I agree with some of the posts on foster and moshni, but don't judge these players on the last 2 seasons, when we've been playing against teams that play 11 on the line, and the odd 1 off game against a team in a higher league, let's look at the bigger picture here, 2 really decent players, always give 100% good professionals as well, never injured, them 3 go a long way in playing for a club like rangers, let's c what this season brings, playing in a better league, playing against higher standard of players too, teams that want to play football, want to enjoy playing against rangers, trying to win against rangers, then we can talk about who can't step up to the plate!

Op foster is never injured cause he can't move fast enough to cause himself an injury

Foster only looks like a footballer moshni does not even have thet saving grace

again mohsni? a good player, we really have hit the bottom then, he, s a bombscare

Mcgregor & zaliukas would be my first choice at cb.

The right hand side of the team has been our weak spot for the last 2 seasons, it seems only Ally has'nt noticed this. A pacy right back who could defend a bit is a necessity to give the team balance (right mid can drop back to cover if needed). Don't know if Macausland could be the answer, I have not seen enough of the lad, but I do know Foster is not. But why don't we just actually play players in their correct position instead of hoping if we try them out somewhere else we might discover a hidden gem (I am still in shock at Ally's tactical changes in the Ramsdens final after Wallace got injured).

What about alen hutton is he not looking for a club we would get him for nowt as the last time I looked aston villa were trying to offload him no

{Ed039's Note - they turned down an approach from West Brom last week)

Haha youngwinston u need to get a life man! Change the record eh? McCoist hater, get over it mate, we got bet, end of!!

0 0

No No Colin, not an Ally hater, It's just when I see the obvious incompetence of our manger I cannot let it pass. You of course are entitled to your opinion even though I find it a bizarre one. Yeah we got "bet" and I am over the result, but the tactical changes really did defy all logic and unfortunately they are the norm and not the exception.

Hear hear young winston

@8 oh leave him alone he seems happy.

what do you guys think of playing moshni right back? we know he likes to get forward and he is a defender at the end of the day.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed039's Note - Full back is a specialist position, I dont rate Mohsni anyway)

Have you seen foster ed? he is genuinly awful

0 0

{Ed039's Note - I didnt say he wasnt but Mohsni wont be any better at right back)

Who would you start with? and do you see jig playing at cb again?

0 0

{Ed039's Note - I would start with Foster as it stands. I dont see Jig getting in the starting XI at the moment although I am sure Ally will find a place for him)

Faure is not as bad as Foster, and my even improve with the better central defence. The other options are to try McGregor or Smith at RB and play Zaliukas and mohsni in the middle. I know most of you don't rate faure, but he's young, hasn't done anything spectacular but equally he has been regularly rated as a 6 or 7 in the press so that to me is average or better. Foster is way below that. Remember too that players can adapt to new positions, older fans will remember Greig playing all over, Parlane started out as a wing half and so did Jimmy Millar. I think its up to the coaches to get the best out of all the players and look beyond the obvoius at times. Also big DJ was centre half one week and centre forward the next.
just my opinion

Mohsni is a circus act, shudnt be near a gers team, a disaster waiting to happen, every village needs one

0 0

Why would you put Moshni at right back? No point in replacing one bad right in Foster with another bad player. Also why would u want to put Smith at right back when he is a left back or MacGregor who is a centre half. As the ED says its a specialist position and should have a proper right back playing there. U only have to look at how effective Wallace is at left back. That's what we need both wings

0 0

Was broadfoot a right back? no. whittaker? debatable, sasa papac was a great left back and only started to play there at the end of his career so I don't think you can say its a specialist position. moshni is basically a poor mans bougherra and i'm sure he could do a better job than foster.

Gingerger I could do a better job than foster and ime an auld disabled guy

N3 wee bill we better hope ally does not come on these pages or he will maybe try signing big dj lol

had a look at the new home top. can't say i'm too impressed with it, and the blue isn't exactly the right shade. Will need to see it once we are using it.

Ed, if you don't mind could you please put in motion a poll to ask all the 'gers fans who they rate the best centre half now at ibrox, ie. marius zaliukas, darren mcgregor, bilel mohsni, big jig, seb faure, luca gasparotto, or any other etc, cheers ed!

I know this is nothing to do with anything Rangers related but hopefully it gets posted as would like to see some other thoughts.

I see that the S. F. A have announced a friendly against England to be staged a Celtic Park now I don't really care much for Scotland but ever since Lawwell got a seat in the S. F. A Celtic Park has hosted to Cup finals and a Scotland home game vs Ireland. It seems to me he cherry picks the best games for celtic park.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed039's Note - I do care for the national team, and I dont care. Remember Ibrox will host the qualifier vs Georgia as well)

I really do think we need to get over this. what goes on at breeze block mansion and within the sleeze football association is of no concern to me. I think we should be putting all our energy in supporting the team to the "promised" land. lol

Who cares

0 0

Is hampden being put back the way it was or is it being left

0 0

{Ed039's Note - It is being returned to the way it was, the running track is being removed)

How much does so called breeze block mansion hold? and how much does the crumbling Ibrox hold? think that may well be the reason Celtic Park, Scotlands biggest and best football stadium gets the big games. Why have Scotland v England at Ibrox and deny 20000 the chance to see it?

15 Jul 2014 11:30:41
@4 I have to agree with you it is hard to make the case for Ibrox but I think the difference in capacity is 10.000 and not 20,000

0 0

Mo89 when did it become a 70000 capacity stadium??
I'm not arguing the fact it's being played at your park infact it's the sensible choice. so take your my dad's bigger than your dad's argument to your own site.

0 0

Bigcol. sorry. maths not my strong suit. nut Ibrox holds just over 40,000? Celtic Park just over 60,000. Had the same argument last week with Chelsea tour guide when on stadium tour of Stamford Bridge! And for the record I told him Ibrox was a better stadium than Stamford! But not once did I claim Celtic Park holds 70,000. Does annoy me though when comments deriding Celtic Park and all things Celtic appear when surely to god there are bigger things for Rangers to worry about!

0 0

Mo ibrox holds 52000 don't know where you get the 40000. Anyway. if we canny have a wee bit of banter back and forth then what's the point. what we've had to endure of your mob over the last 3years I think you could give us some lee way. yes we have got bigger things to worry about but we should be able to have banter with our "oldest" rivals. so mo you are more than welcome to post on the "most successfull club in Scotland's" site you just have to grow a wee bit thicker skin. lol

Newsflash tmwnn your not going insane -you are insane- your support the Rangers ffs. Now I've been receiving intervention treatment from my wife for years- usually with a cast iron frying pan- to no avail- were all doomed- doomed I tell you!

Lol nbear I don't know why my post were not going up maybe its not such a bad thing cause they might not have passed the ed listening to the mob that kick with the wrong foot telling us we are still guilty I was enjoying in in the room lying back watching the world cup she sugested me moving to the room so as she could watch the soaps lol I recon she wanted me nearer the kitchen so as I was quicker with her cuppas lol

tmwnn and they are meant to be the weaker sex aye right! If you are anything like me and someone has forced a sherbert down your neck the ED has this extraordinary ability of knowing when you are slightly Brahms and Liszt. I recently was mildly irked by some of our cousins from the East pointing out we were still guilty inspite of Tax tribunuals and appeals.
I woke up the next morning thinking it was probably better if I hadn't posted that and the ED did what he generally does and saved my blushes.
