Bears I know it sounded extreme but was there any foundation to claims of listening devices at St Johnstone. It had to come from somewhere. Any bit of dirt these days does. Maybe that's how the Celtics team was being leaked.

It's not reported anywhere but not sure we have many ms media willing to look into it from our side.

2.) 18 Sep 2021 13:07:01
Who cares? And if it is true I don’t have a problem with it and neither should anyone that doesn’t sing songs that we shouldn’t be singing.

3.) 18 Sep 2021 14:12:20
Chunky, why on earth would they install devices, when a simple smart phone dies the job . And there was thousands of people with smart pho, like every punter and ev Steward too

There was never any need for anything else, I could record anyone singing at the game, or indeed anyone talk In the pie queue,

Or just turn up the volume and listen to the Neanderthal faction who attend every away game.

4.) 19 Sep 2021 11:51:25
I hear what you are say lads. If it happens any other club they are idiots, when it happens at Ibrox it's front page news being instigated by the board, in 2 years the a*s*holes chipping at our foundation with a toffee hammer will have Demolished our tough resolve with every antiRangers agency clubbing together to hang us out to dry. Yes it does sound extreme. But coming from N. I. I currently witness daily where nothing of my culture is acceptable.

Bears is there any more info on Connor Goldson not signing on. Confusing why he wouldn't want to give a few quid to the club who has looked after him decently. Think it looks selfish from the outside. Am I wrong in thinking this.

Chunky

1.) 04 Sep 2021 07:54:19
Couldn't agree more, chunky. Maybe the guy thinks he is better than he actually is. He was acrock last season, but as they say, you are only as good as your last game. Hope he does sign though as it shows he cares for the club and is committed to the cause.

2.) 04 Sep 2021 08:26:43
We have picked up plenty of Bosmans over the years leading to other clubs getting nothing. What's the difference with Goldson leaving for nothing? We got Kamara for 50k because he wouldn't sign a new contract with Dundee costing them plenty. I'm sure Salaka's club would've loved him to sign a new contract to get millions but he chose not to. Swings in roundabouts imo.

3.) 04 Sep 2021 08:34:43
Unlike your Gerrard / Clarke post sweep I totally agree with you on this one. We’ve benefited hugely from the Bosman ruling of late. If Goldson has the same performance levels as last season and we win the league then the champions league money will be more beneficial than the money for selling him. I don’t think he is replaceable within our current squad. We know have 12 month to identify a replace within our budget / model.

4.) 04 Sep 2021 09:16:06
I agree with sweep and dado. The champions league money is worth more to the club than the few million goldson would bring us. I also think we have already identified the replacement for goldson and should we get him he will be a bosman. I have been told the player Gerrard wants is the lad from Holland. His contract is up at the end of the season. Goldson I think will end up at a bottom half EPL club and will regret leaving a winning Rangers team.

5.) 04 Sep 2021 09:24:30
Sweep I never thought about it that way 👏.

6.) 04 Sep 2021 10:01:08
Clearly we’re not going to improve terms of the deal offered. So either he agrees to sign or he leaves in the summer. If it’s the latter I think a replacement will be signed in January. Will be interesting to see if the current offer is withdrawn at some point.

7.) 04 Sep 2021 10:20:28
Fare point sweep, can't have it all our own way.

8.) 04 Sep 2021 12:12:27
The only catch to Sweep's argument is we saved Goldson's career when no one else would touch him. We saved, in many ways, his life - maybe there's a touch of loyalty owed by him. Otherwise I agree with Sweep's sentiments. It's like that loser Darren McGregor - a nowhere Cowdenbeath journeyman and Ally gives him the break of his career in his late 20s. So when he gets his dream Hibs move? No mention of Rangers, no thanks to our club, and then even trying to maim us personally when he played us. Some grace and gratitude goes a long way.

9.) 04 Sep 2021 12:23:54
Agree with most on here - unfortunately it's the reality of the game. However, from an optics perspective I would like to see someone else occupy the vice captain role - particularly if like some have said, the contract has been on the table and unsigned for several months now. Of he doesn't see his future here then he shouldn't have the honour of wearing the arm band and leading the team.

10.) 04 Sep 2021 12:52:23
Got to be honest I didn't want to go for nothing. But as others have said if he goes on a free and replace with a free. Then it's win win. Don't think champions league cash matters. Would also think they have same thinking with Arfield and Tav.

11.) 04 Sep 2021 12:54:59
Goldson wasnt particularly loyal to his previous club when he came to us after they had supported him through his heart problems.

12.) 04 Sep 2021 13:04:15
Rfc rb when we signed goldston we were one of four clubs who made offers for him. It could be argued we saved his career we certainly did not safe his life. That was down to his cardiologist
Also Gerrard is on record as saying goldston plays, if he signs great if not what will be will be.

13.) 04 Sep 2021 15:31:40
John, that was metaphorical - football is his life. As for the other three clubs, news to me. May I ask who?

14.) 04 Sep 2021 17:26:38
RFC football is not life a lot more to life than football.

15.) 04 Sep 2021 18:19:11
Cool RFC. I believe Brighton, Norwich us and one other

He says when we signed him in interview he had offers from three other teams in England.

16.) 04 Sep 2021 21:44:17
@John Sorry, yes, knew about Brighton of course. Didn't know about Norwich. Thanks.

I thought we had a forward thinking leadership team I. e. EH and the IBROX suites etc. maybe the team/ management should be in place first. That is the reason we go to Ibrox. We have suffered a few letdowns . In recent times .

Evening Bears, MB hopefully gone. I think there is football in some of the players, why do we need to stop the ball dead. Plenty more chances if we crack the ball when it's still moving. Can't think of anything positive to say. At least we have Butland.

Hi Bears 50/ 50 game for me, at times they looked tidy especially the first half. We got the job done, but back end was squeaking a bit near the end. Fair play to the team and the staff including the manager. You have my support. Keep er lit. Love Thursday football ❤️??.

Morning Bears, Feeling the rubbish is in the air regarding our club. Bisgrove has big business plans for off the pitch issue's I. e. museum, fan engagement, bar etc. Sounds as if he has his head screwed on. Michael Beale has struggled with so many new players coming in at once. Personally I'm in the minority camp, I would give him a little time. I can understand everyone's frustration but he has bitten off too much, being personally involved in signings, not wanting a DOF. With respect I think he looks like a controlling manager as his coaches are lesser known than him. With SG he had big MAC. If Bisgrove brings in a DOF there could be conflict/.

Chunky

1.) 10 Sep 2023 11:27:25
I’d have given him more time as well. I’ll say one thing for him, every signing I’ve seen interviewed said he was a big part of them joining rangers. We’ve given worse manager than beale more time to change things.

2.) 10 Sep 2023 11:28:44
MB is clearly NOT a man manager, he is a training ground coach!
He doesn't seem to motivate anyone, and I would be VERÝ surprised if he has given anyone a bollicking in his life.
There has to be a bit of a fear factor for players to know they might be dropped or fined, if they do not comply with the Managers requirements. WE DO NOT HAVE THAT MENTALITY! anywhere within our club it would seem.
And if I hear 'bitterly disappointed' again, I will not be a happy bunny.

3.) 10 Sep 2023 11:58:34
Tell Michael Beale to leave then. He doesn't run the business he's the manager.

4.) 10 Sep 2023 12:41:58
Don’t know if that works with the modern day player Bar, get what your saying though, Both manager and his assistant probably have to play different roles, I liked Smith and McCoist together, where the manager mainly oversees and makes the decisions holds respect and gives the no 2 a lot of responsibility with the players.
Looking at our bench I don’t see anyone getting animated but that seems to be more common now.

5.) 10 Sep 2023 13:19:31
I said it before when Beale was appointed . We need a strong manager not a coach in charge, A strong manager will hire good coaches but a coach can`t hire a manager to cover his shortcomings . Gerrard had Beale, MacAllister and a real strong coaching staff . Walter had McCoist but he also had Kenny McDowall and Iain Durrant to help with coaching and organising . Beale has brought up his own guys and they may be okay, although it doesn`t look like it just now, but overall the team just looks confused and lacking motivation. We can`t change them at the moment but having someone in charge who can set them up properly and play to our strengths could make all the difference. Anybody who takes the huff because Beale is gone can go in January.

Bears is there anyone else who feels the new players have added a bit of bite back into the midfield again. Big John's minutes look to be under threat. Which I think is excellent for the team and fans as the wages will be earned this season. Excited for the new season to kick off.

1.) 20 Jul 2023 23:23:40
The midfield has needed an addition of legs and most importantly positive passing for a long time. I can’t wait to see Raskin, Cantwell and hopefully Cifu in action together.

2.) 21 Jul 2023 00:42:09
I would not be surprised or disappointed if big John left this window.
He only has a year left and it's looking increasingly unlikely that he will get many minutes. Add to that the contract situation, it makes sense to sell now.

Dessers looks to be a strong player who likes to hold off defenders. Looks good. Can thump a ball.

Evening Bears hope you are enjoying the heat. For what it's worth I think Jon McLaughlin deserves his chance like Sands they gave me a scare against USG but we need a bit of loyalty too. We support a team not just the goalscorers. JM has done little wrong, Sands might come good, let's support the full team. I thought the season was touch and go when I watched the Livingston game. But Tuesday night lifted a lot of doubts. ❤️??.

Bears, I would love to see Warnock just show his face some of the players and directors would soil their selves. He is old school who would scare the part timers away. But the boss has to be the boss and he commands his team. Him with sounness upstairs would drag the light footed approach. They would be passionate as money is not their goal at their age. Also they would take the brake off walking the ball into the net.

Think Matondo is the player to come on and put the wedge in. Decent goal.

Personally I agree with more time as we are out of our depth in CL. We don't have billions like the Saudis. The players that came in were expected to hit the ground running and didn't consistently. We aren't atrocious but lots of mistakes were made. We won't get the Gazzas, Woods and Butchers of today. But we have to let some negativity slide or else we look like celtic did in terry munros year. We are Rangers we set the standards but let's not get petulant insulting staff and players. If the results don't come anyone hiding will be moved on.

Think it's loud in a good way. Very similar to one in bygone days of yore. There is blue stripes also.
Would like to see if a red and blue horizontal stripes would put the mix In. Probably be court case as they own the look lol. Reading a lot of threads about Motherwell/ Palace tops, global takeover by the Masons. This propaganda dung is different level.
