Might be a bit controversial but I think Ryan Porteous could be a good shout if we lose Goldson and if we could afford him. He has some rough edges, but you can't deny he's a winner and 25 years of age and Internationalist.

Wouldn’t want porteous near our club, absolutely under no circumstances, he’s bang average and his behaviour is nowhere near that of someone representing Rangers.

Opinions will vary, but he’s nowhere near the calibre of goldson for me and would struggle to get in the squad, let alone replace the most consistently used player we have.

Great young defender don’t care what anyone says it’s clear as a day but don’t think we would get him or he would even want to come.
He was man of the match for me before his daft challenge on kent.


For any one to say he is bang average is ludicrous.

If Poerteous was in our team he would be hero worshipped by many.

Tonnes of passion, a wee glint in his eye as he winds up the opposition and no doubting his commitment to the cause.

He’s young and impetuous but I bet with proper coaching and playing with better players he would improve massively.
