I made my opinion clear that I wouldn't have gone for Rohl and wanted Muscat. In saying that the problems are obviously far deeper.

I am on board with Rohl now and feel he has to be given his entire contract to get us back to where we want to be. I would hope that when more defeats come, because they will, that the fans keep their attention on Thelwell and co as this is where the rot is coming from.
His appointment of Martin along with his recruitment has put us back years on par with the Warburton/ Caixinha teams. I believe this is due to a combination of him just not being very good at his job and not understanding the club and Scottish game (the English arrogance maybe).

He cannot be given any license in January to recruit players as it will set us back even farther.

We need a new DOF asap along with new recruitment. I'd go for Davie Weir for the facts that he knows the clubs standards, knows Scottish football, has done well down south. It was also a big mistake letting Koppen go as I think he could've worked very well with Rohl and the model we are looking to implement.

For players coming in we badly need experience and a new spine to the team. How that's going to be done in a January window, I have no idea. Worrying time but I will back Danny Rohl for as long as it takes.

Now that Europe is a bridge too far the money lost on that particular adventure adds on to the money that Thelwell has cost the club between home gates and advancing money. add on 8M for Chermiti and the wages the duds are making on loan along with replacing his choice as manager.

Begs belief that he is actually still wearing a club tie at this point. he should have been gone with Martin. Stewart will also go through time. one dud at a time seems to be the case.

I spoke briefly to an ex pro from Coventry City yesterday, he cannot believe what's going on at Ibrox lately, said we're becoming a
" basket case club " He is still involved in football, and does rate Danny Rohl though!

The main problem with Thewell is not just his horrific recruitment record, It's his preconceived idea about Scottish Football in general, a typical English approach to Scottish Football, they all believe that the Scottish league is a poorer standard, that Championship players will do a job.

But the players he has brought in these players are miles off the standard to play for Rangers or Celtic. The English Championship is the worst market to buy players, they are overpriced because there is so much money in this market.

This is the worst squad of players we have had since Pedro. How Thelwell is still in a job is beyond me, I do not think pep would get a tune out this group of players. He cannot be allowed to waste more money in January.
