Would t risk Souttar or Jack on that pitch, esp with all this rain we’ve had and fact it’s in middle of Ayrshire. Just not worth the risk when we have such a big squad.

True about Souttar stevieg maybe would play Balogun instead. Don’t think Lundstram should be in there though would like to think we don’t need an enforcer type midfielder. Think Sima should be on the bench we need to get Dessers and Danilo to try build a partnership asap.

I don’t really know the proper ins and outs of Souttars injury history but if he’s increased risk then I would leave him out tbh all 3 fit senior centre backs are injury prone so all of them could be injured at any moment. If Souttar is deemed to be alright then I’d play him so it depends. Fitness aside I’m torn between Souttar and Balogun or Souttar and Davies. The only real benefit of Davies is he’s left footed. If pushed I’d probably actually go for Souttar and Balogun but I think Davies will start. Goldson won’t be risked he needs to build up his sharpness. I’d be surprised if he even played on Wednesday think the 2nd leg is more likely after half an hour at ibrox next weekend.

Midfield I don’t think we need Jack or Lundstram. If the game gets more physical and we’re struggling in the middle of the park then I’d bring one of them on but I’d like to see what a midfield 3 of cantwell Raskin and dowell can do. I think the narrow formation we tried at the start of pre season will work much better domestically given that they’ll not attack anywhere near as much.

Based on form and fitness. I wouldn`t play Jack on that pitch, Barisic is the lesser of two evils and Dessers admitted last week he wasn`t match fit, so start with Danilo who has been playing regularly pre season.

4-3-3 to win the midfield war and provide cover for full backs.

Fair enough mate, I just feel balogun was brought in to cover these type of things. 2 games in a week and one on plastic could be too much for Souttar.
Let big Leon earn his wage and stake his claim for a place in midweek.
Maybe Jose will get a run out aswell.

Yeah true Stevie not a bad shout tbh any combo out of the 3 should have more than enough to keep killie out. Big issue is though we have to get 3 points and if we leave out our best fit centre half (Souttar) and drop points then everyone will be questioning why he didn’t play.
