The overwhelming consensus is Gio must go! When he does (only a matter of time), who can we realistically bring in?
It's my opinion Gio won't resign, so that means a big payoff. Once we write off what we need to pay out, who thinks we'll have the funds needed to bring in the right manager? Any manager worth his salt is probably in a job, so he's going to cost a bit. Can we afford 2 big payouts to bring a manager like that in? If we can't, does that mean we're shopping in the bargain basement section? Or do we go for someone not in a job just now?
I'm no expert, but here's my tuppence on this.

Managers who will do a job, and who will instantly make us better, but will cost money (only suggestions, nothing more) -
Mick Beale
Kjetil Knutsen
Serhiy Rebrov (don't know how much compensation he would cost, but he must be getting paid a fortune in UAE)
Bielsa (I know, pie in the sky)

Managers in a job, but won't cost much in compensation, but will be attractive to our board, even though they are crap
Robbie Neilson
Russell Martin

Managers out of work and are the cheapest option (please, no to them all)
Sean Dyce
Kevin Thomson
Duncan Ferguson

There's going to more names than that, but I couldn't be bothered writing anymore.

Rebrov and Knutsen are the 2 who excites me, but I think there's less than zero chance getting either!
This is just my suggestions, nothing more. I'm no expert!

This horror movie ends when Gio's reign ends. Whatever the board need to do to get rid of him, they need to do it, now! From someone we admired as a player, his stock is plummeting faster than the pound. Once viewed as a Dutch master when appointed, he's in danger of being remembered as the Dutch donkey by the time he goes.

4.) 22 Oct 2022 18:57:03
John do you reckon he’ll be in charge next weekend?

a new manager has been i’d should we sack gio which some board want walter

two names in frame g4rry it would have happened tonight had we lost.

When a manager speaks like Gio has after last few performances he knows his time is up. The board need to act quickly on this. Gio has lost the dressing room.

Dire! Tavernier getting skinned, again for the goal.
We look like a rudderless ship, captained by a player who is so off it this season, and managed by a coach who's about as useful as a chocolate teapot. A pathetic, shambolic, useless bunch. Gio out now!

Ray I couldn't agree more gio had 1 year and were miles off winning a title.

2.) 22 Oct 2022 17:10:24
Said after Seville Gio is weak and lacks desire. Surely it’s so obvious now.

3.) 22 Oct 2022 17:39:52
Gio should go but don’t try and make out you didn’t like him after Seville everyone was calling him a genius.

4.) 22 Oct 2022 18:01:02
C'mon mate, how can you post that about Seville? I want Gio gone, but what you posted there is wrong.

Hmmmmmm! Along with your Bassey not happy at Ajax, Gio tendering his resignation (still waiting), and Tav and Gio having a major fallout, I'm filing this, and any future posts of yours, under S for sh*#e!

Sands had a good game, and he's an ok player. That's it! Some seem to think he's worse than what he is, while some think he's better than what he is. Go figure!

Hi Stig, I doubt it had anything to do with Beale possibly becoming our next manager. I hope to God it wasn't!? If it was an invite from the board (can't see it was), then this would be, indeed, very disrespectful to Gio. And not on!
Regardless of what we think of Gio, and whether anyone wants him replaced, the guy should still be shown the upmost respect. That's why I can't see anything in this, apart from Beale coming up to have look at a player, or two.

Nobody stops, or finds it hard, supporting the team because they're going through a hard time. Our support of the team isn't the hard part. Supporting Rangers is easy!
What's hard is watching half arsed players going through the motions. What's difficult to support is watching a manager not up to the job. Who picks the wrong players to play the wrong system, which results in his team getting destroyed in Europe, struggling to beat a team from the championship, or squeezing a draw against 10 men at home. That's the hard part!
