Made my weekend that tjbb.

2.) 20 Aug 2023
20 Aug 2023 17:23:28
Hope we are not gonnae think that's us a great team now because that mob got beat.

3.) 20 Aug 2023
20 Aug 2023 17:26:12
What it does show Laudrup is that Kilmarnock ain't so easy to beat.

4.) 20 Aug 2023
20 Aug 2023 17:29:50
exactly Laudrup, really need to sort ourselves out first before gloating.

5.) 20 Aug 2023
20 Aug 2023 17:36:37
The point Laudrup is hopefully people won’t think they are a great team. Brings a wee bit of pressure on Brendan.

6.) 20 Aug 2023
20 Aug 2023 17:37:53
I do think we are a great team, always.

7.) 20 Aug 2023
20 Aug 2023 17:39:27
Interestingly. Celtic used a 4-3-3 formation today with two number 8s supporting a front three. This is basically the exact same system Rangers play. Both teams are using the same tactics so it might come down to player quality this season. I don’t think Beale and Rodgers are that far apart in terms of managerial ability. I guarantee you those two managers would agree on most things tactically.

8.) 20 Aug 2023
20 Aug 2023 17:41:24
That would be really naive and silly Laudrup1972, but you know that's what some will instinctively do. That would be a mistake.

9.) 20 Aug 2023
20 Aug 2023 17:45:12
No laudrup but go across to their site and see how many are saying their manager is on borrowed time, none. Disgrace some of the self entities comments on here sometimes. Saying if they beat us in a fortnight Beale will need to go etc. utter nonsense.

10.) 20 Aug 2023
20 Aug 2023 17:46:16
No Laudrup, but it does take the wind out of their sails.
Rogers does not have the full backing of the support and that result sows the seeds of doubt.

11.) 20 Aug 2023
20 Aug 2023 17:50:12
Did Celtic fans wait before gloating over Kilmarnock’s opening day league defeat? No. There was instant talk of Beale’s job prospects and on the TV by pundits too. The performance criticised. That piles on tremendous pressure. All the while Celtic were going about their business very quietly

Today puts them back in the spotlight and for all the wrong reasons. There are only two teams that can win this league. When Celtic slip up Rangers must turn the screw. If Celtic sack Rodgers it’ll cost them a fortune and send them in to free fall.

12.) 20 Aug 2023
20 Aug 2023 17:53:57
There is no correlation between Killie beating Celtic and us failing to beat Killlie on the opening day of the season.
It isn’t that Killie were difficult to beat - it was the fact that we were atrocious all over the pitch that day from the managers tactics and player performances.
If the sole ambition of some fans is that we aren’t that bad because Killie also beat Celtic then standards within some supporters on here have dropped considerably.

13.) 20 Aug 2023
20 Aug 2023 17:57:00
Gersrfc1/ Laudrup can you guys not just enjoy the moment? Just looking for something to have a moan about.

14.) 20 Aug 2023
20 Aug 2023 18:05:23
We should all enjoy the moment Boy Blue, but there is nothing wrong in warning fans of becoming complacent just because celtic got beat. I'm going to lap their defeat up but I still know we have a lot to do to be convincing.

15.) 20 Aug 2023
20 Aug 2023 18:10:40
Correct potatohead.

16.) 20 Aug 2023
20 Aug 2023 18:17:39
Totally agree boy blue, I will be gloating today, tonight and probably some gloating left over for tomorrow, lol.

Actually think some on here don't like football at times, gloating when your opponents get beat is one of the best things about being a football fan.

On a serious note it does show how tough a nut to crack Killie at home will be this season, particularly on a dry artificial pitch which is not designed to be played on that way.

17.) 20 Aug 2023
20 Aug 2023 18:24:23
“ It isn’t that Killie were difficult to beat - it was the fact that we were atrocious all over the pitch that day from the managers tactics and player performances. ”

Give Kilmarnock some credit. They have no money. New manager in. They signed 10 players last summer. The only player Kilmarnock spent on was Lewis Mayo and the other 9 were free. They’ve managed to beat Rangers and Celtic even with very limited resources. Do you know how good their new signings are? They could finish 3rd this season and surprise everyone. We don’t know yet.

Kilmarnock have been difficult to beat. This is why they’ve beat both Rangers and Celtic. This is why they are getting praise today. Not only did Kilmarnock win these games, but they deserved to win them. Before the season kicked off most thought Rangers and Celtic would win constantly and it would come down to those Old Firm games. Maybe it wont. Both teams have looked shaky so far. I think there’s an excellent chance of an Old Firm manager being sacked in December/ January.

18.) 20 Aug 2023
20 Aug 2023 18:28:25
The correlation Mrpotatohead is that we both lost to Kilmarnock. Our fans blamed MB, their fans as far as I can see are blaming the ref, var, the pitch and the Lanarkshire mafia.
It seems its only us that turn on our own.

19.) 20 Aug 2023
20 Aug 2023 18:43:07
so would you rather we lied and blamed the ref etc or would it be more productive to tell the truth and blame the managers tactics jfm lol.

20.) 20 Aug 2023
20 Aug 2023 18:47:02
@jfm - Celtic fans don’t like Brendan Rodgers because he walked out on them last time. Most have only tolerated this appointment because it was suppose to be guaranteed success. A seamless transition from one winning season to another. Today wasn’t in the script ?

I’ve been on twitter and there is Celtic fans already questioning the appointment of Rodgers and words like “fraud” are being mentioned. Celtic fans will turns against Rodgers quickly and we must encourage it at every turn. Get him the sack and see what that compensation bill looks like - He’s the highest paid manager in Scottish football history apparently. They kid need to give him millions ?.

21.) 20 Aug 2023
20 Aug 2023 18:50:46
VerdantAbyss how do you figure Killie have a new manager in, McInnes has been there fore a couple of seasons now.

22.) 20 Aug 2023
20 Aug 2023 18:51:07
Totally agree jfm and Alloa … and we played a hell of a lot better than Celtic did At Kilmarnock…
But it’s us according to some that’s atrocious. Killie were very lucky against us . They weren’t today.

23.) 20 Aug 2023
20 Aug 2023 19:09:03
Gers I'll accommodate you just once as I think you're a man of many names that I don't usually answer.
I've made my position quite clear. I've no problem with criticism and actually think it is important.
What I object to is posters calling for the managers head after 1 game.
You can lol to yourself all day long. I will continue to support my manager and team. You whatever your real name is this week can do what you like.

24.) 20 Aug 2023
20 Aug 2023 19:15:19
You and others are entitled to your opinion, jfm2704.
But if you are taking comfort from a Celtic defeat in relation to Rangers opening day ( and others ) performance and defeat then your expectations as a Rangers fan certainly don’t match mine.

25.) 20 Aug 2023
20 Aug 2023 19:22:04
Mr potatohead, can you tell me your reasoning for suggesting kille aren't hard to beat, considering they have beat rangers, celtic drew with hearts infact 6 games in they have'nt been beat yet i don't think. To beat both side of the old firm isn't a fluke, did you watch that game today killies work rate today was a joy to watch, there's absolutely nothing to suggest at this point that they are'nt difficult to beat.

26.) 20 Aug 2023
20 Aug 2023 19:22:59
Mrpotatohead it's simple for me. My last manager is a celtic fan. We've kept in touch and I get it big time when celtic win and we lose.
Today it was my turn to give some back. If you want to wallow in the first game of the season result then go ahead. I'm going to squeeze every bit of enjoyment I can from today as there will be times when I'm getting it big time again.
Live for today mate, yesterday's gone and nobody knows when they won't have a tomorrow.

27.) 20 Aug 2023
20 Aug 2023 19:28:30
well said tommy gunn, i'll be gloating util my we heart is content mate we've put up with more than enough.

28.) 20 Aug 2023
20 Aug 2023 19:28:58
Correct MPH good posts mate.

29.) 20 Aug 2023
20 Aug 2023 20:06:48
Stick up for our team for once storm eh? We have no divine right to beat teams . Kilmarnock have been brilliant start of season . Take your anti rangers specs off for a moment and appreciate the opposition and show a little humility in defeat. Isbit to hard to compliment a bit of rangers play rather than this … how embarrassing ?☺️.

30.) 20 Aug 2023
20 Aug 2023 20:32:17
once again nailed it potatohead. fans would rather blame the ref the pitch rather that accept the facts.

31.) 20 Aug 2023
20 Aug 2023 21:46:21
Not seen one rangers fan doing that, I pointed out that is what the celtic fans are doing.
If I want to celebrate celtic going out of the cup and the chance to give plenty back to someone who let's me have it when we lose I will.
Neither you or potatohead will stop me.

32.) 20 Aug 2023
20 Aug 2023 21:54:23
Sorry MPH but you are wrong IMHO

Our fans slated our players and manager for a weak performance against Killie in our first match ~ it was always going to be tough for us with a new squad

Many of our fans effectively threw in the towel because Celtic are so far ahead of us and have repeatedly called for MB to be sacked.

Today proves that we are not as far behind as the boo boys think and we have the opportunity to put a trophy on the shelf before our untouchable competitors this season.

33.) 21 Aug 2023
21 Aug 2023 08:57:09
Correct and on the button DK.

34.) 21 Aug 2023
21 Aug 2023 11:11:54
We can enjoy them getting beat but we have to go to Dingwall on Sat and need to win otherwise the celtic match becomes make or break for many fans we can't fall 8 behind or if we draw then lose our nxt 2 matches or 9 if we lost both so yes gloat but are any of us confident we'll win our next 2 league games?
