The performance in the 2nd half was very good especially considering how deflating conceding could have been. There were a few excellent performers. The only downside i could see was the delivery from crosses and set pieces, nobody seemed at it there. We look like we have a good group of players who can be counted on and can take responsibility. No more easy rides against us.

If murty doesn't have enough experience to be anywhere near the Rangers job how can Steven Gerrard suddenly be the right man. At least Murty had done a few years coaching at different levels. This just smacks of chasing a big name regardless of whether they're suitable.

SG could be right man because he's played at highest level. Who has Murty played for aside Glenbuck Cherrpickers.

2.) 26 Apr 2018 22:36:10
It's got very little to do with how good a player he was. Can't argue he was a much better player than murty but how does that guarantee he'll be a better manager. Most have been clamouring for an experienced name to guide us at this tough time. People have bemoaned murty for having no experience but at least he had been a part of the Rangers set up. Gerrard is walking in from the cold

That was dreadful. Half an hour against 10 men and they can barely motivate themselves to take the win, which was there for the taking. There was no urgency and they completely ran out of ideas once they knew the expectation was on them. There was never anyone busting a gut to get on the end of a cross. There'd been plenty of fire before that which is even more frustrating. Don't know if sky fiddle with the crowd volume but things seemed a bit flat at times today. I was expecting a huge push after the red but didn't sound like it came.

Exactly, there was nobody stepping up (dare I say it like Brown), who grabbed the players by the scruff of the neck and pushed them on for the win.

Bit riled by les ferdinands comments about Goss coming in on loan. Says there's no chance of the transfer being made permanent and he's only loaned out to get some game time. Maybe just me but he was talking like QPR are way above us and we're just some diddy team that could only ever dream of signing one of their promising youngsters. Probably just biased cause I've never cared for him much.

Les Ferdinand is a bawbag

2.) 05 Jan 2018 13:03:11
QPR may not have the fan base that the day of firm have, but they do have the £££s that we could only dream of and at the end of the day, that’s all that really matters to most players nowadays.

3.) 05 Jan 2018 13:13:23
Les who? let's arrange a friendly with QPR then he may think again when we outshine his team.

4.) 05 Jan 2018 13:16:04
QPR's turnover last season was £41.9m, Rangers was about £30m. So in that respect they are a bigger club. This is how Rangers are viewed these days, no bank willing to offer you credit, losses year after year, the because decision to be enforced on King and even if all that works and you get a NOMAD and have an IPO then surely the conversion of debt to shares puts any of the creditors (three bears) in the concert party scenario again and lo and behold another order from TAP to buy the whole thing reappears, oh and if not you fall foul of FFP at UEFA. You have a big stadium, massive support, loads of trophies and a rich history but financially you are a diddy team (or basket case, take your pick. )

And before anyone pipes in, I have always said you are one and the same Rangers, so I'll just nip that deflection in the bud here and now.

5.) 05 Jan 2018 15:23:18
Rangers have been poorly managed on and off the field for the last few years. QPR have been mismanaged on a completely different scale. Check they're finances, its online. They're MAD owner has written off £250m!, they've a small stadium, piss poor training facilities. They've been sanctioned £40-£50m for breaking financial fair play rules.
Not like C*ltic fan to obsessing about rangers though!

6.) 05 Jan 2018 18:01:41
gazo- a poor old numpty rangers hater with nothing positive in life to say, must be bad for you trawling the net for figures and garbage that does not even add up, i pity you my friend

7.) 05 Jan 2018 18:23:48
Gazo mate if you are basing the size of a club purely on turnover I hope you realise your basically saying your lot are then going to be a smaller club than a lot of the dross in the EPL and most likely the Championship too?

8.) 06 Jan 2018 13:31:20
I'm well aware of their finances blueberry and you're correct they are poor but they are one step away from the domestic promised land, you are in ours and still see no financial improvement. Another thing I noticed about their finances was their banker is RBS if I remember correctly, who is Rangers again? Remember the bank of Three Bears isn't a recognised financial institution. An obsessed reference, wow isn't that played out yet? Is there any chance of a modicum of originality from some of you?

Im in two minds about this Tony Pulls rumour. He did well at Stoke and WBA up until a point, he made them physical and hard to beat which was what they needed at the time. My issue is that even once theyd become safe midtable prem teams he never tried to expand his attacking options or pushed the boat out. Some of his team selections were embarrassingly defensive. We definitely could use his ability to turn us into a strong, solid side just now but I don't think he'd ever achieve

Boli-poly

1.) 20 Dec 2017 11:21:23
That's because after they are mid table you come up against teams that are spending 150 million per transfer window. He's run riot up here. He would make us hard to beat (which we traditionally were) and organised. I sook aff the full Celtic squad to get him.

2.) 20 Dec 2017 12:34:22
C bear oooft that's not a picture i wanna see if we get pulis mate

3.) 20 Dec 2017 21:01:00
I accidentally posted my message before I'd finished it. I agree with the fact he was never going to compete with the big boys in the premiership but he never progressed his tactics as his teams grew in stature which is why he left both clubs. We need to be tougher to beat but a club like rangers should be blowing half the teams in this league away and I don't know if he can bring that to us down the line

I don't know if he's a problem child but he's nowhere near as good as he was made out to be when he first broke through. He also has a shocking injury record which has possibly played a part in hurting his progress

I was watching the costa Rica game there and he has a bit of ability. He was never arsenal quality but he was better than most people gave him credit for. Technically he was ahead of Walcott and welbeck but he never got a chance so I'm guessing his attitude isn't up to scratch. He's struggled on loan but there is a decent player in there

Probably moving faster than the player himself. Had undoubted talent when he first broke through but it all went to his head and his attitude and fitness has been consistently criticised. He'd no doubt demand a ridiculous wage and put the minimal effort in

I think ejaria will be a decent addition if he's used correctly. My impression is he'll be good value when the teams doing well but not sure I'd turn to him in a crisis.
Kent looks a bit rough round the edges, he tries things that maybe he shouldn't but his enthusiasm is first class. He looks like he'll keep trying things all game and he does have a bit of quality to make things happen. It's amazing what a wide player who's willing to take a defender on can achieve.

Ejaria looks decent when he has the ball but the games I've seen have passed him by a little. Not for a lack of effort or anything but he seems a bit inexperienced positionally.

{Ed0333's Note - he’ll come good I’m sure of it.

I think defensively we'd benefit hugely from playing a back 3/ 5 And Flanagan could be one of the outside centre backs in the style of azpilicueta. It would free up tav and John to get forward and relieve them of some defensive responsibility where they struggle. The problem is that playing that system against lesser teams seems a bit unnecessarily defensive and would mean sacrificing a more forward thinking player. It's definitely an option for some games for me.

They should be able to just terminate his contract after his various antics. Only issue is if he actually is an alcoholic then that would make things tricky as the we'd be required to show support.

I'd want John Terry nowhere near our club regardless of how good a player he might have been. I can't understand how people keep forgiving and forgetting all the things he's done that show how much of a pr*ck he is
