There's a lot of people suggesting Alves should replace Wallace as captain but at best he might only be here for 2/ 3 seasons .
I, m not saying replace Wallace but if we were would Jack not be a younger longer term solution he's done the job before.

It's not been 2 games though, it's been months and some of the most humiliating results in living memory under Pedro.

He got the benefit of the doubt after MW left but now he's had the chance to put his mark on the team, the board have backed him and the early indications are that this will be another season of hurt.

The most worrying this is how none of the players seem to understand the system. I don't blame them either! Can anyone honestly say they watched those 2 games and know how Pedro is trying to play? I certainly don't!

Not to be wide but i'm sure its 433 but depending on who plays in midfield. Its either 2 holding dms rossiter and Jack or 1 holding dm and 2 further forward. Its an old tactic it doesn't work. We need something new at leat 2 up front build a proper striking partnership like hatley and mccoist prso and novo miller and boyd.

OK it wasn't the best game I've ever seen but it was this teams first competitive match some good performances --Nicko jack. And one or two others Please Guys support the team it takes time to jell some posts suggest we are going no where be positive rather than negative Plenty others who hate us will provide the negativity.

The negativity is probably to do with the fact we were playing one of the lowest ranked teams in the competition from Luxembourg

@bengy25 - we have no God given right to beat anybody. Its the first competitive match of the season. If we are still playing this bad by October, then fair enough criticise away. Until then, dry your eyes.

1st game out? It wasn't great, but it was positive from many angles. Let's be patient first game and not all 1st choice players available al-in-all pretty good i'd say.

I think once we gel and Pena, Herrera and Alves are in the fold then we will be a very different prospect and I do honestly think we will score enough goals next week to put the tie to bed comfortably, in the next round though the Cypriot side (AEL I think) we give us a real game where we will have to be at our clinical best to win, there no mugs at all and it will show us just how far along the road back we are

Ok we played well for at 10 mins the rest was gutless and pathetic What on earth did the fans come onto the park for It was against Thistle for gods sake! I hope the manager gets the majority of players he's after because the present team can't cut it and don't appear to follow what the manager wants ( I hope it's the players and not tactics ) Role on next season it must be better.
