Todd Cantwell, interest from PSV is more than just interest, they have offered him a fantastic contract. Have been tracking Cantwell for some time since Noni Madueke played U-21 games with him. This is a huge knock to our chances as it felt this was deal done.
Josh Onomah - Talks have progressed to bring in this month, likely to be a fee of around £1m. Player is eager to join, Fulham had option of extending deal by 1 year.
Dion Sanderson - Again talks have moved along quickly here, player has agreed a deal with Rangers to move.
Tom Davies - No interest for this window, seen as summer target, Beale has spoken with him and negotiations have progressed slowly, this is seen as deal that will only happen post season, Everton are also insistent he will not leave this window.
Raskin - Not a Beale target, purely a scouting Dept target, not signing.

Maybe we should wait and see who, if anyone, comes in. Although a rumour site it can be a source of frustration reading 'insider information' that a player has agreed terms or has signed only for it to be wishful thinking.

MB pretty much said in the press conference last week that players are signed and that it’s final details that need to be completed. I doubt he would mention that if no one was coming in. Cantwell has to be a certainty otherwise he wouldn’t have spoken about him like he did.

Patience . Didn’t Beale say his part in the negotiations was done, that’s the selling of the club and where he sees the player fitting in. He will indicate financial side of things only. A player may say he wants to sign and be a part of our club, however, the agent then slows the whole process down and tries to get his client the best deal possible and this includes putting it about what we are offering to other interested clubs. The whole thing takes time. esp with an up and coming Bosman. Wilson will have a budget and the power is with the player.

Nothing’s changed. There’s no way PSV will attempt to replace Gapko with Todd Cantwell - Their fans would riot. I also have my doubts that Cantwell is good enough for us after what I’ve read from Norwich fans.
My hope is we look elsewhere.

Todd Cantwell hasn’t scored or created a goal since 2021. The idea that he’s going to PSV to replace Gapko is outrageous. PSV have about £40m to drop on a proper replacement.

I know a couple staff at Swansea and asked about the lad whitaker and they speak quite highly of him. He has went out on loan and did well. He has scored some goals. They haven't played him since recall because of the rules regarding how many clubs can feature for in a season. The offer for him was nowhere near, more insulting than serious. Wouldn't say if it was us though.

Beale made a mistake basically admitting who the targets were AND saying he had spoken to potential transfer targets, making it obvious that we are only after players who can speak to clubs without permission.
Not very classy for a Rangers manager and very naive.

McAlpine, the alternative is that Beale was simply highlighting the players he wanted and was confident that from his perspective they would come if the right deal was made. No longer in his hands, now with Wilson or further up the tree in terms of funding the deals.

Has Beale actually said that Davies and Cantwell were targets. I know he has made comments on how good the 2 players are but I've not heard any interview with him saying we are in for any specific player.
