Heres a fun fact. our loanie Cornelius hasn't kicked a ball for Rangers in 27 games. played 16 mins for canada yesterday. His last game of football was 29 games ago and it was for canada in another friendly where he played 30 mins.

hopefully the era of players like Matondo and the likes of Cornelius who take wages and never have intentions of playing are gone. I could also mention Roofe and quite a few others who will become millionaires by sitting on a treatment table.

Deecee, he got injured in his last game for Canada, mate, he's only got fit recently, but did pick a few knocks before that one, Rohl said in his last interview the World Cup is where you want to be or very similar, and then said he'd help Cornelius, that concerned me, maybe picked him up wrong, but am only interested in Rangers winning the league like Rohl should be, hopefully I've picked it up wrong, did any other pick this up?

Dunno, Mystar, he was very cagey about him during the interview. Had been speculation of a fall out, and him training with the kids because of him joining up, but Rohl just said they'd need a talk when he gets back about his future. At least that was my take on it. Don't see him having any future with us.

I wouldn't be offering him a contract. I can't be arsed with players who sit down wanting the game to be stopped because they took a little knock, and he excels in that department.

Watched it a couple of days ago, he seems like a wonderful young man Annick, loved him going into schools and talking about his experiences, his brother is so proud of him, you could see that on his face, best video I've watched in a long time.

Are some people serious on here when speculating that we might spend £15-£20m on Moore? That will never happen and neither should it. A couple of seasons ago we'd have baulked at even stretching to £4m for a player. We should be looking at developing our own players to generate this kind of money and should never dream of outlaying this type of figure.

Aribo, Bassey and hopefully Fernandez is the business model when operating in our league. I really like Mikey Moore but at best we get one more year on loan to enjoy his talents

Del, I agree 100% with you and don't think it will happen nor do I think it would be sensible if it did. But fans just want us to win and see the club do well. I can't argue with that, and sometimes we see things which we think will help achieve that no matter how insensible they may be.

I agree, and it would leave very little scope to sell player on, plus his wages for such a deal would prob be insane.

The way I look at it, would we want 5 decent players at 4M each or one good player at 20M. For me it's the first, spread the risk and potential profit. Imagine we decided that we spend 20M and he breaks a leg or simply loses form.

Ok, so we could maybe double the money when selling him, but we could equally not.

With so many clubs supposobly interested in Fernandez I'm surprised they never bought him from Peterbrough themself. If he does leave for a big sale this will be a great advert for Rangers especially if it's to the epl. Same if Raskin goes to the epl for future signings can join us then move onto bigger leagues.

Davie, I think similar to Igamane, if we didn't get him that time we'd have missed him the following window.

He's been on big clubs' radars, but they like to follow a player through his progression, similar to players who go to Holland and Belgium, then onto the big 5 leagues.

I'm with u that I don't think we'll get that much this summer anyway. I get the feeling if a big club/league come in for him he'd want the move rather than give us another year.



That's a lot of money, as I'll assume the add ins will probably equate to £5m, so £30m in total is a sell on.

Have to say, though, it's about time we asked top dollar for our players.

Whatever it is, 20% is the norm for a sell on clause and we will make a good bit of cash from any deal. This is how our player trading needs to work, and the only question now is when we will cash in.

A good position to be in, and hopefully one we find ourselves in many times over the next few years. If we don't get the price we want this season, then we get him for next and he continues to improve. Win/win, I think.

What we thinking? Surely they'll have us, them and Hearts all play each other as early as possible after the split?

I'd hate to imagine a scenario where one of the Old Firm deliberately drop points to Hearts to prevent the other Old Firm team from winning the league. Get those games out the way early and then let us all play the other teams.

They never let Celtic and Rangers play together if there's a chance that the fixture will be the decisive one for the league. Probably to do with fans not being able to behave.

Scotty, depends how fixtures go before then, and points difference. Celtic v Hearts first would be ideal for us given the points difference. Celtic win, then game on for them. Hearts win, Celtic are done, and won't be able to throw anything. Old Firm second. And, probably Hearts away for us, final game would do for me.

Geesadod, just wanted to say great post. Lots of wringing of hands over wee neds running on the pitch, & rightly so, but not a dicky about certain songs being belted out by 50,000. There's no chance this will ever stop, both sides.
