I remember being really critical when we resigned balogun, by Christ how wrong could I be. He was outstanding yesterday as he has each game I’ve seen him this season. I wish he was 10 year younger. Also Sterling and JL, what a powerful midfield to have, two really competitive players. 2 or 3 players added in January and we’re going to be in a strong position for the rest of the season.

these guys need to rest properly because there's not a lot of back up available atm, heavy pitches and cold weather takes a hefty toll, i always like the boy sterling, i wanted him in the team weeks ago, i though5 he was a class above the lbs and he could easily play there or cm, he isn't moving tav unless injured but he should definetly find a place.

I’m fine with Balogun staying for another year on the basis that Davies is out the door and we bring in someone else to be a main starter. Goldson + new signing starters and Balogun + Souttar backup is more than enough for me.

If Big Leon gets a continued run in the team and performs then he deserves an extension even if it’s being a squad player for following season, but who knows Davie aerie did quite well for us! Sterling I like in the middle, hope he gets a run. Hal, Big Phil’s interview and when asked I suspect an announcement soon on a 2 year extension for Lunny.

Balogun would be a cheap signing, I think his current contract is 3k a week fixed and a bonus for being in the match day squad, a further bonus if he plays. I'm on the fence whether he should get another year.

Signing Balogun has not stopped us moving forward ~ see results, league position, Europe etc

Resigning him for next season (depending on his fitness) as a backup is a no brainer ~ he wants to be here and has the passion to succeed.

guys, this depends very much on a guys natural fitness, i knew 34 yr olds that made 18yr olds look like old men, everything re balogun depends on how fit he is.

Done well to get up with Duk and take the ball cleanly then keep it, I had the fear as he was on a yellow but he was bang at it, only realised how quick he is in the last two months he’s been brilliant.

John I can't agree for me if balogun first choice just now that means we should get rid of Davies first.

For me it's the same as the sakala and colak thing getting rid of guys you know can give you a performance over guys you don't know yet is highly risky. I'd give balogun a 1 year deal and buy a new CB and if the CB performance up to scratch then let balogun go in January or the end of season.

Gofor not so easy to get rid of a player who has a contract than one who does not, fact is to keep winning we have to upgrade
