Waste of wages? Whilst he hasn't progressed as I certainly hoped, he was hardly a waste of a wage. Always put in max effort and seemed to be willing to play anywhere - didn't work out for him but certainly not for lack of willingness on his part (at least that's my view) .

The boy at least put in 100% when he played for us (can many other current players say they have done the same for our jersey in every game - don't think so? ) and for may games was played out of position.

Well said TB85, definitely not a waste of wages. The lad tried his heart out but just hasn't made it. He was immense v PSV Eindhoven and I wish him the very best. I'm not sad to see him go but I don't think we should be disparaging about his contribution.

Why all the disrespect for him. He'll go on and have a decent career and claim his place back in the USA team. You can tell he's technically gifted and has a good Football IQ. The lad was at the heart of our defence and kept a clean sheet as an auxiliary CB as we got into the CL. His main downfall was probably his willingness to just play and not bide time for his position.

No, Sands wasnt thrown to any lions he is just not good enough for us - he was dreadful in europa league qualifiers - then slipped all over the park in league game - not good enough.

I wouldn't say they were thrown to the lions. They got asked to do a job, done their best, but it wasn't good enough. More so Sands than King. Sands got brought over as a defensive midfielder that can also play at CB, King was unlucky in that he is young and never had a proper, experienced defender to ay beside him as they were all injured. He had Sands to play beside, who was no help to him or the team. How do you think he is on the bench and ready to get sent back? MB sees this and knows he has no future at Rangers. Wish the guy well, but as I said in a previous comment, he has cost us in important games with his rash tackles and poor decision making. Not going to Knock the guys attitude, he gave 100%. But never was thrown to the lions. In life sometimes you have to sink or swim.

Sands is neither a defender or a midfielder for me you would have to be a midfielder first defender second to play defensive mid role (jack/ lundstrum/ kamara) sands just falls short on both positions rock and hard place for him at Ibrox will only ever play due to injuries.
