Agent says this much! - then other talks to take place with Eng Championship or Eng Prem clubs I doubt.
Give me a player who can score goals and wants to play for our club and not just one chasing the yankee dollar! No more loans please or this shows no forward planning - settled team required.

30 years old, well past his best form, value decreased by 32 million in 6 years, 3 goals and 1 assist is 11 games, hardly a big signing, some of you must be thinking of the Batshuayi of 5-6 years ago, that was scoring regularly and valued at 40 million during his Dortmund era, if he was that good now how come he ended up at Fenerbahce, simple because he is past his best form, has been for a while now.
6 months left on his contract with the option to extend another year.
do we really need another well past his best from striker that will be on silly money.
2 mill tops i'd pay for him, simply isn't worth any more.

Laudrup he’s only 30 and is behind a world class striker in Dzeko so isn’t getting as much game time. To say someone with 50+ caps for Belgium during their golden generation isn’t a big signing is laughable. You don’t play for Dortmund Chelsea Marseille etc. if you’re not a good player. If he’s available then it’s an absolute no brainer and I have no doubt he’d bang in 15+ in the second half of the season.

You don't go from 40 mill in value and clubs like Dortmund and Chelsea to 7 mill in value and clubs like Crystal plalace and Besiktas.
Sure he had mad potential about 5-6 years ago, unfortunately he has never realised his true potential due to the ankle injuries.
Hence the serious decrease in value and ending up at lower quality clubs since his early season at Chelsea and his loan at Dortmund.

say we buy him for 2-3 million on a 2 year deal and put him on daft wages like 40 grand a week, all it's going to take is one serious heavy tackle into those already damaged ankles and then we have another Striker spending more time on the treatment table than on the pitch.

would rather invest that money on Sima.

If you’re trying to turn your nose up at a guy who’s got 50+ caps for Belgium and scored 28 in 52 at his last club then I’d love to know who you think we should be looking at.

If we continue to fill our team with overpriced loan deals we are only living in short term - and say we do this pay big cash and fail at last hurdle then we are just going to end up further behind the eastenders - We currently have a loan player who we prob cannot afford next season so its time to get real and build for future or the future could be more bleak than we have seen it- I believe PC can build us a team which challenges ( he has punched above weight with this ageing/ injury prone and average player squad to date) so let's support him and not overpriced players looking for a payday- bit of identity needed in our squad - win our league title then look at the ODD big name if we can afford them!

Blue floyd normally I’d agree with you but I think a loan is actually a good move in this window with the euros on horizon there will be strikers not currently starting for their clubs that would be out of our reach that need game time.
