Never seen the game today, away on holiday. How was it? Sounds like the team played well enough against a stuffy aberdeen side and our new defender strolled it?

1.) 01 Aug 2020 15:11:15
Alloa ger. Team played no bad Still trying to walk the ball into goal New guy had a stroll Enjoy yur hole a day 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇦🇺⚽️😎👍.

2.) 01 Aug 2020 15:19:35
Pretty much it alloager.

3.) 01 Aug 2020 16:05:52
Cunny we had more shots from outside the box in that game and than the full of last season you point utter BS about walking the ball into the net.

29 Jul 2020 21:22:39
Do you think the lack of crowd will hinder us and them this season? Different mentality required for players that feed off the crowd, Brown springs to mind.

1.) 29 Jul 2020 21:26:12
May hopefully help us. If were at home and not winning by half time and definitely by 60mins the atmosphere can sometimes become toxic and the players then become nervous amd cagey as too scared to make a mistake.

2.) 29 Jul 2020 21:37:52
Agree Paul, sometimes despite being the best fans in the world we lack a wee bit of patience. Some unusual results in other leagues that finished their season with no crowds so fingers crossed It affects them.
I hope we look at this first fixture, which in my opinion is the second hardest fixture we play, and take the attitude of going out and laying a marker down!

3.) 29 Jul 2020 22:12:36
Paul86, that works both ways and Porkheid can also be a tough place for them if all is not going well✌️.

4.) 29 Jul 2020 22:53:48
Not to mention the stench of 50,000 unwashed crammed together Yately 😷 how off putting.

5.) 30 Jul 2020 06:46:22
I think it will help us given that our fans give the team about 30 seconds to get a goal then its just negativity spewing from the stands.

Also on the flip side of that half of our players haven't got the bottle to play at a packed Ibrox when the pressure is coming from the stands so all in all good for us i reckon.

6.) 30 Jul 2020 09:52:39
agreed, our fans can be the best in the world when things are going well. they can be the 12th man for the opposition if things aren't going so well. teams know that and that's why they wait until 2nd half until they make genuine moves forward.

7.) 30 Jul 2020 09:54:16
Think it will only help up. Our side is the stronger on paper than everyside in the league bar Celtic. Therefore without crown influence you can assume we should be stronger on the pitch. I know its not quite as simple as that and that it obv would be the same for celtic. Especially in some of these away games on poor pitches where other teams get a lift off playing infront out fans.

I’ve read enough about Alfredo and he splits opinions, how about some positives from today. Another solid display by Goldson and well done Aribo, another excellent all round performance and what a goal! 2 brilliantly worked goals the last 2 games, still a young guy and he’s turning it around big time. Long may it continue!

1.) 25 Jul 2020 21:38:25
AlloaGer, there's 4 of us best pals who go to watch the rangers together everywhere mate. One of my pals said the other 3 of us before we played a pre season game, that joe aribo would be the rangers player of the year this season coming and the scottish player's player of the year this coming season. He's always said aribo has amazing skills and if he kicks on the way he thinks, will make rangers a helluva lot of dough in the transfer market years down the line! I agree aribo is very skillful and i'm now beginning to think one of my mates could have this spot on in regards to how good aribo will/ could be, this season for rangers! 👌👍.

2.) 25 Jul 2020 21:44:00
Spot on AlloaGer.

3.) 25 Jul 2020 21:44:47
He's a talented lad aribo. Thought the team played quite well 2nd half.

4.) 25 Jul 2020 22:54:42
Agree AlloaGer Goldson has looked solid and Aribo has been the business. I don’t get the criticism of Kamara of some posters on here thought he has been class.

16 Jul 2020 21:31:51
To all the boys on here who’ve been saying “Gerrard will never play McCrorie as a centre half! ”, A big dose of humble pie please 🤣
On a serious note, some decent performances throughout the team against decent opposition. Early days I know but promising.

1.) 16 Jul 2020 21:47:27
McCrorie's a centre mid all day every day imo. That was a great performance. Though Jones and Barker caused havoc when they came on. Defended well and the goalie looked pretty solid. I know it is only a friendly but some very promising signs.

2.) 16 Jul 2020 22:01:44
He had no choice to play him there.

He will not play there once in the league
And remember it was a friendly.

3.) 16 Jul 2020 22:04:27
Thought jones was mediocre and what a sitter he missed. Barker played well enough.

4.) 16 Jul 2020 22:22:31
Flourishes in the midfield, has great defensive attributes that suits the team.

5.) 16 Jul 2020 22:23:08
Jones and Barker till he went off we’re good out balls.

6.) 16 Jul 2020 22:35:36
Away u go coops mediocre, he was brought on with Barker to give us an out ball and the 2 of them worked hard and did ok. Very unlucky with his chance.

7.) 17 Jul 2020 09:57:50
Thought Jones looked fit and hungry tbh. And I thought he was unlucky with the finish as well.

8.) 17 Jul 2020 18:58:03
100% took a great touch good composure, missed by a bawhair.

9.) 17 Jul 2020 19:36:45
He won’t play there once in the league, except when he has no choice, classic.

14 Jul 2020 14:26:18
I get that we need 1st 11 signings and not bench warmers but. if Morelos stays and Gerrard continues with one number 9, do we just not sign any strikers then? If we want to change tactics either for a particular game or during a game I’d rather have Dykes up front with a Morelos than Defoe and Morelos.

1.) 14 Jul 2020 16:43:13
Wouldn’t mind seeing 2 strikers in a partnership up top some games . I don’t understand your comment alloager? Do you think we can’t sign a better striker than Morelos? I like Morelos but we have had better strikers before him 👍.

2.) 14 Jul 2020 16:50:20
Would love to see us do the same as tims and go 352 formation. After we beat them and new year. They changed after the break to 2 up top and blew everybody away.

3.) 14 Jul 2020 17:07:12
Spot on paul86.

4.) 14 Jul 2020 17:35:30
Paul and Bathgate would love two up top. But not a fan off three at the back. I like 442. For certain games.

5.) 14 Jul 2020 17:50:35
Should be sold, holding the team back now.

6.) 14 Jul 2020 19:01:59
Who's holding the team back? Morelos? He's our best player!

7.) 14 Jul 2020 19:40:43
I would rather play 352 than 442 as the latter is not good any modern football.

8.) 14 Jul 2020 20:10:42
kJ I know exactly what u r saying. We can’t find two top ch never mind three.

9.) 14 Jul 2020 20:28:50
Bgate, I agree we’ve had better strikers than Morelos, Mols, Negri to name but two. I just think we would only sign a better striker if Morelos actually left. I would sign a dykes or cosgrove as an option in a 2 up front but probably wouldn’t play that way in Europe or against celtic. My point was really just that there’s nothing wrong with signing a player that’s not a 1st 11 as long as it’s different to what we have.

10.) 14 Jul 2020 20:33:18
Lennon himself said he gambled by going 3-5-2 as he had no answer to Rangers and couldn't see us dropping points.
Consistency, individual errors and loss of form was our downfall after the winter break, not tactics.

Jsi it must be your turn to take pelters on here pal. I’ll try and back you up a wee bit here using a known name to ya, billy Gilmour. Was played in Europe and also against top EPL teams and ripped them apart. Now before I get shot down I know Gilmour is special but look at the league he was blooded in, the best in the world arguably. When was the last team we blooded a 17yr old and gave them a run? Other teams do it but the expectations of the old firm are that high that maybe managers aren’t allowed the privilege of doing so.

He’s a dopey little get that laddie, he thinks he’s too good for this club, needs to remember he was playing for some cr@p team in Finland before joining the mighty rangers. Petted lipped little clown that he is.

Totally respect your opinion mate but you’re wrong so it counts for nothing.
Haha I’m only kidding pal, this is what this site is about mate, opinions, and you’re absolutely entitled to yours.
I personally think it’s a tough one because I’ve no doubt the players, like our players, will have been well drilled on the precautions but the players go awol and make the manager look stupid.

This is just the start of it I fear, I can see this season being an utter shambles. What if you have 4 top players out, does the game still go ahead? What’s the line you draw before cancelling games?

The thing is, we love our club but Alf doesn’t have any loyalty to us, nor should he have, he’s a Colombian that played in Finland and he wants to go as high as possible in the game.
We’re thankful for having him and wish him all the best, and hope he remembers he was unheard of before playing for the mighty and we have given him the platform to showcase himself on the European stage, for that he should be very grateful.
