From official club twitter account

'Rangers are aware of an alleged incident which is subject to an internal investigation. We will make no further comment. '

1.) 14 Feb 2021 20:50:00
Oh dear, the dark side will have a field day. Bloody pair of idiots if true. I predict a 20 point deduction.

2.) 14 Feb 2021 21:00:02
And why would there be a deduction of points.

3.) 14 Feb 2021 21:06:26
Would be the same punishment as jones and edmondson recieved.

4.) 14 Feb 2021 21:06:30
I think he's being sarcastic John. I thought you of all people would have picked up on that mate?

5.) 14 Feb 2021 21:08:40
Once again all we can ask is the club be professional about it. Deal with them hard n fast punish them then we move on 👍very very silly young boys if true.

6.) 14 Feb 2021 21:13:30
If this is true they are worse than Jones and Edmonson. They seen what happened to they two and yet still took the chance to party.

7.) 14 Feb 2021 21:20:58
Then we move on Herewego55? I hope we can mate, but the Scottish government have already stated that elite sports (especially football) was on their last warning.
I hope you're right mate and we can deal with it and move on, but it might be taken out of our hands.

8.) 14 Feb 2021 21:22:15
7 game ban and 4 weeks wages will be dished out by the club.

9.) 14 Feb 2021 21:39:33
Who ever if found guilty must be treated the same as jones and edmondson.

10.) 14 Feb 2021 21:43:26
Absolute morons if this is true. They’re in a privileged position so I don’t understand this stupidity! Could have serious implications for the club because of their actions. They’ve let the club, manager and teammates down here.

11.) 14 Feb 2021 21:48:51
IF it has happened gross misconduct and get them to f**k! 😡No f*****g second chances! IF it is true i don't want them anywhere near or associated with glasgow rangers football club and that goes for any of our players! 😡.

12.) 14 Feb 2021 21:49:58
Seen reports it could possibly be 4 players. What a f**king mess.

13.) 14 Feb 2021 21:52:25
Yip, sarcasm is my friend.

14.) 14 Feb 2021 21:54:07
Thought you would have picked uo on that John, being a former captain of industry and all that 😂.

15.) 14 Feb 2021 22:17:40
It’s now on sky sports with club making a statement.

16.) 14 Feb 2021 22:19:32
Some sorurces suggesting these 2 players plus 2 others as yet unnamed. If true then fines suspensions and onto the transfer list. No tollerance of this behaviour and let them explain their selfish behaviour to NHS staff and bereaved families. don't care about their immaturity they know its wrong and don't give a toss about everyone else.

17.) 14 Feb 2021 22:31:57
Get what your saying bmg, and I'm absolutely raging at the stupidity of it too. Whst else can the club do though except punish them?

18.) 14 Feb 2021 22:54:50
The club will fine them mate, and deal with them straight away. That I have no doubt of.
My fear is what else could follow?
Jason Leitch has already stated that football was on its last warning, and If they feel it necessary to pull the plug on elite sports privileges, they will.
What must Steven Gerrard be thinking? He must be raging?

19.) 15 Feb 2021 06:12:37
If true it’s worse than jones and edmundson as the players saw how they were treated so they would be aware of any consequences, get them out 🤬😡.

20.) 15 Feb 2021 06:56:53
If true (IF) then any idiots involved will be severely punished by the club and then the SFA.

However, let's put it in context, this was done in their own time and no further contact has been made with their teammates.

Another club 🤔 organised a trip abroad with photos emerging of no social distancing whilst having a beer or two, with the rule breaking being admitted twice by the manager and assistant. This club also had two players test positive after this trip and 16 people had to self-isolate after FURTHER protocol breaches.

That club's punishment? None.

There's no way that Rangers can be punished for this.

21.) 15 Feb 2021 06:59:49
6counties, you obviously don’t understand the concept of punishment, if you continue handing out the same tariffs then every player knows what he’s got coming before he does it,

The punishment MUST be on a steep upward curve or we will have no football, anyone who thinks they should “ get the same “ isn’t grasping this.

22.) 15 Feb 2021 09:07:50
Correct Tom Thumb.

23.) 15 Feb 2021 09:10:21
Here here TT12 👍You've hit the nail exactly on the head 👌.

24.) 15 Feb 2021 09:10:32
Could be a red card from First Minister.

25.) 15 Feb 2021 09:14:23
Blue at 55 and do u think these players intended to notify rangers they were at a gathering against C.V. rules.

26.) 15 Feb 2021 09:50:35
Yip John25,if these players allegedly went to the party and obviously broke CV protocol rules and didn't get caught, they would have kept stum, thus putting all our other players at risk 😡 Totally irresponsible and billy bigtime big headedness, thinking as players they can do what they like and get away with it! No chance and out the door with anyone that's involved! 😡.

27.) 15 Feb 2021 10:01:04
10 games minimum I was raging last time jones and edmundson were giving harsher punishments than a guy who flew to different country came back n played for his team. I agree this time we have to snd the sfa have to hit these 2 players hard and show that it eont be tolerated. I think at least 10 poss 12 games and a massive club fine, heaviest legally possible.

28.) 15 Feb 2021 10:02:15
John of course they weren't going to. As I said, IF it's true, the players will be severely punished by the club and the SFA.

Just as any other C.V. rule breakers have been. Well most of them anyway. 🤔.

29.) 15 Feb 2021 11:21:36
Have heard it was Patterson and bassey at basseys house with their partners, not sure how correct that info is but no matter were they where they know the rules and they have seen what has happened to 2 of their team mates, so there is no excuse for their actions I full expect the gaffer to hit them hard with fines and exclude them from the first team with the possibility of them never playing for us again, then we will ha e to wait and see what the sfa want to dish out as I have no doubt they will be rubbing their hands awaiting the opportunity to do so.

30.) 15 Feb 2021 11:44:29
How stupid can these players get all they have two to do is look at what's happend to jones and edmudson
We are on brink of winning the leauge yet the seem to thinking partying before we do is a good idea pure stupidy from them.
Gerrard will be raging with them and has every right to be players have let the club and Gerrard down massively.

31.) 15 Feb 2021 12:49:19
No matter who it is, they should be suspended for 1 month, no pay.

32.) 15 Feb 2021 13:05:18
All over sky now.

33.) 15 Feb 2021 13:39:10
Awe naw Alfie will get a 5game ban because of those 2morons.

34.) 15 Feb 2021 14:38:21
should be no excuse or exception at all look what's at stake here these players have took the piss and made a complete mockery of all protocols and systems put in place total foolishness and selfishness if true, all rumored and speculation at the moment, just worried that so called powers at be will now want to make an example of the team cause as stated we Spfl teams where on our last chance.

35.) 15 Feb 2021 15:48:59
Tomthumb12 if they are suspended then sold off like jones and edmondson will be what is worse than that. Never mind your idea.

36.) 15 Feb 2021 16:07:32
Yeah heard Bassey, Paterson and 2 youth players. 4 absolute ****ers tbh. Ironically season was curtailed last season after celtic had played 29 and us 28 or maybe 28 and 27 so any shut down of league would happen at the same moment of last season.
Anyway fully expect all players to get lengthy bans and club to fine them all their wages while they are banned or whatever is the maximum they are allowed by PFA.

37.) 15 Feb 2021 18:14:44
These guys must be braindead! Given what has happened to the previous clowns that broke the rules Paterson and Bassey have to be total morons! Did they really believe that they wouldn't be found out? Paterson had a real future at Rangers, to put this in jeopardy is beyond belief. Personally I would ban them until the end of the season and give them a fine equivalent to 3 months wages + whatever we are fined by the SFA.

38.) 15 Feb 2021 18:15:36
I'm sure some of you are saints but I don't know a single person that hasn't broken rules by visiting someone else during this. The rate of coronavuris in footballers is significantly lower than the general population and these privileged players actually have tighter restrictions than the rest of us. Punish them by all means but let's not overreact.

39.) 15 Feb 2021 18:30:50
Scotty maximum fine is two weeks per offence.

40.) 16 Feb 2021 00:14:14
Huey, we don't play for Rangers, in a " elite sports bubble "

6c, aye ok mate.

41.) 16 Feb 2021 12:18:25
I find it incredible that other people (prob all of us on here) have broke the rules and want them stoned to death by sounds of things. If your only raging because they are in a "sporting bubble" that's half the problem. How many on here have kids around that age, I'll bet none of them have followed the rules. Stupid stupid boys who have made a mistake and will be heavily punished, no need for the withchunt at all.

42.) 16 Feb 2021 18:22:08
Stupid boys, who are very well paid and educated every day about the absolute seriousness of the situation, and how conceivable finishes football and risks Rangers title aspirations

Aye right you are mate,

43.) 16 Feb 2021 20:07:17
Plenty of other instances, foden and Greenwood sneaking girls into hotel on england duty, grealish going to a party, leaving steaming and crashing his car, kyle walkers been caught 3 or 4 times hosting parties, griffiths had a party there was no punishment, frimpong flew a hooker over from states to stay with him n played bolingoli flew to a different country didn't tell club and came back and played. Weird none of them got sacked eh? Or got football stopped. Like I said tom silly silly boys and they deserve to be punished, but you've been open about flouting the rules yourself. Did you phone all the bosses of the folk in your house demanding them to sack them? if you didn't your a hypocrite.

44.) 17 Feb 2021 09:50:46
Forget any other club's players and concentrate on the club we support and the irresponsible, idiotic behaviour of OUR players 😡.

14 Dec 2016 13:17:49
Reports of the impending collapse of Ibrox Stadium have been greatly exaggerated. Quelle surprise!

Cuillin72

1.) 14 Dec 2016 17:48:33
A red top rag of a newspaper is stoking the fire with all this cr*p about hard hats.

I wish Rangers would just come out with a short statement giving the true facts to stick two fingers up at all the Rangers haters.

2.) 14 Dec 2016 18:12:34
Not an original bone in their bodies.

We did the hard hat joke a while back at Parkhead after a cup game against ICT was postponed because part of their roof fell off.

3.) 14 Dec 2016 18:17:58
if i'm going to a game i like yourself would like a statement, if i'm not mistaken it happened last yr when you were playing at ibrox, maybe that's where the story originates from, have you read something about it Cullin as i would be interested in your info plz.

4.) 14 Dec 2016 18:55:50
Bhoywonder it's worrying your support more as Ibrox is sold out most weeks.

Best advice, if it's making you a little precious don't go.

5.) 14 Dec 2016 19:05:27
why am i worried your sold out PB? makes no difference to me, but a story that's went on for yrs that no one has addressed worries me. i don't go to old firm games as they bring out the muppet element of the support and i tend to stay away from all that bull tbh . honestly think if there's nothing to it why not release a statement to say so, would that not be the best thing?

6.) 14 Dec 2016 21:50:42
There was an incident last season, where some 'debris' was shown hanging off during a live game. Ibrox received a safety certificate for the current season. If there is to be safety netting installed, this would be as a precautionary measure. This is a lot different to stating that the stadium is 'unsafe'. As stated before, the stadium would not be allowed to host any games if deemed unsafe, that should be common sense. Someone, somewhere has made the decision that games are allowed to be held at Ibrox.

7.) 14 Dec 2016 22:29:22
5 star UEFA rated stadium. Might be needing some tlc but it's built of solid construction not rattled up like an unfinished meccano set.

8.) 15 Dec 2016 09:12:21
Listen guys you are all taking this stadium issue the wrong way. Celtic fans are not used to such luxuries as covered stadiums. Was not that long ago Parkhead has severely limited covers of any description. In fact their chairman at the time said his supporters preferred to stand in the wind and rain. As most of their supporters are paralysed from the neck up they did not seem to notice. So to summarise the issue they are still unsure of the concept of covered areas at football stadiums and don't know how to react.

9.) 15 Dec 2016 16:21:22
The rain and wind was their idea of a wash and dry, pmsl.

10.) 16 Dec 2016 10:38:42
Must be difficult for the Eastenders when their stadium was most likely built with Glasgow District council 'left overs'

11.) 16 Dec 2016 13:36:05
We all know the district council wear green lol.

12.) 16 Dec 2016 19:20:41
Left overs, now there's a pun Tomusa, something your club and the rest of the premiership are to Celtic, our left overs. Our Stadium is in fine nick thanks mate. When you look at both, Celtic Park is vibrant and Glowing, like our Club. Ibrox looks like a run down auld tenement block in the 1950s, manky lookin, depressing, needs knockin down. Our Club thrives in your Clubs lies.

13.) 16 Dec 2016 08:17:14
Breezeblock boulevard was without doubt thrown up and you can visually see that when you're inside the place! Everyone and their granny knows it was built far too fast! By far ibrox stadium was built with MUCH better quality than celtic park! Granted our stadium needs renovated but like the OP said our stadium construction is far superior to theirs and nobody will convince me otherwise!

14.) 19 Dec 2016 10:22:10
My stadiums better than your stadium and my dad can also batter your dad pmsl.

We just weren't good enough in the final third tonight. They looked far more dangerous. Mc Coist moaning all night about the counter attack positioning. Anyway, bad as it seems, it might not be the worst thing to happen, considering the walking wounded we have. Equal amount of games with Celtic now, unless one of us doesn't make final.

Cuillin72

1.) 14 Mar 2024 20:33:07
Completely agree,
Disappointing tonight but when I wake up tomorrow I’ll be thinking it as a blessing in disguise,
Liverpool look unstoppable anyway.

2.) 14 Mar 2024 21:16:56
Mccoist was right.

3.) 14 Mar 2024 21:11:37
Not unstoppable, freaking terrifying ?.

4.) 15 Mar 2024 12:01:39
Ally was right, they could've driven three buses through our defence at times.

5.) 15 Mar 2024 12:42:00
Naw seeker, don't buy that, couldn't get a bus along PRW last night??.

6.) 15 Mar 2024 17:18:12
Fork ?.

Beale confirmed as new Sunderland manager. Good luck Sunderland, I think you will need it. Fair play to Beale though, he will have another bumper compensation package coming his way soon.

Cuillin72

1.) 18 Dec 2023 22:33:30
I will wish Mb luck I don't think any manager comes in to make the team worse than he inherited, between him and his staff it just didn't work out the way we all hoped at the beginning when we most of us hailed him a good choice after his time with SG as manager. Hope he makes a go of it and if he does want to take any players he can pay the going rates like anyone else.

26 Feb 2023 18:07:39
One thing for sure, no EPL clubs will be snapping up many of those players on pitch today. 3 scrappy goals, not a great watch.

Cuillin72

1.) 26 Feb 2023 19:51:19
I had Raskin in my starting 11,
However was happy to go with the 11 picked to start,
It was obvious just about the time that they scored the first that the goal was coming,
It was obvious we were loosing it in the midfield and a change was required before they get the second which makes it very difficult for us,
If a fit Raskin and Jack start the match we lift the trophy today in my opinion,
I’m not sure though if they had 90 minutes in there legs,
I really like Raskin though and think the immediate future looks brighter with him running the midfield after he gets up to speed.

01 Jan 2023 18:18:34
RIP Frank McGarvey. Must have been a cracking player to go to Liverpool, when he did. Didn't work out but he was a fine player for the Celtic of the early 80s.

Cuillin72

1.) 01 Jan 2023 18:55:03
Yes RIP Frank
Met him thru business in the late 90s.
Used to have a bit of banter with him about the football.
Sad news condolences to his family.

Star, point is he doesn't need the leg up, Rangers is not an attractive move for him as this stage of his career, hence why he went back to Ajax.

Next one already pencilled in for 05/10/25. Scottish football won't have a say on when it is held, up to them to reschedule around it. Seemingly clubs had agreed to swap venue but weren't allowed.

Bennet won't have a say if he has stepped down with immediate effect, he will no longer be a board member.
