Starting a new post as my reply to the comments on my original post about team for Saturday would get lost. Tillman wasn't to be played a s a false 9. It was to play as A 9. What's a false nine SWS? If your sayng its someone who isn't a striker playing there then what did you call sands playing CB? A false CB. Btw tillman was used as a striker for Bayerns reserves, so still don't get the false 9.
Anyway my reason for that team is because, playing kent and morelos and the same way everytime single feckin time we play them, clearly isn't working. You can't keep doing the same stuff, over and over and over again. You do that you get the same results, over and over and over again. It's time to mix it up and in my opinion, playing tillman there wouldn't be a bad thing. He clearly can hold the ball up, just like morelos. Difference being he can hold onto it better, turn with it, beat a man. He also is a natural finisher of the ball. Alfie can score but usually after 10 previous attempts at goal. Sakala on right wing, cantwell on left. Need to face facts that, as of now, kent hasn't signed a deal, therefore its time to start preparing for life without him. And it wouldn't be before time that he spent some time on the sidelines. Raskin I think will probably have been wrapped in cotton wool because mick beale knows he needs him. I would be very surprised if he doesn't start.

I don’t think it’s down to Morelos and Kent that we don’t have much success if we were to mix it up a bit do we change goldson, tavernier etc? I think we need to play best team available so I’d probably start all the guys I mentioned ??‍♂️.

Tjbib56, I'd ask what is working we've not beat them this season and at parked lost 8/ 0 over past 2 games so I wouldn't be against us changing it up for Sat.

Ot definitely agree with most of your post mate. To keep doing the same thing and expect different results is nieve to say the least. I'm with you on trying something different as it just isn't working against them. The one thing I'm not so sure about is raskin starting I would like him to start but not so sure he will. My reason for saying this is look at last old firm we played lunny and tillman when they had just come back from an injury and it didn't work both of them were miles of the pace of game.

Bgate how can you not see they are a very big part of why it is not working. Those across the city who play in the same position combined have nearly 20 more goals than those two combined. Now you can put this down to this that or the next thing but it clearly isn't good enough no matter what way you look at.
Tjbb when was the last time we beat them? Us Beating them isn't working.

Theoretically we will get a good idea over the next three games against Celtic whether we are sufficiently close to Celtic to overtake them next Season. Personally I wouldn't put much on the result this weekend in the league, (a draw will do them, we need to win and even then they need to slip up against the also rans and we need to win all our games) .
The Scottish Cup game might give us a better idea of who is up for the fight and will be the one that I will be watching with interest.
Our final game against them could be irrelevant in league terms so winning that one, other than the bragging rights is irrelevant.
Irrespective of the results in the next three games we need new blood, they need to be better than what we have, and they will all need a winning mentality!

Even if you're being pedantic about it Beale, it's still not good enough. We have not won a league game against them since the first game we played them last season. It's pathetic!

Too many got blinkers on

Beale needs this summer to put a real stamp on the team and see where we go next season

to many in this squad give up the ghost far too easy been the same for too long now

Can’t wait to see what happens in summer Beale gets what he needs and wants or he doesn’t? And we see where that leads too

I hope for a win this weekend and you would think one’s coming to end of contracts would want too put themselves in shop window but I have a feeling they will just play the same old
Team needs rejuvenated to be able too put up a proper full fight a whole season long
Only season that happened was when we won 55 every year before and after they have been far too up and down
Was it really having no fans and Celtic fell apart under Lennon that gave us that title and our players are not what we think they were

Ange came in first season BANG won the league no problems and winning cups making our team look pretty daft to be honest thinking they were better then they are
Japanese players coming over first time playing in our league absolutely no problems and no complaints and no excuses pay them play them win games it was that easy

we have relied too heavily on same folk who are just not up for the task

Anyway see what happens on Saturday and more importantly. This summer.

Boy blue I’m all for trying something different, but I don’t think the games we lost against Celtic were the fault of Kent or Morelos . We lost very soft goals that we gave away, didn’t take our chances etc. so in my opinion a combination of faults not just an attacking fault but as a team.
