1/ win trophies if they all play to their potential
2/ better fee. Nobody is going to pay good money for someone who is underperforming
3/ also makes the club an attractive proposition for potential targets if they can see there is a pathway to a better standard of league.

@MPH I'm not complaining about Morelos at his best and becoming more valuable, I'm just irked that he's spent 3 years telling us he wants to leave and so many fans have applauded him for that. Compare that with Brian Laudrup back in the day who said he wanted to leave and was greeted, if not with disgust, but certainly disappointment and heartbreak. I know it's a different world, but some fans seem too eager these days to support the ambitions of individual players rather than the club's interests as a whole. And, whatever we think of him, we're better with him in the team than not.

A lot has changed since the days of Brian Laudrup. In those days and despite playing in a poor league, Rangers had a genuine chance of winning in Europe and there wasn't the same degree of hatred for the Club. We were also paying wages that were as good as anywhere. In the years since The SPFL has deteriorated, thanks mainly to those in charge. Scotland, with its National Government has also a significantly different attitude towards our club. I am just delighted that we have so many quality players that have the ability and the ambition to play in a better league. I for one would prefer to see Rangers play in a better league as well!

We signed the guy for a cheap fee, he has been our best striker in past 10 years, always gives his all. If he wants a move to a bigger club then fair play - has been an amazing signing. If players have any ambition they shouldn’t want to play in Scotland their whole career!

Morelos has came in for very little money and done an excellent job. He has never hid the fact that he wanted to use Rangers as a stepping stone to move onto a top 5 league club which I am actually fine with. He has come to us played well and scored a lot of important goals for us especially in Europe. He has became our top European scorer. When he leaves he deserves the blessings of every supporter. The only difference I see between Morelos and the rest is Morelos has never hid his desire to move on. Every player other than probably Jack Davis, Arfield and McGregor would jump ship in a heart beat if they were getting the same interest as Morelos does.
Let's face it loyalty in the game seems to be a thing of the past these days. Our league won't attract top talent that will stay and personally I'm fine with that. I have got to see some truly amazing worldclass players because of this. The business model we are trying to achieve is based on bringing young players in developing them and selling on for big money and bringing in the best older players that are looking to see out their career.
