Hearing news that due to the revamping of the Copland Stand overrunning that we will be starting the season playing home games at Murrayfield.

Del2807

1.) 20 Jun 2024 13:58:24
I've heard similar but the full season at Hampden. We would need special permission from the league board to play home games at 2 different stadiums. After taking them to court recently I can see zero chance of that.

2.) 20 Jun 2024 14:02:27
Fair enough, rangers just announced it.

3.) 20 Jun 2024 13:56:44
Why would be travel through to Edinburgh and not be playing at Hampden?

Although could clash with QoS home games.

4.) 20 Jun 2024 14:15:18
Won't be full season. And i would expect it to be Hampden not murrayfield.

5.) 20 Jun 2024 14:40:41
Someone needs to get the chop for this! Option to Murrayfield - Costs to fans. How do they allocate season tickets? Potential to drop points, exit Champions League all because some idiot didn’t do their job right. Although given assurances I would expect Rangers not to pick up any costa . Financial implications as well as REPUTATION of the club. COMPLETE FARCE!

6.) 20 Jun 2024 14:41:37
Gal77, it's that’s the case and it's the full season. We would be as well getting the broamloan upgrade done now as well as the screens in the corners away and seats put in there and reopen next season with it all done then.

7.) 20 Jun 2024 14:47:48
Paul86. People saying hampden won’t be available until September. so Murrayfield are already in talks to sort it….

8.) 20 Jun 2024 14:48:09
Why murrayfield.

9.) 20 Jun 2024 14:51:02
Gigs at Hampden mean it can't be played there.

10.) 20 Jun 2024 14:53:33
Can’t use Hampden due to Pinks concert then the pitch is being relayed.

11.) 20 Jun 2024 15:00:03
Queens Park Blue and P, QoS clues in the name bud?.

12.) 20 Jun 2024 15:06:47
Hampden isn’t available till sept.

Also how can this be anyone at rangers fault? Do rangers order in the material?

Jesus Christ it’s not the clubs fault that material is coming late.

13.) 20 Jun 2024 15:26:35
Posted about this a couple of weeks ago, however they didn't allow my post, its been known inside ibrox for weeks, the games are definitely at murrayfield, I wonder if bisgrove jumped before he was pushed as this is a shambles, the club need to start being more honest with the fans.

14.) 20 Jun 2024 15:27:38
Andymac I'd love to see that getting done if it's the case that we're playing elsewhere.

15.) 20 Jun 2024 15:30:15
Bennett not a happy camper and rightly so. However the material should have been ordered months in advance. Poor planning by either the club or the contractor.

I know how these delays can occur due to the issues I have at work with lead times and deliveries from the Far East.

It’s embarrassing and obviously the club didn’t have a contingency plan in place.

Murrayfield will not be cheap but hopefully that’s offset if we can sell the 64k capacity.

16.) 20 Jun 2024 15:35:03
It is Stormtrooper as you just get a a steel fabricator in Scotland and even David Murray would have supplied the support steel! An absolute shambles.

17.) 20 Jun 2024 15:35:18
Horrendous take SXM….

18.) 20 Jun 2024 15:37:37
Aye it is rangers fault there will be someone project managing the job and they should not of allowed the firm to start the work until all materials where available . it should of stated that the company need to have all materials prepared and stored within a hours drive from Glasgow. Hope they had a delay clause in the contract as this could cost us millions.

19.) 20 Jun 2024 15:41:20
A can confirm that the steel work is currently in my place of work it is currently being painted so it’s all down to erecting times when it gets on site.

20.) 20 Jun 2024 15:45:46
If it wasn’t rangers fault why would the club be sacking people over it storm? The project manager and Also heard on good authority if Bisgrove was still here would have been getting the bullet for his part in the balls up as well.

21.) 20 Jun 2024 15:49:30
In the building industry things can quickly change.

22.) 20 Jun 2024 16:15:58
Shipping especially from far east can be held up months for a million reasons, usually arguments about tax on materials, seen container ships sitting at sea for weeks on end doing nothing, it was probably made before and ordered well in advance but rubbish happens, be more worried about bother at the Man U game and murryfield telling us to do one for the champ league qualifiers.

23.) 20 Jun 2024 16:27:18
Incredible that so many can make such bold sweeping statements with virtually no genuine information.

24.) 20 Jun 2024 16:54:08
Absolute nonsense being written as Usaul, two gigs due at Hampden, June 28 and 29.

25.) 20 Jun 2024 17:25:37
Wishy because they need a scapegoat not rocket science but obviously it’s fooled a few rangers fans.

26.) 20 Jun 2024 17:26:25
Good authority aye no bother wishy.

27.) 20 Jun 2024 17:52:59
If it’s not rangers fault then surely the guy who got sacked can take rangers to court for wrongful dismissal? you don’t have a clue lol.

28.) 20 Jun 2024 18:05:08
Forgot storm no one apart from john hears anything about Rangers?.

29.) 20 Jun 2024 18:17:14
I heard that Dessers was asked to buy the steels, but despite getting through to the checkout online multiple times he never actually hit the button to purchase them. Any truth in that?

30.) 20 Jun 2024 18:26:45
Sxmcr seriously! Do you think our fans only come from Glasgow I’m sure there are plenty of good rangers followers in Edinburgh and further with travel infrastructure Edinburgh might be just as good an option for a lot of rangers fans and not just you.

Might give some young kids that don’t normally get a chance to go go to their first game or a chance for the fans who travel through all the time an easier day.

31.) 20 Jun 2024 20:41:59
Feels like a PR Disaster.

06 Oct 2019 18:51:46
I like many on here question why big Goldson seems to be undroppable. However with that being said, if you actually watch the way he organises and constantly talks to players around him maybe this is why he seems to be the constant at the back. I really like Katic and Edmundson looks the part too but they are still very young in terms of centre half's and this may be the managers thinking regarding Goldson. Anyway top of the league and looking strong not just in our 1-11 but right throughout the squad. This just could be our year!

Del2807

1.) 06 Oct 2019 22:04:14
goldson is like papac, does it so well so often u forget to pay attention.

2.) 06 Oct 2019 22:31:03
Del, I think his communication is the only reason he isn’t being dropped, it sure as hell isn’t because of his defensive displays. I actually wonder how much of a say mcGregor has in who starts in front of him, maybe he also prefers Goldson because they communicate well together and isn’t a language barrier? Just a thought.

3.) 07 Oct 2019 06:29:08
I think you could be right zikos but I would rather have big goldson than hawd it and dodit over at livingston yesterday big dykes bullied they 2 all day yesterday and they lost the plot when they didn’t get their own way they lost their discipline completely it was a joy to watch 🇬🇧.

4.) 07 Oct 2019 10:01:44
People are a bit unfair on Goldson I think. He has made some poor decisions recently but he plays well more often than not. He won't get it his own way every game. Same applies to Tav. He plays good more often than not but admit he has had a wee dip in form. Time to cut the guys some slack.

5.) 07 Oct 2019 11:58:00
Sometimes goldson's use of the ball leaves a lot to be desired, however he is an organiser at the back and this must be gerrards thinking. We are blessed with 4 very good defenders right now and when we pick up injuries we will be thankful of this.

6.) 07 Oct 2019 13:06:30
Goldson is a leader on the pitch and is held in great esteem by his team mates, Gerrard and me. We have 4 good centre-backs, only issue is giving them all game-time.

7.) 07 Oct 2019 13:50:43
Agree souness read big goerge singing his praises post match yesterday he seems to be the one that the other look to for advice help certainly george n niko almost like a mentor.

8.) 07 Oct 2019 14:29:25
Love the fact all the former goldson haters are now singing his praises 😂😂😂.

9.) 07 Oct 2019 14:45:48
Had some absolutely horrific showings last season also. His communication mayne keeping him in side. As footballer wise i currently have him 4th best centre half. honestly think edmunson looking class.

10.) 07 Oct 2019 16:28:16
Never once said anything positive or negative about Goldson on here. So who you calling out Brogie?

11.) 07 Oct 2019 19:45:25
Nor me either 🤫.

12.) 07 Oct 2019 22:41:09
Personally not a huge Goldson fan, think I would still try and find a better pairing between the others. Think he is pacy enough and decent on the ball but will always have a mistake in him and can easily be bullied off the ball. I think if you play Goldson then you always play Katic to give us the physical presence which Goldson lacks.

13.) 07 Oct 2019 22:45:58
Nor me, definitely think big niko is our best cb tho would be him n goldson for me.

14.) 08 Oct 2019 14:40:11
Not a big fan of Goldson, 3rd choice for me, Yes he scored on Sunday but still his decision making and ball delivery is shocking, Plus for such a big guy, He is easy bullied of the ball, But SG must see something I and some others don’t, Great result on Sunday especially with THEM getting beat, Onwards and Upwards, 🇦🇺🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿👍.

15.) 08 Oct 2019 22:21:56
Think Goldsons problem is he’s constantly covering for Tav being posted missing and trying to deal with his mistakes. Often leads to him being out of position.

16.) 08 Oct 2019 23:45:54
inconsistent for me, been poor recently in general terms, but he can make some great diagonal passes if he has time on the ball just unfortunately he doesn't get time on the ball.

17.) 09 Oct 2019 12:34:40
Goldson wins every ball in the air rounds up the defence and actually scores a few in to the bargain lol does well for someone left in the lurch off our captain rapid.

24 Jun 2019 22:31:12
The signing of Joe Aribo shows how far we have come in the past few years. The thought of signing a player being linked with Arsenal and Man City just a few months back would have been laughable in seasons gone by.

We were fighting teams from the lower reaches of the Championship and Division 1 for players not too long ago. Now we are attracting not just experienced players like Defoe and Davis but young and upcoming guys with bags of potential. One more centre half and a back up striker and I really believe we have the squad capable of giving it a real go this season.

Del2807

1.) 25 Jun 2019 09:32:18
Del2807 You are bang on. I have been banging on about 1 more CB and one more striker and we will be there. Just a wee note to the glass half empty brigade. PLEASE REFILL YOUR GLASS. STEVIE G KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING.

2.) 26 Jun 2019 13:19:59
I don't mind him going but would like a fee and sell on clause inserted in any deal cause i think the boy will come good.

26 Jun 2024 07:24:45
With regards Kenny McLean, I remember the same reaction to the incoming transfers of guys like Wilkins, Spackman, Davis, Weir etc. You always need experience in your team and he probably still has a good 3 or 4 year left in him. As long as the fee isn't too restrictive then this signing ticks a lot of boxes. It may not be the marquee one but could prove extremely important.

Del2807

1.) 26 Jun 2024 09:31:52
I reckon he will be the first of at least a trio of experienced signings. We will bring in a CH (possibly McKenna), McLean in the middle of the park and I still think Shankland up top. Enough to guide the young lads through a difficult phase and bring success back to the club. I get that many won't agree or be happy about it, but for me this is what we need.

2.) 26 Jun 2024 09:35:19
Agreed about experience but costly now for a senior player! - He was touted before he signed new contact with Norwich - so big fan as he claimed he is? - would it not have been better to get him for next to zero then!

3.) 26 Jun 2024 09:56:14
Honest opinion, he is too slow for our league, and like a few b4 him, looking for a final big pay day at the tail end of his career.

4.) 26 Jun 2024 10:51:43
His Dad Lex was a big Rangers fan also ? one for the old yins.

5.) 26 Jun 2024 11:07:27
Bar Rangers will not pay him more than Norwich does.

6.) 26 Jun 2024 11:47:54
You're going back now, sima! Remember Lex McLean well. Big Gers man.

7.) 26 Jun 2024 14:22:56
Is that him that sang American Pie??.

22 May 2024 14:00:02
The chatter about Goldson that John may be referring to is that he was fit for the run in but a deal to take him to Saudi had been agreed in principal and neither the player or the club were wiing to jeopardise this by aggravating his previous injury. I didn't believe the stories linking him and Tav to these moves but if we are getting both off the wage bill and receiving a hefty lump of cash to reinvest then it might just be a good thing.

Del2807

1.) 22 May 2024 14:49:40
Sounds like a club in desperate need of cash.

2.) 22 May 2024 15:13:20
That would be a tremendous outcome but I’m not convinced that’ll happen. If it does, then great.

3.) 22 May 2024 15:46:25
I was referring to his sons op.

4.) 22 May 2024 16:35:55
Im hopeful you are right Del.

20 May 2024 16:32:20
Not wanting to be negative about a signing before he even gets here but the boy Cordoba seems to like to take a bit of time on the ball before releasing it. Don't think he will be afforded that luxury in the hustle and bustle of Scottish football. Regarding Harry Souttar, I'd take him in a heartbeat. Good age, experience at a good club and a real commanding style cb. These are attributes we could do with.

Del2807

1.) 20 May 2024 17:13:17
It’s really good to get insight from somebody who watches a lot of Bulgarian football and I appreciate you taking the time to come on and inform us. What strengths does he have? Any other good players in that league that you’ve watched over the years?

2.) 20 May 2024 17:37:59
I have to agree the available footage of him is not the most flattering highlights you’ll ever see, second touch is a tackle, looks like he’ll get caught in possession and god knows how he hasn’t made about 4 fouls in the reel.

3.) 20 May 2024 17:45:22
Being sarcy dado?

4.) 20 May 2024 17:49:57
Yeah having a crap day and struggling to understand why somebody would criticise a player from YouTube? I watched the wee South African boy this morning, wasn’t the great footage I’ve seen but I accept that it’s YouTube and not a fair reflection to cast judgement.

5.) 20 May 2024 18:10:17
Dado tomorrow's another day, hopefully you wake up feeling better mate. Agree YouTube isn't the place to rate a player, in saying that though these Yt reels are supposed to make them look good.

6.) 20 May 2024 18:22:12
Del, could we afford Harry Souttar.

7.) 20 May 2024 18:40:11
He looks like he can defend and that’s what we need a the moment. You are never going to get someone who can defend and can play on the ball at our budget. People complain about Ben Davies cause he can’t defend but he can pass the ball well? People need to get in the real world as to what they expect we can actually sign.

8.) 20 May 2024 19:15:56
Exactly wishy. Goldson thinks he's a ball playing defender if only he enjoyed actual defending.

9.) 20 May 2024 19:44:25
Cheers Blue Boy, I’m sure it will be.

10.) 20 May 2024 19:45:17
Young left footed centre half, gaining a good reputation in a league better than ours, establishing himself at international level and also has a season of Europa Conference League football under his belt.

Seems a pretty promising signing to me.

11.) 20 May 2024 20:11:34
Souttar is on 40k a week, big contract up to 2028. He will def go on loan next year but only with option to buy. Everton, wolves, Brighton all looking at him for a loan. South American market is one we are looking at closely. Like I mentioned a few weeks ago. Davies has had enquires from same team that was interested in January. Looking at doing a deal that includes wright permanent and king on loan to killie in exchange for Watson ( no fees but add ons for both wright and Watson) . Player from Denmark is being watched closely but club want to keep hold. Midfielder that PC knows well already in UK is the one that that PC wants and will push for. Lammers, Hagi, Lawrence all got interest. Two forward players from South America expected. One championship player already done deal. Covers midfield but usually a CB.

12.) 20 May 2024 20:26:31
Think Leicester might cut their losses on Soapy 2, a like him and might even score from a corner with him in team, doubt he will be on Clemonts wish list tho.

13.) 20 May 2024 20:32:33
He seems to be able to travel with ball and not scared to take a man on, just means my heart will be in my mouth when centre backs start playing Pele, well thought of in league and we will soon find out how he is after two pre season games he will either be best signing ever or a dud if our support have anything to do with it.

14.) 21 May 2024 06:54:03
Coopers - Aye I remember the days when Gough, Butcher, Amo used to score from corners and give me a pretty penny on the 1st scorer market - good times when we could find a centre halfs head with a decent cross!

15.) 21 May 2024 09:09:58
Coopers liecster need money in for Souttar etc, they r about to get a points deduction if they don’t recoup big money in summer window.

16.) 21 May 2024 09:10:14
Del, let's wait and see regarding jose cordoba and give the guy a chance ?.

17.) 21 May 2024 12:40:59
Agree EHL, let's wait until we see him, very pacey cb as well and we sure need that.

13 Jan 2024 14:46:05
I've stayed at the La Manga complex on 3 occasions and can assure you, no holidaymakers would get access to the team or facilities. It's a walled complex with 24 hrs security access. On top of that, there is no surrounding resorts close by and only 1 small pub inside the complex. This pub ain't cheap either. The corporate guest story may be true but no fan will be able to just rock up and take in the game nor gain access to the players.

Del2807

1.) 13 Jan 2024 15:01:29
Cheers del ??.

01 Sep 2023 13:15:21
What a fickle lot on here. We've signed 10 players this window but there is screams of derision that we've not got enough to win a 2 horse race against a team on the decline. How can you guys make a judgement on a group of players who haven't even had 10 games together. Absolutely ridiculous. The usual players aren't deemed good enough by some.

Del2807

1.) 01 Sep 2023 13:46:18
Totally agree with you Del, the negativity is unbearable. We have a massive chance to leap frog our rivals on Sunday, and even if we don't then we have another 34 games to do it in. if lose touch of them by a margin then fair enough, but this is not that time. We also have 3 cup competitions we are in.

2.) 01 Sep 2023 14:02:29
56 is on its way calm down.

3.) 01 Sep 2023 14:06:36
That’s because our defence is a fecking shambles and we only brought in balogun which is ludicrous.

4.) 01 Sep 2023 14:12:32
In a way I don't mind a bit of criticism and can understand why fans are sceptical as none of the summer signings have been an instant success. I would personally not write any of them off so soon but we are all entitled to air our opinions and if we all it agreed it would be a pointless forum.

However this does not include those who come on every day and say the exact same thing multiple times. Once you say your piece there us just no need to jump on every thread to say the same thing, day after day. Its so tedious and just an attempt to drown out others opinions that don't agree with them.

Though to be honest I read this site for years without posting and the only reason I did was because of those type of posters. Thier negativity did not reflect my views and the constant nature of it forced me to try and share mine which are much more positive. I would encourage others to do the same, it is more fun getting involved.

5.) 01 Sep 2023 14:16:07
100% correct. If it doesn’t work out they’ll be the first ones to say I told you so and if we are successful they’ll say nothing. A sense of self entitlement amongst some of our support. Good job they didn’t support arsenal in the Wenger days.

6.) 01 Sep 2023 14:18:48
If you were told at the end of last season the only signings we’d make to improve our defence was a backup right back and Leon Balogun would you be happy?

7.) 01 Sep 2023 14:25:09
Its not the fact that the new players don't seem to click. Its the fact that they do not even look to have the general ability of a footballer. Terrible passing and movement.
Dessers seems to have no ball control and cannot use his body or hit a barn door with a shot. which you would expect from a STRIKER.
Danilo has not been given a chance by the manager to be fair.

Sima runs about like a headless chicken and gives the ball away most times he touches the ball.

Its not being negative. its just saying out it is. Fingers crossed we pump them on Sunday and the team pushes on.

8.) 01 Sep 2023 14:30:13
Del, maybe we have a very good bunch of players and it is the manager that is the problem. Bizzmy, you talk about 3 cup competitions but the only one worth winning is the European Trophy. The league Cup is a Mickey Mouse Trophy that means nothing in terms of European Qualification and the Scottish Cup is nothing more than a piece of Silverware. Winning the League is the only Domestic Trophy that is worth winning.
Losing on Sunday isn't an option. This idea that it is early on in the Season and we can still overtake them just doesn't wash. Neither Club should lose many, if any games to other teams. That means winning the Old Firm games. What is more, the heads will go down, the support will turn against Beale. It is human nature and his credibility isn't great right now with a loss against Kilmarnock and annihilation against PSV. A loss at the weekend isn't an option.

9.) 01 Sep 2023 14:39:14
10 players signed.
Only 3 started against PSV.
£6 million striker on the bench.
Same issues at the back ( who aren't new players ) .
But we've just to accept it's all Unicorns and Rainbows at Ibrox.
Having concerns doesn't mean I don't fully back the team.
Or that I don't expect us to beat Celtic at Ibrox.
Or still be challenging domestically in all competitions.
But seeing the same issues over and over during every game whether we win, lose or draw does put a wee bit of doubt in my mind.
Problems need to be addressed by the manager quickly.
To a man we all think the defence is needing upgraded. Beale doesn't. WTF!

10.) 01 Sep 2023 14:47:56
Balogun has played right back before in an Old Firm and was MOM - get him in there and stick Tavs at left back -full backs should consider the defending aspect of our game to be priority and not push too far up park and play speed up front and get long balls turning their defence - route 1 can get results and get Jack back in mid for Lundstram - 100% dig required from every player for 90 plus mins and we can turn them over- dread to see what team Beale actually picks as if he plays Dessers we are a man down to start - the boy has no guile or confidence sorry but its true!

11.) 01 Sep 2023 15:12:07
Ally, thanks for the perfect example of what I was trying to say. How many times have you randomly posted about Dessers.

20? 30? More?

Dessers has had multiple assists already so his passing has been good. His movement has been good, (killie game aside), and he leads the line well occupying the opposition defenders. He does not look a natural goalscorer so that would be a fair criticism.

But to say someone who has played in Eredivisie and Seria A does not have the general ability of a footballer is just random nonesense.

12.) 01 Sep 2023 15:14:47
Maybe its because we have been beaten by Kilmarnock, thrashed by PSV, players we bought have already been benched and others are being played out of positions and look lost . We have had two clean sheets since the season started despite the fact the goalie has been the only successful signing so far . There is no system, there is no style emerging and most of the time the play is boring. Yeah that may sound negative but its more to do with caring about where the club is going under the current manager and previous manager and DOF for that matter. Look at the last 5 transfer windows and you can see only one that has been a success. The team is in serious decline and the people in charge either can`t see it or don`t care . I try not to judge players too early but this current crop look dreadful with only Butland looking the part.

13.) 01 Sep 2023 15:16:38
MPH, on the money sir, spot on.

14.) 01 Sep 2023 15:32:23
Alloa supported rangers in the Grieg days and the 9 in a row days. Their first one that is. Most would have support teddies through the last 10 years of hurt. Sure I saw someone use the phrase “fans not supporters”. What does that mean?

Exactly what we require. Another non scoring Nigerian forward. I'd rather Van Veen than this one.

Be happy with us paying as little as possible. Depends what they think he's worth John. Experience wise then this offer is about right. This is a chance for Michael Beale to prove he's got it at a big club with all the pressure. If he's successful then the financial rewards will most definitely follow.

I would keep Goldson too, in a heartbeat but unfortunately that one isn't in our hands. We will also be sending loan players back. Whilst a lot of signings can be exciting, it is also a precarious situation as I really don't think we can afford to get this one wrong.

Read the post properly before jumping in with both feet Stormtrooper. I said the misses cost us a comfortable evening. Now what part of that don't you agree with? If we get 2-0 up in that game then Kelly, Balogun and one of the boys could have been introduced to save legs for Sunday. I think that's a fair assessment of the night, don't you?

He can still purchase shares in order to keep his current percentage of the club. He owns 9% at the moment which is within the dual interest boundaries. Under the proposals though his stake would have been diluted by half to 4.5% with no option to buy more. But thanks to Mccoist and the likes this option has been blocked.
