Sima, long term, Danilo on crutches, Silva can't be judged yet, dessers has just come onto a game but could go backwards again. I would have thought after out striker less run to the final they would have acted.

Fintytint whi says they never acted if there's no player within our price range we shouldn't be buying for the sake of buying and we can hardly go and force clubs to sell or players to sign. There's so much hyperbole out there maybe we should relax a bit and actually enjoy supporting our club.

I I dunno Finty, we've swapped Lammers for Silva, have Diomande in to likely replace Cifuentes, and have added a right winger for the first time in years. don't think that's too bad. Another striker would have been nice but we've got Danilo and Sima to come back in and guys like Roofe still picking up a good wage, so not surprised we've not added another into that mix.

I get they're due to be out until the start of April. But the season runs till June, and they'll both be on good money, as will Roofe and Dessers and Silva. We can't just keep spending cash on strikers. the manager has wanted Silva, and has chosen to strengthen midfield and the wing. We won't even be able to add all the new signings to the euro squad as it is (given PC has said he wants another LB in there) .

Nizzy, we have been on a downward projector since we won the league and the blame lies 100% with the Board. Unfortunately that is all history now and it is unto Bennett and Bisgrove to ensure that we now make the correct appointments for both a DoF and a manager. Both need to be top quality and funds need to be found to sort out this unholy mess of a Team.
Personally I would also like to see some new investment and a few changes to the Board.

We need to stop talking about managers who can develop players to sell, managers who have taken small clubs to success, managers who have vast experience but won feck all. We need a manager who will attract quality players and a board who will back him. SG got my vote and was given 4 years. We have moved on. I didn’t want Gio but he delivered a successful season. I didn’t want Beale at all. As for the candidates not sure but wouldn’t bet against Lampard.

Berkshire. totally agree with you but to sort out this mess we would most probly have to get rid of the dross to get funds. who in their right mind would look at them (dessers offers worse than nothing. lammers offers a tad more. I am still very hopeful on Danilo tho) cifu I didn't even know played football I Thot it was a food like tofu ? honestly it looks like we are in truly awful trouble. I hope not. my choice is sayin lampard for the fact he will give youth a chance. rice. Lovelace devine, Lowry but not all at the same time guys who will give u 110 to prove . these boys have ability that are equivalent to any teams youngsters in the league so why not?

Perhaps I am grasping at straws but I am still hoping that Bennett and Bisgrove have a plan to take us forward that includes significant new investment, a quality new DoF and a quality Manager. Why else would Bennett decide to concentrate full time on the Chairman role.
We need new blood in the Boardroom, personally I would get Souness onboard as he at least understands football and is a winner.
We need to get rid of some of the current Board, that I dare say would mean finding someone to buy their shares, and I remain unconvinced by our current Chief Scout!

First thing that should be done today is to pull Wright in and just give him a package to walk. Even if he's put on the equivalent of garden leave, I wouldn't even let him train with the youths. Our Board needs to set the tone going forward and this would be a start. If they could do the same with others who's contracts are up soon then so be it. The fact the only outfield player that tried last night is a loanee tells you all you need to know about this lot of imposters. Who can honestly confidently say we'll finish second in the league at worst?

Firstly, I don’t know much about Muscat but regardless if he had success off Ange’ teams then credit to him for continuing that success. It’s been proven that it’s difficult to keep the momentum going.
Also, we had never heard of Ange before he came and we all know how that turned out!
He tapped into markets that we never did and found a few gems compared to the high cost of our failures.
Maybe Muscat would provide the attacking style of football we crave for like his countryman before him?

Thought the exact same myself, 3.5m well spent considering what he did against a Scottish team would have been money well spent in comparison to what Beale has spent on other targets this window, I genuinely hope i'm wrong but i fear he has wasted some of his budget, although with what has gone out the window we've broken even so hardly exactly the biggest transfer budget ever in recent years, i would still have licked to see a winger, Left sided centre back and potentially a left back coming in the door but i fear we won't bring anyone else in and imo that's wrong.

Stick by my assessment of no incoming until people sold Beale has spent a whack of money probably more than any other recent manager and results are mixed he doesn't trust his own signings.
The board would be mad to give him anymore signings at this point unless they are loans.

Beale will live or die by his decisions. He signed the players, he decides to leave a £6m striker on the bench, he picks the team, so far he doesn't appear to know what he is doing but come Sunday if he wins all will probably be forgiven by the majority of the fan base. at least until the next disaster occurs, either in Europe or against a team like Kilmarnock.
I'm not so sure that this will be the view that is taken by Bisgrove. From what I can see he is a pretty shrewd character and a total winner. Beals'e options are limited, if he doesn't start to get results against top teams and show that his signings playing to his tactics are capable of winning games and scoring goals without conceding, he will be looking over his shoulder!

According to the manager we have broken even on transfer deals so what happened to any transfer budget? Was there none? We still need a left sided centre back whether Davies stays or goes or ever gets fit . We still need a pacey right winger. Whether they are brought in on loan or bought doesn`t matter . The only acceptable reason for not doing this is that the don`t want to give Beale anymore money to waste, therefore his sacking must be imminent.
