Here's a question to each and everyone of you guys who post on here. In your own humble opinion will big john souttar staying injury free, go on to become a better centre half than connor goldson ? Both souttar and goldson are very similar centre halfs in they can play out from their centre half positions ?I've always rated big soapy souttar and think he's a cracking centre half who's strong in the challenge, terrific in the air and can play out as a centre half, he has all the attributes needed in his armoury to be a top centre half ? He's been immense for us of late ?.

I hope so mate, but who can tell, what I will say he's been clattered and put in some hard tackles since his return without any ill effects, so fingers crossed.

I think personally, he's one of the best CH's we've had for a good few years.

Hes only 26 and seems to be about for ages. Size let's you break through but growing fast causes injuries early on. I believe that we can have a player for the next ten years but as john says you can't predict future injuries especially those where there is another party involved but we must remain positive as this guy could be the richard gough of these times as he is so different from anyone else we've had lately. Fast, hard as nails great on the ball, good brain and one of us. It just doesn't get any better.

How can any fan predict if Soutter will go injury free sws? hopefully he does but in my opinion John Soutter is better than Goldson now.

Ok beale i understand and will rephrase what i meant mate ie. no continually injuries that used to continue to keep him out for long spells mate and of course he like every other footballer, needs luck on his side.

Pound for pound I believe Souttar is a better CH than Goldson and he also doesn't fling his arms about and look for scapegoats when errors occur in defence as Goldson frequently does- he also reads the game well and puts his head in to tough situations a la Richard Gough - It will be good to have four CHs in Balogun Goldson Souttar and King as season will take its toll no doubt. Long may he stay fit! Hopefully he will get me a goal or two as 1st scorer as I like my CH prices at bookies?.

He already is better all rounder than goldson. Hopefully can keep him fit. Love the way he likes to carry the ball forward. Scottish bougherra ?. Some tackle yesterday in 2nd half also.

Souttar has the ability no doubt, still young. His record with injuries is the problem. Starting to establish himself as our prime central defender. Likeable lad i hope he gets a change of fortune.

Why the question walter … let’s just appreciate that we have three good central defenders at the moment… compared to last year’s nightmare.
