If loans with option to buy was basically an obligation but with injury protection then we'd have been able to punt and make some of our money back on all our failed signings we put on loan in recent years like Cortes, Cifu, Davies, Dowell etc etc. Unfortunately none took them on because it was just that, an option.

21 Apr 2026 20:12:46
Kaiser, I am sorry, but that generalization is just pure wrong.

Each and every negotiation is different.

Every deal is different.

If it was as simple as you said, then there would be no need in negotiations as everyone would have a template for every deal.

21 Apr 2026 20:48:40
If he doesn't turn up and show the player he was a couple of years ago, Rangers won't sign him, Kaiser, will not be many people nothing his option either.

21 Apr 2026 21:32:54
You could make a list of players who used to be wonderkids or who we hoped to whip into shape and bring the best out of them. Doesn't really happen in reality.
Carlos Pena, anyone?
I am intrigued what he could be like with a pre season, though.

I just feel maybe this isn't the league for him to bring the best out of him. Could be wrong.

21 Apr 2026 22:53:46
That's exactly what I'm saying, Aph. Loans with option are totally different from saying it's basically an obligation but with injury protection as was stated in an earlier post. All are completely different, otherwise we'd have been able to get rid of those players who were option to buy loans.

21 Apr 2026 23:32:42
Kaiser, it is loan with option to buy, yes.

There are parameters that could turn the deal into an obligation.

I have been clear what the information I had was.

At this stage I am led to believe that the option will be exercised.

Fee is what is the major variable.

22 Apr 2026 00:19:59
If we take up the option at price quotes of EUR7-8m then we're going to have some warchest this summer.

No way we spend half our budget on one player, so if we sign him, expect Β£30m+ to be spent.

22 Apr 2026 12:09:08
Breaking into the Belgium side would be valuable, if he would make the Scottish 11, but he doesn't, that makes it a downgrade for Belgium.

Not really that they're the same player, it highlights nonsense like the guy said he was more inconsistent than Raskin, never seen a player as inconsistent as Raskin is.

Lundstram was a key player for us, there's no evidence yet that Raskin can be a key player and get us over the line.

You give him far too much off a pass because you like him, you collectively not an individual.

To me it's clear he's playing with less intensity this season to stay fit, and that could be the difference for us this season, and I cannot believe you guys let him off with it while quoting defensive or attacking players when he's supposed to be captain material best player in the team its crazy.

Keep in mind some of the same people who back Raskin to the hilt will now come out and call Tav a serial loser, then so is Raskin.

Don't pick and choose who your favourites are then criticise them less, Raskin has been worse for us than Davis, Jack, Kamara, Aribo, Arfield, Lundstram and I'm suspicious Chuck will do more for us too.

Doesn't mean he doesn't have a higher celling but you're lying if you say you've seen it in a Rangers shirt, this same mentality means Chermiti gets it anytime he misses a chance but Raskin can't control a game failing 5 yard passes is completely forgotten about.

He could win a title and this would have been his worst season for us by a distance, almost like there's a world cup and big move coming up for him.

We'll see if you remember this if we don't win the title instead of blaming Aasgaard or the gas man or Chermiti or Souttar or Tav or Skov, you see how far that guys down the list of criticised players? Why? Cause you've decided you like him.

Do you really think the fan base treats those they like the same as those they dont?

Then take the Raskin glasses off, across this season he's been poor, playing with no intensity and I've got to hear about John Lundstram's inconsistency? XD

It's never the 'best player in the team future captains' fault.

Good video and a rubbish song. Ibrox will sound like a Run Rig concert if we start singing these A.I generated songs.

21 Apr 2026 17:07:48
Ibrox would be lucky to sound like a Runrig concert.

21 Apr 2026 17:25:29
Three Cheers, O'Sullivan's still got it mate.

21 Apr 2026 19:31:35
Aw, come on, love a bit of Runrig.

21 Apr 2026 22:14:25
He sure has star, the best player to ever play the game by a mile.

22 Apr 2026 00:29:41
As my Chinese pal said foo can love it.

20 Apr 2026 22:26:38
I'm in the Tav to stay camp. I think he has been a very good player for us and still think he can be an important player for us going into next season. So IMO I would love him to stay.

A bit of light heartedness (if allowed Edds! )

We have a blue badge as my wife sufferers from COPD stage three. Here we go!

We went shopping today and parked in a disabled spot (I am the driver! ) Displaying my wife blue badge. Guy comes over "what disability do you have? " I am partially blind, I said.
He apologised.

I would so love to see his face, when the penny drops πŸ˜‚.

I shouldn't have laughed at that but I shamefully did. 😁
I hope he complimented you on your good parking considering. 🀣🀣🀣

20 Apr 2026 11:42:29
White horse, u can be blind in one eye and drive.

20 Apr 2026 11:55:33
Horse, 🀣 you should have said "who said that". πŸ₯Έ

20 Apr 2026 12:05:03
Should've said Tourettes n told him to P. O. πŸ˜‰πŸ˜„πŸ‘

20 Apr 2026 14:23:24
Some of these people don't even comprehend a disability does not have to be visible. Should have told him to get lost.

20 Apr 2026 17:11:38
True blue, you are too polite.

20 Apr 2026 21:04:39
Thanks, John. I will take that as a compliment, I must be going soft in my old age.

21 Apr 2026 11:57:10
John, thanks for the info. I have two buttons you can push. One is were I will make someone look foolish and embarrassed for challenging me.
I will leave the 2nd one out. Its the one we all have lol.

John, if you can drive with one eye (wait for it) how do you change gear and work the steering wheel?

Only some will get that!
OK. jakits on.

21 Apr 2026 12:57:35
Class big dado. 🀣 That post somehow made me think of Richard Prior in See No Evil Hear No Evil, when he's throwing random punches at a guy at the traffic lights, brilliant!

21 Apr 2026 14:12:56
pmsl White Horse.

21 Apr 2026 14:57:01
Funny White Horse lol. Unfortunately my mum and sister both had COPD. Horrible diseases and wish your wife the best.

21 Apr 2026 19:42:57
Thanks, Davie.

18 Apr 2026 21:33:27
Aph just a wee comment on your post about Olsen and his mentality. Am I right in saying one of the coaches Rohl brought has a background in sports psychology? Would it be fair to assume he'll be working closely with Olsen based on what you were saying about his mood, confidence, isolation etc?

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Apr 2026 22:10:57
Yes, Sascha will be working very closely with Andreas.

They would have known about his struggles prior to signing, and I truly believe that he will return to form.

As for those saying he should return home, I disagree entirely.

He was a "loner" at Nordsjaelland when breaking through, and remains an introvert to this day.

That does not make him any less a team player, it's just his personality.

Danny and his team are managing him in a far better way than Wolfsburg did.

Remember Cerny received the same treatment as Andreas at Wolfsburg.

18 Apr 2026 22:27:23
My best wishes to the young man.

From what Aphelion says, I am guessing he takes the world upon his shoulders and is probably his own worst critic. Not everyone responds to the hairdryer treatment, so I am glad to hear that he is in good hands.

Introverts need attention too. It's just a different kind from extroverts.

Personally, I hope he will be with us next year and, more importantly, that he finds the happiness we all deserve.

19 Apr 2026 11:38:18
Great post Jardine, what a delight it is seeing someone who actually understands.

People expect players to be robots but they are human beings.

No matter how much someone's salary is, they can have low self esteem and a mental health struggle.

I know finances have been no help to me when dealing with personal issues.
Capital is not immunity.

19 Apr 2026 12:26:14
Some of the wealthiest people struggle most with mental health, look at Robin Williams, for example.

The thing with self-criticism is, it can be a constructive tool when used in a balanced way, but when it gets out of control it becomes incredibly destructive, and I see a lot of that in Olsen.

You can see him second guessing himself at times. I hope he shows his ability in the next 5 games, and I hope from there he becomes our player if we can unlock his abilities.

19 Apr 2026 12:38:03
Great post Ayrshire. He has my support.

19 Apr 2026 12:39:03
Aph, I don't think anyone understood where the boy was at mentally. We just thought he was out of form. Players will get judged on form, especially the highest earners. Now people know what's going on with him, they will hopefully give him a bit leeway and get behind the boy.

If Rangers did know about his struggles and don't get it sorted before the end of his loan spell, would it be good buisness to sign him? I'm not sure it would be. I'm not hating on the guy, as I said a couple of days ago I would love him to smash it, for us and for him, it's a strange one.

19 Apr 2026 12:47:56
BB4, I know you are not hating and have shown support throughout this time.

I do believe the club have taken positive steps and Andreas is making positive steps also.

Unfortunately, it has not translated into quality performances on the pitch, but I do believe that they will come.

I personally would take the risk on him, but I understand and respect others' viewpoints to the contrary.

19 Apr 2026 13:53:27
Aph, you really got me thinking with the post about if he can produce a goal and 4 assists when so low in confidence, what can he do if he finds himself again. It's actually a great point.

19 Apr 2026 13:58:08
I am glad I post at least some sense, BB4.

That is the way my mind works.

He provides a goal contribution in 50% of matches.

No Rangers player comes close to that average, and that is him with no confidence and in poor form.

19 Apr 2026 14:26:11
Aph, first and foremost I hope can sort his head out, there's more important things than football. Secondly, whatever Rangers decide to do I'll trust they know what they're doing. Many wrote Chermiti off after a few months. He seems to be changing minds, so there's no reason Skov can't do the same. I'll be willing the boy on, no matter what.

19 Apr 2026 14:29:57
100% football is secondary no matter what fans think.

I will be supporting every single player that takes to the field in these 5 cup finals.

We can do this, my friend.

19 Apr 2026 14:39:34
Boy Blue, one difference between Chermiti and Olsen, mate, one works very hard for his teammates. I've yet to witness that from the other. In fact, that's telling a lie; I saw it for 45 minutes against Celtic. It's not only his transfer fee, this wage doesn't represent the player we've seen. He'll need to turn it right around in the remaining games.

19 Apr 2026 15:13:02
Entitled to your opinion Mystar, but I personally saw him sprint from one corner to the next just to get a block in when we were 2 up. I'm personally going to support the πŸ’© out the boy in the hope he can come good, especially after hearing the boy's struggles.

19 Apr 2026 15:40:55
Celtic is the game, Boy Blue? His last game against United, he wasn't even interested in being on the park and it showed. You must have seen that. Yes, get him all the support he needs, I'm all for that, but he's still done nothing for years, mate.

It's a massive gamble Rangers would be taking on a player costing about 15m all, a player that's done nothing for years, or a player missing around 40 games through injury since 2023.

19 Apr 2026 15:41:59
You seeing Olsen working for his teammates, we are definitely watching different players, Boy Blue.

19 Apr 2026 15:49:59
I love how a poor 12 months since joining Wolfsburg has transformed into done nothing for years. 🀭 My word.

He was in the form of his life prior to that move, which is the reason Wolfsburg decided to spend the money.

19 Apr 2026 16:27:48
Done nothing for years is a massive stretch even for you star. He's had one poor season

19 Apr 2026 17:05:53
Mystar, how could you possibly know that he didn't want to be on the park? You couldn't, it's impossible unless Skov told you. Maybe get off the boys' back and try supporting him through a difficult period, instead of fabricating stories about him. Maybe bear in mind that if it wasn't for Skov, you wouldn't have seen what you described as the best two goals in Old Firm games.

Nobody's disagreeing that it's not worked out so far, to say a player isn't trying is ridiculous, especially coming from you who continually talks about players getting time.

19 Apr 2026 17:15:53
Can anyone clarify if Rangers or Olsen has come out and said he has mental health issues?

19 Apr 2026 17:20:47
No, John, no one has said that he has mental health issues.

It is widely known that he is an introvert or a self confessed "loner".

It is also widely known that he has had confidence issues in the past.

Information I have is that he is struggling for confidence.

At no point have I ever said he has mental health issues.

19 Apr 2026 17:38:43
John EHL mentioned yesterday that a couple of coaches said to him that they hadn't worked with a player as short of confidence as Skov. Someone's confidence can be worked on in the proper environment, but what chance does he have if his own fans can't get behind him, making up rumours of his salary, that he doesn't want to be on park and has done nothing for "years".

πŸ™„

19 Apr 2026 17:41:13
John, what I read online was depression. Aph, have you heard that? I'm sure lots of players get that though when injury comes and can't make it back into the team then moves on loan to a new country not knowing what's happening with his future. Maybe it's just a new permanent club he can call home again.

19 Apr 2026 18:02:16
Oooft for the ooofter bb. πŸ€πŸ‘πŸ€£πŸ”±

19 Apr 2026 18:13:14
Ooofter without the "p" I'll accept all day, forky boy. πŸ€Έβ€β™€οΈ

19 Apr 2026 21:24:47
U do realise that's a girl doing a cartwheel πŸ‘€, u sure u don't want a "P" for your ooft? πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‡πŸ”±

19 Apr 2026 21:39:12
Every player in the squad needs all the fans behind them for these 5 games, no matter who they are, Olsen, Tav, Souttar, Barron, Raskin, every single one of them.

19 Apr 2026 21:55:27
Fabrication of the truth, on a rumours site, terrible behaviour, almost like clickbait. πŸ‘€πŸ˜‡πŸ”±

20 Apr 2026 02:27:45
Boy Blue, because he didn't look like he wanted to be on the park against United, what has he done since 2023 then? Expect to miss around 40 games through injuries. I would love hearing those lies, like.

20 Apr 2026 14:12:08
Good luck to Olsen but he's not going to hack it with Rangers

18 Apr 2026 18:52:37
Good wee clip of Mikey Moore in he's car few days after the Old Firm game he scored in, it's on instagram of Josephboakye_ have a wee look.

Only 10 secs long but he's signing too for a fan and the boys like that this is your home now we need to sign ye, mikeys taking to passenger about it driving away.

Still don't think we'll have him next season but good to see a wee clip of him getting it

20 Apr 2026 14:13:43
Whatever happens with Spurs will decide what happens with the player, they look in serious trouble now.

18 Apr 2026 16:51:26
Fork _ thanks for your earlier post. Had the procedure on Thursday, now back home and doing ok. Was told it was a success though not likely to feel the full benefit for another few weeks but tbh I've got nothing to complain about given what others are going through.

I'm back here for all of the split so looking forward to 56 coming home and John winning his big bet. Under Danny. I genuinely think this group have got something different about them to get them over the line.

Take care everyone!

Jardine, take it easy and do as doc says.

18 Apr 2026 19:56:35
Excellent, bud. I hope your recovery goes well and we get a title to celebrate. All the best, mate. πŸ‘πŸ‘

18 Apr 2026 20:04:28
Jardine, glad hearing it was a success. You take care, mate.

18 Apr 2026 20:08:35
Brilliant, Jardine. But after last week's game I don't know if watching the next 5 games will be good for any of our health. Winning will certainly do the world of good for yourself and OWS spirits or anyone else going through something similar.

18 Apr 2026 21:51:01
Good news.

19 Apr 2026 12:41:10
