john, and anyone else who knows, I've been told by a journo friend the boy graham is very close to a first team slot. and may even play for the first team if, rangers get sufficient space and opportunity to do so, I have a few contacts in football, and a couple know about the boy. in your opinion, is he close to being a first team member, I know bomber rates him quite highly. I also am aware he has identified a couple of other youngsters from abroad?

The boy Graham is a very very good player.

Sorry Tom posted before finished,
The lad plays mainly with under 18s, not a regular in reserves. So would be bit surprised if he played in first team yet, but he will.

Not this season. Far too much riding on it.

No chance of the boy Graham getting near first team. think he's only 16 and there's better players ahead of him.

Tomthumb12 and John25, i can remember when we signed young striker james graham from ross county in the summer there, several months ago now. There was brilliant reviews on him leading up to us signing him from ross county and if my memory serves me correct, did our young midfielder stephen kelly not join ross county on loan, around the same time 🤔

I also remember he was linked heavily with a few english clubs and even had a trial at man utd! That's brilliant news, if both you guys have info on graham about how well he's performing in our rangers unders team and how highly our management team think of him already đź‘Ś

I realise he's still young, but if the young striker is going to be as good as they say/ think he is, then it shouldn't / won't be very long until we see him on the fringes of the rangers first team squad 👍🇬🇧I absolutely love the idea of our young players coming from our academy, through to the first team 👌
That's the pathway for them all, if of course they're good enough đź‘Ś.

The route to bring youngsters in from abroad is almost closed. Think scotland has an agreement in place for january, but after that will be almost impossible to get work permit for youngsters under the new e. u rules.

30 Dec 2020 07:35:31
Hrrewego we won’t be in eu so the rules won’t apply. However it’s what uk government adopt as rules that will matter.

30 Dec 2020 11:53:11
Is there not a young lad from northern Ireland that's doing great regarding goal scoring?

30 Dec 2020 13:08:59
Yes McKee doing well.

30 Dec 2020 15:20:41
Worded it wrong john, new rules with not being in e. u mate đź‘Ť.

30 Dec 2020 17:55:44
I knew what u were trying to say herewego.

30 Dec 2020 20:01:17
Cheers john đź‘Ťlooking like a real tightening of rules around work permits whatever happens mate.

Josh mcpake has signed for Harrogate town on loan till end of season. Another one for me who probably won't make it.

29 Dec 2020 21:12:15
18 months ago this boy looked excellent but seems to have struggled with step up to competitive football during previous loans.

29 Dec 2020 21:18:30
Seen him a few times, tend to agree ingerr.

Yip bankie when he couldn’t get near the Dundee team who were lacking creativity and goals and attacking quality kind of sets alarm bells. It’s definitely not for me to state this as a fact but perhaps his attitude isn’t good enough. He did have the talent, perhaps going to footballs floor shop in harrogate is exactly what he needs to bring him back to realise what he has at rangers. Still young but seems to be down the pecking order when talking about the youngsters coming through now. All the best to the lad.

30 Dec 2020 07:37:17
Ingerrard this lad has a fantastic attitude. Always staying back in training and spent so much time with Defoe despite being at Morton.

30 Dec 2020 13:07:47
I stand corrected John. Just trying to figure out why it’s kind of went pear shaped for him over the last year and a half? Perhaps he’ll come good mate. Good luck to him.

30 Dec 2020 14:32:49
I gerrard we need to remember these guys are 16-17 then go to championship or league one playing men.
It takes time to adjust.

30 Dec 2020 18:40:21
True mate, I just think mckpakes 19 now is he not? He should be making more of an impact by now at ibrox or performing well on loan at a decent club if he’s to have a chance of making the grade here.

McPake has struggled to adapt to the physical side of playing against men. He’s a well thought of lad by our coaching staff. Still hope for him but his family would rather he was wearing a hooped shirt. his younger brother was also watched by us and has not long been released by Motherwell.
