Again don't shoot the messenger.
Dan Neil looks to be a done deal.
4 year deal.

Actually think he will be a decent signing.
Needs high quality beside him in midfield, but a lot of work to do in that area.
04 Jun 2026 19:03:49
No reason to doubt your info, Unionjack1, and I'd be really delighted if Dan Neil is all but signed for us. ππ¬π§
04 Jun 2026 19:09:59
My cousin messaged a few times regarding this signing.
He seemed adamant it would happen and that was what he was picking up down there.
Think he will be a good player for us.
Skoglund next I reckon.
04 Jun 2026 22:46:27
Never seen the lad play, what kind of player do you think we'll be getting?
Our recent signings from the Championship have left me with a bit of dread - Rothwell, Dowell, Lawrence. Decent enough players, but not fit or robust enough for our league, which is surprising, having played in what's known as the toughest league in Europe.
05 Jun 2026 06:28:53
Zikos, Dan Neil imo can play as a 6 or an 8 mate. π He's very comfortable on the ball, not afraid of a challenge or two, very nice left peg with a very good range of passing. π He's also a leader and gets about the park very well. ππ¬π§
05 Jun 2026 07:13:20
Lawrence was injury prone but I thought he looked a decent player.
05 Jun 2026 09:04:46
Baz, pre-injury, in the first few games he looked top. Anytime he played after the injuries, he had lost a yard and looked a shadow of that player. Real shame too, as he would've been a great signing if he hadn't got that big injury.
05 Jun 2026 09:22:26
You're right, Wishy. He did show fleeting moments at times after injury too.
05 Jun 2026 16:28:45
SWS, what player would you most liken him to and in your opinion is he better than Elliot Watt! Given that he'll probably cost 6-8 times as much in wages.
05 Jun 2026 17:32:47
He had a cracking season leading Sunderland to the Championship and being part of Ipswich going up in the season just finished. Think he looks not only a strong player but a leader.
05 Jun 2026 19:40:49
Zikos, he wasn't on a big wage, football wise.
04 Jun 2026 17:08:08
Alphe how about an update on the Scandinavian targets. Ie Anderson Dahl Waddell skogland and any others.

04 Jun 2026 17:33:55
Anderson is signing for Sporting Lisbon tomorrow.
04 Jun 2026 17:59:26
I heard all the Scandinavians pube shavers are also stuck in the Strait of Hormuz for now John. Angus is currently trying to negotiate a peace agreement to get them out. Apparently once Storms arrives oor Davie is going to deliver it in his bus ππ€£π€£
04 Jun 2026 18:06:11
Confirmed that the lad Andersen is off to Sporting.
Skoglund, no interest from the club as it stands. Was scouted. Not being taken further is the word.
04 Jun 2026 18:18:07
WhatsTheStory, Is the word from who? From someone ITK? There's a few bits on-line saying talks have started and there's been more than one meeting between parties in recent weeks. How can you be so sure?
04 Jun 2026 18:29:57
Four lads, I was but there was a bit of trouble and Iran away from it. π
04 Jun 2026 18:31:54
Rwn, I wouldn't bother tbh. Guys reps been in discussion and at training centre, but aye we're not interested.
04 Jun 2026 18:32:20
Clyde SSB literally have him close to joining as a topic tonight. Fan media saying we're in talks. Not saying you're wrong, WhatsTheStory, so just need to wait and see who's closer to being right.
04 Jun 2026 19:33:33
Further to John's post, certainly miss your input, Alphe, please return and ignore the other idiot posters.
04 Jun 2026 20:12:27
Aph is 'gone' and he's not coming back. Or he's still here hiding. Waiting for us to beg him back. π
04 Jun 2026 22:05:58
What's the story he's been around Ibrox and the training centre already.
04 Jun 2026 23:06:52
Well said scrambled, some appreciated his posts, the idiots you spoke of vilified them, granted Aph took the bait n didn't help himself, but strange they jumped all over it last time then disappeared when called out, so much so Ed commented on it.
04 Jun 2026 23:36:20
Agree, Fork! Aphelion, I'm back after a few much needed weeks to get my health and fitness back. Hope to see you soon.
05 Jun 2026 06:30:20
Very nice to see you back too, Jardine. π Hope you're keeping well, pal. π
05 Jun 2026 07:15:33
Did I miss something? What happened with Asa?
05 Jun 2026 10:31:06
Gave up and don't blame him.
04 Jun 2026 23:06:52
Well said scrambled, some appreciated his posts, the idiots you spoke of vilified them, granted Aph took the bait n didn't help himself, but strange they jumped all over it last time then disappeared when called out, so much so Ed commented on it.
05 Jun 2026 11:27:23
@samoforange
The talk of him being shown around Ibrox etc was false.
He's not a target, as Chris Jack has confirmed today also.
05 Jun 2026 14:08:11
Chris Jack has been wrong a fair amount. He has certainly been in the training centre. He shares an agency with Svenson at Dortmund. A family member of mine had dinner with one of the agents in Eindhoven not long ago. Take from that what you will. He may not sign, but he's been here.
05 Jun 2026 14:15:26
Baz, he abused multiple posters and quit when they bit back.
05 Jun 2026 20:30:19
Manicblue your talking a pile of π© it was the other way about, all in the archives have a look or just keep making π© up.
06 Jun 2026 07:15:55
No one said he was signing that I'm aware of. All that was said was that we were interested in him despite what others say. As Orange says, he was at the training centre, as was Dan Neil, so I guess we're not interested in him either.
06 Jun 2026 07:24:33
No worries fork. We will agree to disagree
06 Jun 2026 13:33:42
No probs. π
04 Jun 2026 16:40:49
Alan Nixon saying negotiations are still ongoing with Dan Neil and we might go for Anthony Patterson.
Agree0
Disagree0
04 Jun 2026 17:19:32
I can't remember who said this, AyrshireMurphy, but someone posted on here that Anthony Patterson is similar to Jack Butland and not renowned for being good with his feet, and we all know to play the way Rohl wants, we have to sign a goalkeeper who's also good with his feet, I would have thought. π€
04 Jun 2026 17:58:28
Not a scooby about the lad except that he's valued at 8m.
04 Jun 2026 18:10:25
Sws, that was me. Better around keeper, but don't think he's a keeper Rohl will be interested in, but a good keeper.
04 Jun 2026 18:28:54
#All round.
04 Jun 2026 18:31:38
I'm not sure Rohl has ever said that the way he wants to play needs a GK to be good with his feet. He played Butland all last season he was here, and he isn't good with his feet; really poor 70% pass rate. π Think fans on here have said it, but unless I missed it, not sure he has. π€·
04 Jun 2026 19:25:27
Was reading a Sunderland fan site, i.e. Patterson. Great shot-stopper, terrible distribution. 8mil would be daylight robbery. Their words, not mine!
04 Jun 2026 19:35:12
Angus, why would he get rid of Butland to get someone in who would have similar flaws?
04 Jun 2026 20:30:03
Wishy, that is the thing though. I have not heard he has said he is getting rid of him either though.
These are all just rumours, some may come true, most won't.
04 Jun 2026 21:38:09
Wishy, Gallagher is a better all round keeper than Butland.
Angus, I believe Rohl will sign a keeper that is comfortable outside his box, that's neither Gallagher or Butland.
04 Jun 2026 21:46:30
#Patterson.
04 Jun 2026 22:26:34
Star not saying that won't happen. Just commenting on the fact we don't know how Rohl actually wants to play, nor do we know we want to get rid of Butland. Those are facts imo unless I missed Rohl saying either of those two things.
04 Jun 2026 23:23:08
Angus, that's just my opinion, mate.
05 Jun 2026 09:07:28
Yeah, he's not Angus. I am going off of the rumours from on here and fan media that we are looking to upgrade.
I personally don't see the point in getting rid of Butland for another goaly who isn't great with his feet, as it would not really help us any.
05 Jun 2026 19:39:39
Jack Butland has 9 left feets. Top bloke. But that's just too many for a goalie.
04 Jun 2026 16:33:20
Dan Neil deal ongoing and working toward a successful conclusion according to reports down south.

04 Jun 2026 17:25:09
Keep getting told this should happen.
Player is apparently wanting to come.
So I think it will be done.
04 Jun 2026 21:40:28
Desperate for this signing, Niel has got the character we need, and a good footballer, and left footed.
04 Jun 2026 07:01:48
A wee bit of news kicking about that we are in a good position to try and sign Silas Anderson! He would be a great player to have and the type of player we are looking for midfield stability. No doubt he'll be hard to get with teams like Sporting and that lot across the river looking for his signature, fingers crossed this one can happen.
Agree10
Disagree0
04 Jun 2026 07:54:47
Boydy, I was led to believe that Silas Andersen was signing for Sporting Lisbon, mate. π€ Hope we can get him, right enough. π What type of midfielder is he, ie. is he more of a no.6, no.8 or no.10 type midfielder. π€
04 Jun 2026 07:55:35
I thought it was all agreed with Sporting, bar the player signing dotted line?
Seen few tenuous comments over last few days, also saying Tims are in for him too.
04 Jun 2026 09:17:51
Can't see us signing this lad if Sporting want him. You would be mental to turn them down for us.
04 Jun 2026 09:41:26
Sporting stalled the Andersen deal because they have opened negotiations with Palinha after Tottenham decided against signing him.
04 Jun 2026 09:44:32
Still think he signs with Sporting anyway. I agree with Wishy. You'd be silly to turn them down. He has one good season with them and he's in the EPL or La Liga.
04 Jun 2026 10:10:23
Cal, he could have one good season with us & find himself there too.
04 Jun 2026 10:33:39
Mass, No point in kidding on, he would need to have an exceptional season with us (O'Riley numbers) vs a good season at Sporting to get a similar move, or a really good season could see him in the top half for Prem/La Liga. Which he isn't getting here. Bored of pretending we can offer the same opportunity.
04 Jun 2026 10:38:11
Cal, Bassey had 1 good season and he was in Holland, which isn't far off a top 5 league. Fernandez is on the same trajectory.
Our league might be horrid, but there's no point putting down the fact you can get big moves from it.
Before I forget, Patterson had a good 6 months and got a Prem move.
04 Jun 2026 10:51:47
Financially it may be harder to compete with top teams in Portugal and the league is obviously more highly sought after. But I don't necessarily think someone would be silly to choose Rangers, we are still a big club with big games, Europe and a chance to play in Europe, albeit Sporting would probably be the more attractive option at this moment in time.
I'd like to think the club have a pretty good rep around Europe still despite our poor showing last season, maybe my specs are on, who knows. π€·ββοΈ
04 Jun 2026 10:52:30
Moved to Holland where he was thrown out of the team after a few games.
Patterson was a youngster and a totally different scenario. Everton needed a RB badly and their main target fell through and ended up at Patterson, who then sat playing in the Premier League for the rest of the season.
04 Jun 2026 10:54:02
Genuinely can't believe people are arguing that Sporting isn't a much better path to further your career than us. π
04 Jun 2026 11:06:22
Can't believe there are fans of ours thinking that we don't offer a good pathway, as regardless of what you say, we have had many move from our league to top 5 leagues.
I mean, how can you not see moving to Sporting also holds a high risk of not working out and earning no move to a top 5 league.
04 Jun 2026 11:18:47
No one is saying Sporting isn't a better move. What are you talking about? People are pointing out how silly it is to say you can't get a good move from Scotland when it's happened in the past.
Bassey got a move to Ajax, manager and ex players hounded him, and now he's a mainstay in a mid table Prem side, and probably getting a much better wage at said Prem side.
I know what I'd rather.
04 Jun 2026 11:19:11
Rangers fans are hilarious. One week we argue that Portsmouth is a more attractive option than Rangers, and then the next week we go to the opposite end of the scale and say we are a better option than Sporting Lisbon.
π It's no slight on Rangers to say that Sporting is a better option for a player to move on from. We have one big sale to a big league every 2/3 year if we are lucky. They churn out players to the league every single window.
04 Jun 2026 11:25:18
No one has said Sporting isn't a better move or choice than us for the fact you can get to a top 5 league quicker. Simply pointing out we've done it in the past and will probably continue to with Fernandez and possibly Chermiti.
04 Jun 2026 11:33:25
SWS, from what I've read and researched about him, he's more of a no6 type of player that can dictate the game and has an eye for a cutting edge pass to split the midfield and defence. For a player that quality, just about to turn 22, is pretty impressive.
04 Jun 2026 11:35:35
Beef, what are you talking about? I never said you can't get a good move with us either.
But Andersen would be a silly boy to move to us over Sporting. That's not some wild, controversial thing to say, like you've tried to make it. It's indeed the much better move. Facts.
04 Jun 2026 11:46:57
No one's saying he couldn't get a move from Rangers, if he does well, of course he can. The point is there's more chance of it happening at Sporting and he would be silly to choose us over them. That being said, I hope he does choose us.
04 Jun 2026 12:27:47
Boydy, I honestly think Silas Andersen is unfortunately out of our reach now, but honestly, mate, I hope we sign Elliot Watt, as I truly think he could be a very good no.6 signing for us and exactly what we need imo. π€π¬π§
04 Jun 2026 12:31:24
He has signed for Sporting.
04 Jun 2026 12:34:23
Maybe Andersen doesn't fancy playing in green and white hoops, which makes us favourites out of those three.
The serious point is that we should be trying to sign players of that quality, and if he chooses to go elsewhere then we know we did our best to get him.
04 Jun 2026 13:21:01
Calb, who said that Sporting isn't a better path for your career than Rangers? I can't see a post in this thread.
There are also other things a player may consider on how to progress his career. Would he get more game time at Rangers, perhaps? Is he going into Sporting to become one of their starters? Who knows? Sporting is a more attractive option on paper, but if you're good enough and successful, Rangers is a great move also.
π
04 Jun 2026 14:14:20
Media reporting Andersen going to Sporting for Β£6.5m plus add-ons, which could escalate the fee to Β£8.5m.
04 Jun 2026 14:59:18
Tav123, I just think if you back your ability and want a very quick turn around in and out within a year or two, Sporting is a much better choice.
Hjulmand, plucked from a team fighting against relegation in Italy, a year and a half later he's agreeing terms with Atletico Madrid, with Real, United, City also looking at him.
Consistently selling to PSG over the last few years and consistently selling their failures to promoted sides in the EPL for more money than our "best" players sell for.
I'm not saying you can't get a move, but truth is we've sold 3 players, 2 to the Prem and 1 to Ligue 1, in 20 windows.
04 Jun 2026 15:19:35
It's not just about a better pathway, though, is it? He would need to weigh up whether he'll get regular game time at Sporting, or his career could really stall. There are many things to weigh up before making such a huge decision.
04 Jun 2026 15:30:22
He's not coming.
04 Jun 2026 16:16:47
Not going to comment more on it. He's signed for Sporting so doesn't matter now.
04 Jun 2026 16:29:47
I can totally see where Cal is coming from. I'm just saying a good season with us could be just as rewarding as a good season elsewhere. Maybe not the powerhouse we used to be, but still a very big club & attractive option. Bigger clubs might see him as a more attractive signing from Sporting/Portuguese footy than us.
04 Jun 2026 16:51:30
If you go to Sporting, you have to play better to get that move due to opposition standard, and the fee commanded to move would also be more of a hindrance.
Obviously, they are more attractive but it's not like we don't regularly beat Portuguese sides in Europe either, including Sporting.
03 Jun 2026 23:10:10
No surprise to see the Skoglund rumours accelerate now the Swedish league season has stopped for the World Cup.
Skoglund + Fallenius . β³
Norwegian league season also stopped .
Falchener π.
Agree10
Disagree0
04 Jun 2026 06:24:27
Skoglund will be a good signing for us from what I've seen/heard, Daniel Cousin. π I honestly don't know much about the other 2, TBH. π€
04 Jun 2026 07:56:12
Sir Walter, not going to lie, I've not seen much of the Swedish lads, just know Skoglund's been mentioned on here before.
Him and Fallenius both linked with the same Swedish publication.
I know Falchener has been named here previously as well, he would be a brilliant signing.
23 year old.
CB.
6ft 4.
Just broke into the Norway side ahead of the World Cup.
Plays for the current Norwegian champions who are currently top of the league.
Fernandez, Falchener, Widell + Graham. πͺ
04 Jun 2026 08:49:21
A lot saying Widell doesn't look too impressive. π€
04 Jun 2026 09:00:23
Funny enough - had posted previously about
Skoglund + Fallenius were two, I think, we will get over the line with all the links we've had to both players.
And they both fit into our transfer profile for players.
04 Jun 2026 09:10:53
Henrik Falchener is a 23-year-old Norwegian professional centre-back who plays for Viking FK in the Eliteserien and the Norway national team. Standing at (1.94) m tall, he is highly regarded for his aerial dominance and set-piece threat. He made his international debut in March 2026 and was officially named in Norway's squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Prior to his time at Viking, he played for Egersunds IK, where he developed into one of the most promising defenders in the country.
Because of his impressive physical profile, growing market value (estimated between EUR3.7M and EUR5.5M), and recent form, he has attracted interest from clubs across Europe.
Looks to be a player with a decent profile if we are interested in signing him.
04 Jun 2026 10:34:36
Would be very much against Fallenius, stats don't read very well (successful dribbles p90, chances created p90, etc).
And the eye test fails even more. Skoglund & Falchener, on the other hand, would be great signings. Just need a keeper, and we will be defensively sound.
04 Jun 2026 12:02:31
John, not one I've seen, but when I see right footer playing on the right, I do tend to worry why he's on that side, and if you say his creative stats aren't great, then I'm not sure what he offers aside from maybe pace and pressing ability. Miss Cerny. π
04 Jun 2026 12:38:17
Why is it a problem with a right footer playing on the right? Maybe he likes to go past the full back and get crosses in (you know the way we were told Antman played). Without Tav we are going to need deliveries from that side, and it won't come from Sterling if he's at right back.
04 Jun 2026 14:08:08
We should be looking at signing Maswanhise, who can play RW and as a striker.
Excellent season with Motherwell and knows the league.
04 Jun 2026 17:31:32
Really would like Falschener, big unit of a boy.
03 Jun 2026 21:31:11
Heard Middlesbrough, Sheffield United and mainz interested in Antman anyone heard or picked up on it?
Agree1
Disagree0
04 Jun 2026 08:40:27
Not seen any clubs linked other than Brugge, but I have read that Rangers will not actively look to sell him. However, should a reasonable offer be made, they would consider it.
04 Jun 2026 15:38:04
Not sure what happened with Antman? Was absolutely brilliant first game with us and then nowt. Clearly has ability, but would be looking to recoup what we paid. Same goes for a few others. Aasgaard the other obvious one.
