I do. In money all terms, he scores goals in this league. Why take a risk on a foreign based striker that you don’t know if they will settle and adapt to the league when there is one already here tearing it up and won’t cost a fortune.

We should be buying him in case our new #9 doesn’t hit the ground running.

Not saying we should bid but this low block mentality of a type of player is needed. If we move the ball quicker and break with pace then low block isn’t an issue. Also having a player who can beat defenders in the air helps for crosses into the box. Another way to beat it. We need plan A, Plan B and Plan C.

Beale about for 56, if van veen was a good goalscorer and had more to his game like you claim he has he wouldn't have ever ended up at motherwell, 72 goals since 2015 from a striker supposedly in his prime mostly playing in the lower leagues of english football is nowhere near good enough for rangers.

Not every player has to have a sell on, in fact any player we sign over 28 probably doesn’t have a sell on. Generally when teams have paid big money for players in our league, it’s for young players with potential, not the finished article.

We need to have a good squad, doesn’t mean he has to be our new #9 but could be handy to have in the squad if players get injuries etc. remember what happened when we got to the EL final, have the squad was injured! He wouldn’t break the bank and is better than what we currently have. It’s a no brainer!
