MW in frame for England U21's.

UnionJack

1.) 21 Dec 2016 12:55:22
he has too much ambition for club football level to be talked into ruining his career.

2.) 21 Dec 2016 13:20:16
Dont see how it would ruin his career taking england u21 job a mean southgate has done no bad out of it and it is his style develop young players so seems like a fit to me hope he don't go though.

3.) 21 Dec 2016 16:28:07
No chance, they don't play 433 lol.

14 Dec 2016 08:21:38
Chelsea interested in Billy Gilmour.

UnionJack

1.) 14 Dec 2016 09:25:41
Old news? Very much doubt the boy will leave us to go downsouth. I also doubt his parents fancy moving down south for a young boy showing potential, who for all we know could end up a good league 1 player all his days.

2.) 14 Dec 2016 09:54:56
Lots of clubs want wee Gilmore.

3.) 14 Dec 2016 10:55:17
It has worked out really well for all the forgotten, talented young Scottish players who departed a Scottish club to make it down south.

But seriously, how on earth do teams go for players when they're that age. Trying to unearth the next big thing for peanuts when money certainly is no object for any team in England's top flight.

How can you tell if a player at his age is going to go on and make it at even 20, 21, 22. It's impossible to predict what goes on in that time.

4.) 14 Dec 2016 12:50:52
Seen somewhere chelseas offered 500000 for gilmour, if he's aloud to leave before making a first team apperance then were back to the days of losing our most promising players before they can show our fans exactly why their tipped from the top, imo mw should get him signed up on a long term deal and try and put off potential buyers, gilmour has the potential to be one of the best we've ever seen at ibrox, its just a question if he would rathe make money, or make a legacy, and if he can even fulfill his ppotential.

5.) 14 Dec 2016 13:19:58
GOING DOWN SOUTH RUINS YOUNG BOYS CHANCES.
I still think if danny Wilson ruined his chance to maqke it at the highest level by leaving us too young.

6.) 14 Dec 2016 14:50:14
Agree on Danny Wilson, who was very badly advised to move to Liverpool when he did.

7.) 14 Dec 2016 16:03:57
The problem is rangers need to wait until he's 16 before making him a pro contract, but that also means every other club can do the same, it's down to him and his parents to then pick where he wants to go.

8.) 14 Dec 2016 18:18:41
What kid in their right mind would go to a top Premier league club? If he cares about the football he'll learn his trade before making the move to a top team!

9.) 16 Dec 2016 19:21:26
A couple of coupons for a free drink in the louden tavern should seal the deal.

10.) 16 Dec 2016 22:46:52
Barca Bayern Chelsea all supposedly looking at him would be such a shame to see him go before he turns 16 that's the nature of the game now money talks.

Reliable source says Yoann Gourcuff is the mystery striker.

UnionJack

1.) 27 Jul 2016 17:15:51
Who gourcouff the midfielder?

2.) 27 Jul 2016 17:15:51
Who gourcouff the midfielder?

3.) 27 Jul 2016 17:17:52
People making stuff up again. gourcuff is a midfielder.

4.) 27 Jul 2016 17:20:50
I heard the mystery striker was fabricio collicini.

5.) 27 Jul 2016 17:29:38
He's out of contract as far as I'm aware. Had a one year deal with rennes (average French team) He can actually play across the front 3 which fits MW tastes. He's technically brilliant and only 30. Could be a lot of BS but this is the first name I've heard recently that's realistic! He's a class player that's been a bit off his game. Would love this to be true. Assuming there is no source though?

6.) 27 Jul 2016 17:37:21
this mystery striker stuff is getting silly now its a fitba player no the nxt james bond we just nd to bide our time and see what happens bears hopefully the magic hat pulls out beauty.

7.) 27 Jul 2016 18:03:53
It's Ally McCoist - needs the cash to pay for his new house. Prolific.

8.) 27 Jul 2016 20:30:03
It's captain Ted striker from the aeroplane movies.

16 May 2016 23:35:39
Barton to sign if we win cup and qualify for Europe.

UnionJack

1.) 17 May 2016 09:55:33
I've saw this on a few forums and although I agree European football would be a big draw for many players we would not be seeded and have to make it through the qualifiers which is not guaranteed so wouldn't think a decision would depend on this.

2.) 17 May 2016 15:33:01
players also look at how the team is doing just now and what players are being brought in to improve the squad. if he looks at the old firm and what warbs is doing this transfer window he might just want to be part of something.

Well now that the dust has settled and the hangover has wore off ( unfortunately ) from yesterday’s embarrassment our great club finds itself at a crossroads in the direction it must choose.

I’ve been a fan of Murty, the way he’s stepped in to steady the ship on a couple of occasions, even believing he was tactically aware and his handling of press conferences. But in recent weeks evidence since the defeat to Celtic then his times up. Baffling team selections and even line ups has left me fearing the worse for the split.

King hasn’t helped with his usual rhetoric about challenging next season when although the points gap has reduced we are still miles behind Celtic both on and off the park. Should we now build for a challenge in 2/ 3 seasons time or go all in again with the hope we get lucky and Celtic get complacent? Personally I’m on record saying plenty of times we could have built something special when we were demoted to the 3rd division but due to financial mismanagement amongst other issues we went down the overpaid numpty route and had the displeasure of paying good money to watch Kevin Kyle, Ian Black etc.

As a Rangers fan I can accept, hard though it is, getting beat. Especially from Celtic. But what I can’t accept is lack of passion, effort and fight from someone wearing the famous blue jersey.

Can we as fans accept another couple of years of hurt fighting the likes of The Sheep, Hibs and Hearts for 2nd before mounting a serious challenge to Celtic or do we continue to waste money on another batch of imposters in June with false hope?
Only one thing is certain. We as fans deserve better for the loyalty we have shown over the last 6 years and never to be treated to a performance like Sunday from our team again.
Rangers Then, Rangers Now, Rangers Forever.

1.) 16 Apr 2018 17:40:58
agree with every word jack

i’ve just snapped my cruciate and my physio is a big jungle

i had to sit through all his gloating this morning but thing that hurt the most was he said what’s happening to rangers just now wldnt happen to sellic as their fans wldnt put up with all the crap that’s gone on with whyte and greene etc etc 1 charlatan after another ripping the club off - sellic fans wld stand up for their club and make change happen unlike us

i thought the cruciate was sore but having him
have a go at my club, my team is 1 thing but putting boot into my fellow fans is another. I fought our corner best I could but hangover today was worse than i thought

2.) 16 Apr 2018 17:45:25
Well said nothing to add

3.) 16 Apr 2018 18:59:15
UJ, a sensible post and some thought provoking comments.
It just seems like deja vu every year at this time.
Share issue, season ticket funds, select the right manager, back him with funds.
They one guy who spouts all this expects the fans and anyone else to actually put up the cash.
Great opportunity missed when the team was in bottom tier and could have blooded young players but NO the manager had to overspend on quick fixes and any funds just kept disappearing.
Even before that when the Yank stepped up with cash and a plan. NO, must not have someone who does not understand the roots of the club. (so what if he is a successful businessman, he is not a rangers man)
One debacle after another and how much more can the decent loyal supporter take?
Your point is spot on, 'till now, the supporters have expected instant success which has not (and probably never was going to) happen. Can the supporters live with some pain like those other clubs (lets not forget that club across the city was close to it as well)?
I think if supporters saw a viable plan put on the table then most would go with it

4.) 16 Apr 2018 19:14:27
You covered it all union jack! Very good and oh so true post mate!

5.) 16 Apr 2018 20:01:44
Ldm17 your having a laugh he's shocking one of worst keepers I've saw at rangers!
And all these so called fans playing for us now weee embarrassing yesterday! tav was only player who looked ok. The rest were dug meat.

6.) 17 Apr 2018 02:23:09
Agree with questioning Wes ability but sadly only one in five or six who need to get shipped.

25 Jan 2018 22:31:58
We certainly dodged a bullet with McInnes knocking us back, as he's now been horsed 3 times by Murty.
Rode our luck second half with some fantastic saves from big Wes. Thought Goss was outstanding along with Holt.

UnionJack

1.) 25 Jan 2018 23:25:41
Dodged a bullet and road our luck in the same statement. . a wee mixed message there ehh? Let's enjoy the victory and leave Mr McInnes be. He had his reasons.

2.) 26 Jan 2018 00:33:45
Spot on Dutch, Totally agree.

3.) 26 Jan 2018 00:45:59
Aberdeen had a wee 8 minute spell of pressure out if the whole 97 minute match and only because wee took our knee off there throat.

Lads, can I just take this opportunity to highlight the charity just giving page. This is set up by the Eds who let us spout our nonsense / opinions and this year they have chosen a local charity - Hamilton Foodbank.
Sometimes we all need to take a wee step back and realise how well off we all are - especially at Xmas time.
Let’s help them smash the £750 target!

UnionJack

1.) 21 Oct 2017 10:15:48
@Union Jack here is a first, I TOTALLY AGREE with you lol

2.) 21 Oct 2017 09:53:37
Well said Union Jack I agree totally, great cause it's just very sad that we need food banks in this day and age, hopefully they'll reach the target and more.

3.) 21 Oct 2017 11:32:49
Well said union jack any help for a food bank is great there are always people to help.

4.) 21 Oct 2017 11:46:36
Union do you have a link?

{Ed001's Note - this is the link: Hamilton food bank toy appeal

5.) 21 Oct 2017 16:01:50
Well said Union Jack, we should all be supporting good causes like food banks. I'd really like to know which imbecile is disagreeing with your post, obviously a prize ars**ole.

01 Jan 2017 10:14:35
Can I just take this opportunity to wish everyone health and happiness for 2017.
And to all the Ed's well done for running a great site.

UnionJack

{Ed001's Note - Happy New Year to you too UJ, I hope 2017 is a good one for you.}

1.) 01 Jan 2017 12:48:18
+1 Jack.

And why anyone would disagree with your sentiments I have no idea.

2.) 01 Jan 2017 13:33:18
@naz - probably the same kind of bawbags that think it's OK to disrupt a minutes silence? Even though they disagree my sentiments are directed at them as well. Good will to all men etc.

Can’t see us bidding a total of £8 million for 2 players personally. $8 million Dembele Dollars ( £18 .72 at current exchange rates ) maybe?

@DL - a great return for a player who supposedly goes missing and is playing in the worst Rangers team ever according to some.
Just think what he might achieve with a decent manager and stability in the coaching staff.
P.S. I would still take the £3 million!

If Jimmy Nichol was guilty of the same as KM and LW then surely he would have been suspended as well. Especially since you claim that Murty didn't want him as his number 2 so therefore has no loyalty to him?
Sorry for those reasons alone I'm calling bull!

@AD - so you don't think being within 12 points of celtic with the supposedly ' worst ' Rangers team ever is any way positive? Factor in the disaster of Pedro's reign and signings and finishing the season with 2 different caretaker managers then we have too be optimistic. Let's see what signings Gerrard makes or even if he can improve what we already have.

I think Zidane has a far higher quality of player at his disposal than the new Rangers manager will.
