I’m led to believe (my brother works as an intermediary and has lots of dealings with Scottish and UK based clubs) any further signings this month are unlikely unless further sales can be made to fund this. This is partly down FFP and the high expenditure in the summer.

The club had a move lined up for Dowell prior to his injury. He was set for a move to Birmingham however his injury has put a spanner in the works on that one hence why they are now signing Andre Dozzell on loan from QPR.

The club are open to a move for Yilmaz so long as it’s a loan with or obligation (£4m) or permanent for £3.5m this window. There was interest from Gala and Verona however both clubs are only wanting and option to buy.

Dessers likewise was lined up for a move to Holland however injuries to Roofe have scuppered this.

Club are still prepared to react if the right deal becomes available.

The club didn’t foresee the turnaround in fortunes in December therefore most the planning was done with a view to the summer window.

The Scottish fa doesn't use ffp regulations.

Fair enough, this does make sense.

Rfc why does Clement say nothing like that then?

Sounds like nonsense! Our net spend was almost zero last window, and we were never going to sell Dessers based solely on the fitness of Roofe that’s the craziest thing I’ve heard on here in ages ?.

We didn't have high expenditure in summer with the out going we had? there's no FFFP in Scotland but uefa do have it but were no where near it. They allow you to lose 60mill euros over 3 years. There is the squad rule that squad capped at 80% of revenue on wages etc.

I doubt a move for dessers would be based on if roofe fit or not cause usually only fit for one maybe two games at best.

High expenditure in the summer? FFP is always done over 3 seasons not one and we have done well ie player sales and Euro money you know since we are the only Scottish team getting co efficient for the league. Also what was spent in the summer was mainly recouped in transfers out.

Another one bites the dust!

You'll need to do better than that to pull the wool over anyone's eyes on this forum RFC8673. ?.

When people do actually post stuff with bit of context and truth people will always call them out because you get posts like RFC8673 where it's just dross and blatant made up BS and lies.

I'm certainly no expert, but we were one of a number of clubs added to UEFAs watchlist in the 22-23 season - if I recall, we breached the regulations, but we were within the extended parameters introduced due to the impact of C.V. on revenue.

The C.V. exemption has now been removed, so would guess we're skirting pretty close to the line.

Was our net spend not something like £3million after money brought in? I'm not sure we can be anywhere near the ffp on that basis, but we were on the list for something not long ago again no idea how due to Patterson, bassey, CL money, Europa run. and Europa group cash all made, that's not taking into account season tickets or merchandise.

But there was only a 3m difference with the huge spend and what was brought in during the summer. That gap was covered by European qualification. The fee for Yilmaz I'm hearing is we are looking for a bit higher. There is money there to spend and will be used with at least 2 players coming in this month.

Agree go for maybe if we get a forward or two in that would possibly mean Dessers could be moved, loan more realistic.

With Danilo out until the end of the season and Roofe only fit for 20 minutes at a time there was no way we were getting rid of Dessers even if we sign another striker . We had knowledgeable posters on here saying we had bid £8million for a player so that hardly sounds as if we need to sell Yilmaz before we can buy. The wage bill probably needs to come down but that will be addressed in the summer once we see what we have achieved this season.

Wlsgers4ever I still don’t think we bid 8 million for a player Copland said that was fantasy land and other regular posters just said we had a bid turned down no mention of how much.
