If Alfie is available for free we have to remember he is our 10th ever leading scorer with most European goals and is only 27. Surely makes more sense than Shankland taking into account likely fee. John any info if Beale had fallen out or mistreated Kent and Morelos last season?

Beale had a few falling outs with a few players, Kent was one.

There was a major falling out right at the start of pre season that left key players in the squad raging with Beale.

Alfie? You’ve got to be joking, stop living in the past. He downed tools last year and cost us more often than not with his attitude and sendings off. Would probably take about 6 months to get him fit anyway. He had his time and blew it. He’ll drift off into obscurity like so many who think they are bigger than rangers.

Yes thumb if you asked me at end of last season I would have said the same however after watching the replacements in Lammers and our injured list I think we would have been a better starting 11 with them. Also I think they both would have flourished under clement and let’s be honest Fat Ange was no mug especially domestically and tactically bull rushed us. But onwards and upwards time to move forward even though I loved Alfie.

Really frustrates me sometimes that our fans just can't seem to let old players go, Kent and Alfie are gone and they are gone for a reason, they both chucked it. We won one league title in 5 attempts with the 2 of them here, so why on earth would we bring any of them back to help with a title charge?

Morelos was crap for ages, not a chance I want to see him back. I'd say pay for Shankland and get a few seasons at least of regular goals. Something we haven't had for a while from a striker.

The player worst treated was Kamara. It got so bad that the player was advised by his agent not to engage at all with Beale which led to Rangers almost withholding wages due to not showing up to training.

Borna, ultimately Kamara was employed by Rangers and paid very well for it. Beale might have been awful but Kamara as a professional can't just choose not to play or not to come to training. These players are paid to be fit and available at any time they are needed regardless if they like the manager or not. Kamara was another that is a quality player but gave his all in about 25% of games.

Falling out is irrelevant as players get paid a lot of money to be professional and give 100% regardless of whether they agree with or like the manager and that applies to any football club.
Loved Alfredo but wouldn’t have him back as he appeared to down tools in the end.
I’d be open minded for Kent coming back but prefer to send a message out to other players that they should think twice before leaving and move forward without him.

Alfie should be nowhere near a Rangers shirt, even a fully fit sharp Alfie ( more chance of winning lottery ) would cost us the title with a red card, would rather play with a Under 16 striker till end of season.

Why are folk so against shankland? Scores goals for fun in all the comps we're in pretty much. Got a coule in Europe as well. Far better than anyone we've got, he knows the league well so won't need time to settle. He's in his prime and wouldn't cost a ridiculous amount, no more than lammers or dessers, bith of which he's far better than.
