2016/ 17 strip to be used again for the forthcoming 2017/ 18 season according to Stuart Robertson.

1.) 21 Jun 2017 18:45:44
Only in Europe will the old kit be used

{Ed039's Note - I believe it's to be used in the league as well, that's my understanding anyway)

2.) 21 Jun 2017 18:51:21
I think it will be a new away strip though, I do like that strip reminds me of the 86/ 87 top

3.) 21 Jun 2017 20:09:26
Home strip from 16/ 17 will be worn for both SPL and European competition, however Rangers working with Puma on design and distribution of brand new 2nd and 3rd strip

4.) 21 Jun 2017 20:37:10
Andbak turning into Yoda there 😂

5.) 21 Jun 2017 20:58:03
Although i liked the home kit from the season just passed i would of liked to see us getting a new one in for the new season but hey ho, at least we can actually buy it now lads

6.) 21 Jun 2017 21:18:39
@RTID1995 Puma didn't want to make kits them not to be sold as the new deal was only finalised today it wasn't in time for the deadline

7.) 21 Jun 2017 22:21:57
With the Home kit selling in SD for £15-20 this will not create the level of income that other major clubs realise, but it's a start I suppose

8.) 21 Jun 2017 22:58:40
so when is safe to buy and know more money goes the right way? itching to get my hands on one now!

9.) 22 Jun 2017 03:46:16
Snell the deal is done you can start purchasing again. The home kit from last season was submitted to uefa and will be our home kit for the coming season as design, marketing and getting a new one out will take too much time however King did state the club are looking into a kit launch between now and start of spfl season (new away and/ or 3rd kit I'd presume) .

10.) 22 Jun 2017 09:19:40
top man SGG. many thanks for clarifying

11.) 22 Jun 2017 11:17:52
Snell just back from the megastore. . best of luck getting your kit mate the place is pretty much sold out 😂

12.) 22 Jun 2017 11:55:02
I think it's pretty telling that we signed again with 32Red again for the coming season. We realistically couldn't have went anywhere else due to the last seasons home kits being printed with their logo and now being used for this coming season.
I'm sure they didn't divulge the intention to use the current home kit to 323 Red mind, when negotiating.

I'd have preferred a completely new design myself and consign all things last season to the past. But at least we can buy the new gear again. A huge positive. Truly fantastic job by Mr King and the other board members and I think people should now get off their backs and realise the job the've done. Well done to the fans for sticking to your guns as well throughout the embargo.

According to Fox News we are paying £3m+ for Pena and he should be presented on 13th of June.

g4rry

1.) 30 May 2017 18:02:11
What's that smell?

2.) 30 May 2017 18:35:13
According to Fox News Donald Trump is a genius so I wouldn't listen to much of what they have to say

3.) 30 May 2017 20:00:33
Fox News has reported that a Director of Pena's Club has confirmed that an agreement has been reached with Rangers in respect of his transfer. From what I have read it is Fox News that are quoting a price of $4m, which at current exchange rates is approx. £3.2m.

It is not bs., it is what is being reported. Fox is a good Sports Channel and one that covers UK Soccer as well as games from the Mexican League.

4.) 30 May 2017 20:24:58
i am glad to see the board are finally realising we need buy qaulity players and to get them you have to pay decent sums of money reality must have either hit home with the board

5.) 30 May 2017 20:57:33
What's that I smell Hubble pie ronnieR9

Thanks Tomusa

6.) 30 May 2017 21:05:58
Hope Pedro knows what he's doing here. Important when you start shelling out that sort of sum for a midfield player they hit the ground running and have some future value too. Guessing it's a big piece of Pedro's jigsaw, and looks like he has been give. Carte Blanche to get his own team.

Brave decision from the board, just hoping it pays off.

7.) 30 May 2017 21:51:58
Humble pie nothing! Do u honestly believe we will shell out that kind of money on one player😂

8.) 30 May 2017 23:20:13
Can somebody link this news article quoting the $4m price please? 🙄 Anybody that believes rangers have 3m to fork out on one player is dreaming 😂😂

9.) 31 May 2017 00:24:53
Be so much upfront. then wee bit more depending on performances.

10.) 31 May 2017 07:21:41
I read this too, maybe too many underestimating what our finances are and how far King will go with his backing.

11.) 31 May 2017 07:22:32
The final fee announced will be slightly inflated just like the fees announced by Celtic for the trio that went to Southampton. The final fee will include contingent payments and sell on fees so it appears we are spending more money. Good to see the gers fans aren't falling for it like the other side of the city!

12.) 31 May 2017 09:54:21
Tom Marshall posted a video on his Twitter saying he believes the deal for Pena will go through. Says he doesn't think the club/ agent/ lawyers would allow the talks to go this far if they didn't believe a work permit was possible. I also read this morning that it is going to be less than the 3 mil first thought. (Can't find that article anymore so take that as you will)

13.) 31 May 2017 09:58:28
You need to realise that king knows he can't get away with not spending any money now, he sees that it hasn't worked and has told PC that he will get a budget and he's finally living up to his word, why are so many doubting it?

14.) 31 May 2017 15:01:32
probably cause we have been promised for uears that we would get a good budget😂

15.) 31 May 2017 17:44:56
Numerous Media Outlets in Mexico, and I suspect across the UK now as well are reporting that Rangers need dispensation from the UK Border Agency and the SFA, and it’s believed that’s almost been granted.

The Media reports are saying that Club director José Luís Higuera has told Fox Sports in Mexico: “There’s an agreement about Carlos Peña with Rangers".

No transfer fee was mentioned by Higuera in the Reports that I have read but Fox Sports mentioned $4m

MOH back to st Johnston on loan till January.

g4rry

1.) 29 Jul 2017 23:02:56
why disagree? its a bloody fact

18 Jul 2017 17:00:30
Kinda worrying now and yes I know it's a closed door match but losing 1 nil to st Johnston isn't filling the squad with confidence or the fact we've failed to score again.

g4rry

1.) 18 Jul 2017 17:32:39
Terrible performance, yet again. We just can't score at the moment- hope PC is having sleepless nights and comes up with a solution. the clock is ticking.

2.) 18 Jul 2017 17:57:51
Agree with you g4rry-I know it's the Rangers website and they probably present a skewed view of the game but from the report it sounds like last season ie-plenty of chances created with none taken. Every striker missed at least one good chance so doesn't sound like Herrera or Morelos are hitting the ground running. I know all the arguments are sound re not paying over the odds for Walker but he scored more than any of our players in the SPFL so I think we need to bite the bullet and pay what Hearts are prepared to accept. Otherwise we run the risk of another difficult year with a toothless strike force. I'll probably get loads of disagrees from the financially prudent amongst us but we need a guaranteed goalscorer-not someone who might/ maybe/ could possibly get us 20 goals a season but somebody who can and will and I say Jamie Walker is someone who can and will.

3.) 18 Jul 2017 18:06:44
Apparently we were hopeless again and senior players beginning to question Pedro's ability as a manager/ coach. I predicted after European debacle he would be away before end of summer transfer window at end of August.

he may be lucky to still be there at start of August. We have signed a better standard of player than in previous seasons but it appears as though they haven't got a clue what Pedro's tactics are.

22 Jun 2017 11:25:37
Pena and Herrera pictured training this morning so expect them to be announced later today or tomorrow.

10 Nov 2016 16:13:27
Well it's now official over with regards to Barton with a short statement and no further comment but where is the transparency King and co promised?

g4rry

1.) 10 Nov 2016 21:39:31
Part of the pay off is a confidentiality clause by both sides you can't just disclose that's the law.

2.) 11 Nov 2016 14:04:55
the transparency that they where talking about is the running of the club and where our money is going nothing to do with letting people know about disciplinary matters!

15 Oct 2016 01:02:10
I know I sound like a broken record but if the reports are true and Barton's suspicion has been extended again then OMG sort it out been dragging on long enough, personal out midfield is looking better wothout him but to drag it on for this long is wrong no matter what anyone thinks he's stay a human being with rights!

g4rry

1.) 15 Oct 2016 06:30:40
This drama is giving us bad press, making us look school boy in terms of managing a troublesome player and at the same time we are wasting a reported 15/ 20k a week on him when we could at least be using him in the squad.

2.) 15 Oct 2016 08:14:29
As far as the statement goes his ban was extended at his request this time.

3.) 15 Oct 2016 09:09:58
He never asked for his ban to be extended, he asked the SFA for an extension to go over paperwork given to him by the SFA regarding his gambling charge. its the club that has extended his ban, again! its a shambles, its needs sorted now, we are fast becoming a laughing stock!

4.) 15 Oct 2016 21:34:09
There is something called'law' whether it be legal commercial or employment. Rangers are keeping themselves right by extending the 'holding' position until it's time to proceed to the next step.
Get a grip guys, the days of kicking someone out the door disappeared before Thatcher!
(Of course some of you might not remember her LOL! )

Sorry mistyped McInnes is not happy that the board want options and he isn’t the only one there interested in as for Tony Doc he apparently won’t go to Rangers not that Rangers don’t want him so I’ve been told not sure if I believe it or not myself, according to this guy this will be the 4th time he’s knocked us back which is why I’d rather we looked elsewhere

I friend of mine who is an Aberdeen fan has stated that Rangers have made an unofficial contact with Aberdeen and that McInnes is not happy about being the only candidate and that his assistant has no interest in coming to us his source is Duncan Skinner

They dragged there heals last season which effectively cost us 2nd spot and there making the same mistake again
