above. But think everyone else was there, including Lawrence - so again maybe not likely to go?
9.) 03 Feb 2025 01:46:46
Igamane bajrami ridvan all Muslim no? Sterling and Lovelace are injured.
10.) 03 Feb 2025 07:52:11
Remember Goldson. he travelled with team to Birmingham for a friendly pre-season whilst the club were discussing a fee/ terms with the Cypriot team. when it was agreed he didn't play and flew directly there. so why would Igamane not travel with the team here; less chance of injury as not a game. suspect more likely to be MS Loyal explanation than the Arsenal bid.
11.) 03 Feb 2025 07:54:52
Igamane is not going to arsenal, he's had about 10 good games at rangers. The difference is vast.
31 Jan 2025 16:56:09
Archie Stevens has moved to Dunfermline on loan. Hopefully the lad gets a good amount of game time and progresses.
1.) 31 Jan 2025 17:09:13
Agree yo,
Also McClure, great prospect away to kelty hearts
Both stevens and McClure have went to excellent pros.
2.) 31 Jan 2025 18:18:23
So there were 2 transfers today then ?.
3.) 31 Jan 2025 18:29:25
John, as far as u know, will stevens be here next season!?
4.) 31 Jan 2025 19:00:52
Good moves for these young players. Hopefully our new assistant manager will know some good players. Surprised me Gio never bought in Dutch players.
5.) 31 jan 2025 19:28:10
i honestly don't think gio has the same intense and knowledgeable insight into pro mananagement and coaching mark
i feel he was a great olayer who won't ever be a great manager, i think clent is very intense and has a deep knowledge of players systems and nature of football
i think we are truly fortunate to have him.
6.) 31 Jan 2025 19:45:18
Kaiser in fairness not who I was referring to.
7.) 31 Jan 2025 20:55:33
So no signings inward today?
8.) 31 Jan 2025 20:55:37
Good pals with Mark Kerr, he'll look after McClure.
31 Jan 2025 09:22:25
Rangers Review reporting that Kevin Thomson is set to return to the Rangers academy in a coaching role. Maybe not the rumour we're waiting for, but looks like the club is getting its socks pulled up behind the scenes.
1.) 31 Jan 2025 09:49:15
Archie Stevens also rumoured for loan to Dunfermline.
2.) 31 Jan 2025 09:55:45
I like Thomson. Always has great insight when commentating.
3.) 31 Jan 2025 10:33:29
This is a great move by the club.
4.) 31 Jan 2025 10:44:27
That academy needs defunded, if the best that it brings through is King and Lowry then there's zero point.
5.) 31 Jan 2025 10:50:53
Yo Jimbo, lots and lots of exciting things happening behind the scenes.
6.) 31 Jan 2025 10:59:48
Clearly Koppen doesn't think like you Ranger, let's see the young foreign players he brings into the academy, far better doing away with the b team as league less.
7.) 31 Jan 2025 11:18:39
Outright negativity Ranger100, n pathetic comments on a player like King, who was blooded in the ECL that hampered his development, and a player who struggled in lowry after losing his mother, Don't do or understand empathy from where u come from?.
8.) 31 Jan 2025 12:30:25
I suspect Rangers 100 is the latest masked incarnation of our serial name user. might be wrong but suspect he will be here for a day or so at most and disappear.
9.) 31 Jan 2025 12:32:50
Rangers100 - how would we cover the loss in turnover that we currently generate from the academy?
10.) 31 Jan 2025 12:34:03
Ranger, what about Curtis Nsio Lovelace Rice with be others, King done well the time he was on the park last night, he'll have a decent career, Lowry gets his act together he could still have a good career both just need game time.
11.) 31 Jan 2025 12:48:47
Thomson fits the profile for the statement Koppen made about bringing more Rangers DNA into the youth coaching side and importantly he's an actual experienced coach not just a mouth in the media. Sounds like a good move to me.
12.) 31 Jan 2025 13:20:00
Fork, you know where he comes from - Earl Haig Land.
13.) 31 Jan 2025 13:20:59
Agree my star I liked the look of king last night I think he was shaping up to have a great game.
14.) 31 Jan 2025 13:49:52
The batch of academy players that came through under Kevin Thompson first time around all spoke in glowing terms so can only be a good thing having him back involved.
15.) 31 Jan 2025 13:56:44
Ranger100 it also brought through Patterson and gilmour both earning us great money. I also believe that our academy pays for itself.
30 Jan 2025 15:50:30
Another Turkish source (Zafer Ertas) suggesting we've offered a contract to Ryan Kent.
If we do move Matondo on, I think we need cover on the LW and the manager likes to play a right footer out there, so I'd be willing to bring him back on the right terms. He's an upgrade on what we have on the left at the moment and still a decent age. Imagine he would take a month or so to get up to PC's require fitness levels though.
1.) 30 Jan 2025 16:23:47
Id take Kent back in a heartbeat.
2.) 30 Jan 2025 16:29:39
I still think a 6 month initial contract (That is resonable wages) isn't a bad shout for Kent. I also don't think Clement would deal with any petulance he may have.
Always rated Kent, He drove the team forward almost single handedly at times. Did well for us considering he would usually have 2 or 3 players marking him at a time. Him on the Left and Cerny on the Right widens our attack tremendously. They wouldn't be able to mark him like they used to.
3.) 30 Jan 2025 16:31:38
Why would anyone from Turkey know? He ain't been there in months.
4.) 30 Jan 2025 16:37:39
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ???.
5.) 30 Jan 2025 16:40:01
I suppose he did assist the assist ?.
6.) 30 Jan 2025 16:53:13
Storm he is not in the uk.
7.) 30 Jan 2025 17:00:53
Curtis development over Kent return all day.
8.) 30 Jan 2025 17:22:41
I'd give Kent a 6 month deal with club right to extend by 1 or 2 years.
That way if he performs we can sell him on, i don't want to keep him past this season: if he doesn't then we're not at any loss.
Would only be offering him a small wage. With incentives for starting, assisting and scoring.
9.) 30 Jan 2025 17:39:55
Am with you Blue floyd3, was very very seldom impressed with him in the past, liverpool are still laughing at what we paid for him, he has done nothing since he left ( not in a good way btw! ), and for me would be a disruptive influence . Nòooooooo.
10.) 30 Jan 2025 18:15:05
How long to get Kent fit? Not a good move imo.
11.) 30 Jan 2025 18:37:37
Not been cheeky John but how do you know?
12.) 30 Jan 2025 18:39:47
So who would you have? Bajrami or Kent?
13.) 31 Jan 2025 07:15:19
Neither?Curtis or Lovelace imho.

Issue for me now if that PC is not getting the most of the players we have, and in the case of Rice seems to be actively holding back progress. He's too dogmatic when he comes to his system, which just doesn't work against a low block.
I saw a stat on X that Raskin and Dio are being asked to run c 14km per game, which seems to be more than ANY player in the EPL has run this season (Kulusevski being highest with 13.2km against Manchester United) . Add to that the system drags our no10 up ot the front line when we're in possession and so Bajrami / Lawrence are not being allowed to impact the play at all, and we've got a system that just does not work, and which he is unwilling to change.
Any manager of the club needs to realise winning is more important than their own philosophy, and anyone that is not pragmatic enough to change their ways to help the team win is not good enough to be our manager. I've had sympathy with PC up to now, but his stubbornness / bloody mindedness with this system of play just can;t go on.
1.) 12 Feb 2025 10:56:58
We are very light in the centre of the park with only 4 natural cms and I personally wouldn't class dio as one so so more like 3. Rice, Barron, Raskin definitely need another 2 in there. Rice was rotten on Sunday just because he's a young Scottish guy doesn't mean he shouldn't get criticised he was absolutely rank letting the ball bounce basic passes not even tracking his man well.
2.) 12 Feb 2025 10:59:05
Not buying bajrami, not being able to affect the game is something down to tactics, he's been miles off it for a while now and Tom Lawrence has played well this season until his injury 3 goals and 2 assist in the league and 2 goals in 3 games in Europe which is his best return so far at rangers.
i can't see the stats for distances covered, i don't think they are publicly available but i very much doubt Raskin and diomande are covering 14km each domestically. i agree PC is struggling to get the best out of players domestically but don't think it has anything to do with those reasons.
3.) 12 Feb 2025 11:13:52
Yo Jimbo. Actively holding back Rice's progress? Codswallop. He played him in a strong team to finish that game early. on this occasion he didn't perform well and got rightly hooked. Played him but not hindering his progress.
4.) 12 Feb 2025 11:22:32
I would hate to play in a Clement midfield, we don't play through the middle of the park, CB's are instructed to play long diagonals and we try to get down the sides and round the back of teams instead of patterns of play through them. Our CM's are asked to cover lots of ground to put out fires and it frustrates the life out of me.
We hope to create from a moment of individual play rather than team patterns. Clement is a counter attacking coach and if that's his philosophy then that's how he will play but it's not suited to opponent set up with a low block.
5.) 12 Feb 2025 11:44:52
The massive massive issue is the defending of corners for me. We constantly make the same mistakes over and over. We look like losing a goal every single time. jefte has absolutely zero spacial awareness and has no idea at what he is supposed to be doing when defending its crazy.
6.) 12 Feb 2025 11:50:08
Colonel, Rice is a ball player, if you ask me he is never going to able to hold down the 6 or 8 role that Clement asks of his central midfielders because of how much running it requires, and because how how much emphasis is place on direct play rather than passing the ball through the middle of the park. Good managers find a way to accommodate the good players they have in to the team, and they flex approach accordingly. Asking guys like Rice to play like Raskin is nonsensical. As is asking guys like Bajrami to play as a CF and work off second balls.
He is not using the players we have to the best of their abilities, all so he can keep to a rigid system that demonstrably does not work consistently enough against 10/ 11 teams we play against in domestic football. He's had 3 transfer windows and spent c£20m building a team that cannot breakdown a low block - principally because of his system of play is based around counter attacking football. If we continue with the current system of play we will be lucky to win the odd cup, and will remain miles behind in the league.
7.) 12 Feb 2025 12:22:25
I've seen a lot of threads I've disagreed with over the last few days - but this one is too of the list.
8.) 12 Feb 2025 12:23:54
Tav123, I'm told that Alex Ferguson was bemoaning Lawrence being wasted by getting pushed far too far up the pitch when we were on the ball against Lyon. I'll put more faith in his view of the system than Clement's at this time.
The 14km comes from John Walker on Twitter: x.com/johnwalker_1986/status/1889274019771252971

9.) 12 Feb 2025 17:03:23
Sorry yo Jimbo. I can't agree but hey it's all about opinions. respect bro.
10.) 12 Feb 2025 19:08:45
It's a game of opinions Colonel! Think we all want the same thing, a successful Rangers.
31 Jan 2025 16:55:26
[As Marca] claiming Iranian side Persepolis FC have reached an agreement with Ryan Kent. As well as saying the fact that it is legal to keep crocodiles at home in Iran was a factor that convinced Kent.! ?
Sure that will please a lot of folk on here who never fancied him coming back.

Rangers Review reporting that former Tottenham head of sports science Sam Pooley has joined on. Probably not the signing confirmation you're all waiting for. But ?♂️.
28 Jan 2025 07:53:33
Swiss outlet claiming that Nikola Katic has reportedly received an offer from Rangers. Not sure that would have been my first choice, and an not clear it fits our new model, but, but that's the rumour.
28 Mar 2025 08:28:30
Looks like his contract is up in summer. So makes sense to be checking out his in that boat.
17 Mar 2025 17:39:44
I can't help wondering if he could do this role part time / on a consultancy basis, with most of the day to day work done by Koppen. One aspect of the football group arrangements I've heard talk of (eg city group) is the use of non-club entities in the group to employ some central resources/ roles as a means of efficiently sharing skills across clubs without each having to foot the bill for a full time employee.
27 Feb 2025 20:18:58
I very much like the idea of a midfield 3 of Rice, Miller and Cameron. Bring then together now, Blood them over the corse of the next season or two, and we could be looking at getting a decade out of them.
23 Feb 2025 17:19:06
Id be happier offering Gio or Gerrard the job until the end of the season, than keeping Clement on. Steven Davis might aslo take it back on as caretaker, or Shota Arveladze. If even take Sean Dyche/ Derek McInnes brexitball over the current shambles.
21 Feb 2025 09:17:02
I don't think we'll have a conclusion on that one either way until summer. He's still within his rights to wait and see what offers come in for him in summer. And I've no concerns that he's going to stop putting in 100%. Looks to me like 50/ 50 whether he signs with us again, but time will tell.
16 Feb 2025 20:25:00
I didn't see any of the post match chat, but that kind of talk gives me the fear. Really felt we were outplayed for most of that game. They had now possession, more shots, more shots on target, and missed a 1-on-1. On another day we could easily depend points there (if hearts weren't so profligate) .
16 Feb 2025 13:27:03
I honestly do not understand the stick Dio gets. He's doing a good job in a really tough position to play. Almost every one we against play has 3 midfielders and we've got 2 in there. Diomande rarely gives it away, keeps the ball moving, and isn't afraid to get us up the park. Always willing to take the ball in too. I really think he's ridiculously hard done by our fans.
14 Feb 2025 17:51:15
They definitely went to London after the Ross County game. I bumped into almost all of the first team at the airport that night. Can't believe they were flying easyJet to Stansted!
No idea what they got up to when they were down there though, or when they came back. Don't think it affected the result at the weekend either, I think Clement has to take the blame for that for the tactics.
14 Feb 2025 16:32:44
Gio got us to within literally a kick of ball (be that Kent or Ramsey! ) from winning the Europa League, and that didn't seem to do him much good! Ultimately in our odd little league, success is purely relative. Any manager not winning more than the other side of town will be under pressure, and the bigger the gap in cups/ leagues the more the pressure will be.
Winning the Europa would grant him time, but if he isn't competing for the title next year then I don't think it would be enough on it's own to keep him in a job. What it would do would be guarantee us Champions League football, and that is the only was I can see us getting out of being also rans. We desperately need access tot he ridiculous £££s that comes from the CL (and ideally for them to miss out on it for a few seasons) . Money talks in this game.
14 Feb 2025 12:30:05
He's a good size, and looks quick enough across the ground. Early days, but I'm not sure he's the type that would throw his head in where it hurts (a la Katic), more of a ball playing centre back. Don't think he takes any blame for the poor result and performance at the weekend, not much he could do about that.
