new steak pie update. farmers market every 2nd week in partick near quarter gill pub, hairy beast steak oies and steaks, fantastic, and the best square sausage i ever tasted, like the old days,

Tom, funny you should say that me and misses said exact same thing re black adders. We got one last week and after it we both said it wasn't so good or at least usual standards. It was just that one week though, rest been fine. Will definitely give market a try, cannot whack a good steak pie. Tom/ John no sure if either you tried Gary's butcher saracen street, excellent square sausages.

used to make them mb, but i can't really do much in the kitchen now, blackadders is on maryhill rd, you should know it well,

laudo I've had them delivered from everywhere, arbroath, aberdeensire, dunfries, and collins is a good shout, good food from there, and i have a good butchers in milngavie too, finding the perfect steak pie is my lifes ambition, with sausages.

I get all my meats delivered up to Angus from Reilly and sons in Bearsden. Supply a lot of restaurants in Glasgow. There filets and chateaubriands are fantastic and unbeatable prices.

I have to say that my wife's steak pie takes some beating. It's based on a family recipe that goes back a couple of generations and is always my preferred choice.
In terms of butcher meat, Scotch pies etc., we tend to buy a stock of square sausage, black pudding, pies, beef olives and more from Tom Courts in Burntisland. They now do deliveries across the UK, but only for their butcher meat.
We also import from Scott Brothers of Dundee who have excellent Butcher Meat.
Locally, we buy pies from Sweeney and Todd in Reading. They have an excellent array of pies!
