Some of the bitterness and terminology used on here over the last 24-48 hours has been nothing short of disgraceful.
You are needing to have a long hard look at yourselves.
Quick to vilify the UB and others that represent Rangers for any misdemeanours at any opportunity whilst holding yourselves up as the perfect bastions of a football supporter.
And then when a decision is made that you don't like? You fall into the same trap and vilify the man ( Gerrard ) who led us to 55. The most important title in our clubs recent history.
Snake?
Disgusting?
Turncoat?
Disgrace?
No, for me that's the people who have used these and other words to describe Gerrard.
The same fans greeting about his departure who also questioned his tactics, subs, formation - why would you want him to stay? Shouldn't you be glad he's away?
Would you have showed him the same loyalty you expect if results hadn't went our way?
And some are already falling into the well-known excuse of blaming him for the clubs future ills ( at least it isn't Morelos or Tavs fault! ) .
We all know football can be emotional but Gerrard is one of many who have been privileged to manage the Famous.
We'll have another along soon.
And in the words of the late, great Bill Struth which some on here need to take on board and reflect on after their conduct:-
"Never fear, inevitably we shall have our years of failure and when they arrive, we must reveal tolerance and sanity. No matter the days of anxiety that come our way, we shall emerge stronger because of the trials to be overcome".

Most of what I have read is disappointment MPH people sad he’s left and at a crucial stage of the season and worried about where the club goes etc

Not sure why your having a rant
Especially today when we should be worried about having no manager and back room staff etc

maybe it’s just your way of dealing with it
the way some others deal with it I. There own way

I criticised some of his tactics and management at times but I’m still saddened and disappointed he left
He brought a lot of good not just for Rangers but for the Scottish game the public profile of Scottish football
Think most people are actually saddened and disappointed
And it’s a sad day for the club losing him

Now we try pick ourselves up and move forward and try get the right team in place to move us forward again and build on what Gerrard has done

I wish him nothing but success and welcome back at Ibrox in the future.

Exactly. So many adults spat their dummies out. It's always the same, folk get upset someone good might be going. Heard the same language on Goldson, Tav, Alfie, Kent when they have been linked with moves. It's football, its business, its people careers. If everyone stuck to this imaginary "loyalty" then nobody would ever sign anyone.

Can certainly call him flakey mph, I remember an interview he did about the time rodgers left Celtic in which he stated he wouldn't leave the club halfway through the season in the lurch. Lo and behold he's left us halfway through a season in the lurch.

Not sure if my post went as phone glitched so I will reply again.

Everyone deals with things differently MPH!

People are angry including myself. Some wear their heart on their sleeve, I do. They are entitled to vent their anger. As you are entitled to look more calmly and be thankful.

I’m angry I will get it out my system and move on. He has hurt so many of us in doing it the way he has.

You’re a great poster MPH. I love your stuff but let people deal with it in their own way. This site is great for people letting out their anger.

GIO is the man.

Mrpotatohead, I think you have to take into consideration peoples gut reaction to things like this. We all say/ think things or try to convince ourselves that he wasnt the right man. He won the 55th and I think everyone thanks him for that. Personally its not about him leaving, am happy for him. Its the manner and how quickly he left. This was the first real offer of a job and he went from large club to a large league. Am not a happy bunny but I will forget about how he left very soon and remember him winning the league.

Hi spud mate,

Got half day off due to structural alterations on site.

Good post my friend, here's the however bit tho.

Yes some of us are expressing anger at Stevie leaving mid season and some comments are a bit over the top and should be put down to human nature and not downright malice .

You yourself have succumbed to the forces of nature by showing your anger at other peoples natural instinctive reactions.

Perhaps you should look at your comments and appreciate it is difficult to overcome natural feelings that is inherent in us all including yourself and show some forgiveness to others.

Other than that, as I said, good post mate.

Agree MPH, utterly embarrassing some of the comments. Like I’ve said before, we’re lucky to have had Gerrard manage our club, the alternatives could have been a lot worse!

MPH I’m one who isn’t pleased with this but only on his timing if he’d left at end of last season or end of this season I’d be fine with that but to leave us with ten days till a semi final with no manager or back room staff is very disappointing.

Load of rubbish mph you can’t tell people how to feel I’m disappointed and I’ll say what ever I feel appropriate, some folk say we’re lucky to have had him as manager 😲 I say he is lucky to have been given a chance by the world famous Glasgow Rangers! Some on here seem like bigger Gerrard fans than Rangers fans!

SG has certainly left Rangers in the lurch. Unless this has been in the pipe line for sometime and the board knew about it and have an new manager in place, I hope so, I also believe that he will try and sign Ryan Kent and Glen Kamara in January, But the board must stand firm and demand top $. I don’t have any ill feelings towards SG But the way it’s worked out leaves a bad taste in my mouth,
Onwards and Upwards 🇦🇺🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⚽️👍.

MPH, good post, I personally just think we move on now ASAP, and look ahead, Steven Gerrard is now history, and I thank him for last season s title, we should be winning so much more though, so who knows, this new Management Team may be just what we need now.
