Nice to hear that they had souness in helping them with interview. I hope and pray clement is the right man time will tell. He will need to get his own players in and hopefully we lift the league cup as that will be a boost the players need.

There's something about this appointment that reminds me of Paul Le Guen.

I just hope this group of players pull together and deliver for him as many of them have seen off two managers over the last two seasons.

Genuinely think this guy can take us to another level.

The League Cup is a must win. If Rangers fail to win that it’ll be humilation for the club. If we get turned over by Celtic in December and the points gap goes to double figures the humiliation will continue. There will be no squad rebuild until the summer. This new manager needs to come in and win games of football, put in excellent performances doing it since that is now demanded on top of winning, and we must win silverware. If he can’t do it the demand to have him sacked will quickly ramp up. We’ve seen all this before.

The fans will say he’ll get time, but he wont.

As long as the supporters see week by week improvement they will stick by him. There is no alternative to this guy and he must succeed. I heard a week or so ago about Souness's involvement and that, for me anyway, adds a lot more credibility to the appointment. I'm fascinated to see what he gets out of Lammers and Dessers because if these two had been a success, Beale would have survived. There would have been no clamour to get rid of him.
