Scotland came down with a thump last night, they are beating everyone they play but that England team, especially Bellingham were a few notches above. Booing the anthem was disrespectful for me, no need for that, whether you’re SNP or not, manners maketh.

Both sets of fans were as bad as each other mate. I read someone on here have a go at English fans booing the minute's silence for C Brown, but after the Scottish fans booed the national anthem, and sang about "lizzie in a box", what did everyone expect? They're both as bad as each other. Honestly, grown men singing about an old lady that died, and the other side booing a tribute for an absolute gentleman of the game, the mind boggles.

Daviedouglas- there is rivalry and there’s downright ignorance. Rivalry is good for the game, but I wasn’t sure if that game was being played in Dublin or Glasgow. Scottish people are renowned the world over for being a race of humour and fairness and it’s a good trait. By the way DD I’m not Scottish, I’m Northern Irish with an Ulster Scots background and I’m proud of it.

You can’t be a Rangers fan yet sit amongst the Scotland support mocking the death of the Queen. Those aren’t Rangers fans.

As a Rangers fan I find it impossible to support the international team anymore. Especially after the events of 2012 when every football fan in Scotland wanted Rangers name scrubbed from the history books.

I love the fact they had the chance of a glamour friendly last night, having had 5 wins, and Scotland just bottle it again. Overly defensive football, won't attack, too scared to get beat but they just got pumped anyway. I bet Stevie Clarke learned a lot from that hiding.

Can’t stand the tartan army, no doubt the press will say it was all good natured banter. It doesn’t take much to show respect by keeping quiet whether it be for a minute silence or someone else’s national anthem which showed the mentality of both sets of fans last night. Davie we all know this is a lot more than booing your rival’s national anthem it’s hatred to all things British.

Never really understood the anti-Scotland sentiment amongst our support and couldn't really care what political party any other fans support.

I wouldn't boo a national anthem, but at the same time don't see there being any issue with it.

Thought the booing of the minute silence and the 'lizzie in a box' chant were both classless, but unfortunately football seems to attract that crowd - just need to listen to some of the bile spouted by our fans at Ibrox.

Gotta laugh at Rangers fans slagging other fans behaviour. I know it gets called out here often which I appreciate but some the stuff our fans sing is up there with the worst in football.

I also agree with you DD, I just don't equate supporting Scotland with any politics. I am Scottish and proud of it, don't see why being a Rangers fan should affect that in any way. I have always held the SFA in dusdain but have never let them get in the way of supporting my country, just as I would not let a section of the Scottish fans do.

Verdant, get where your coming from and for a while I hated all the other Scottish clubs for the reaction to what happened in 2012. There came a stage in last couple of years, possibly 55, where I just thought I had enough of the hate as there is too much already in Scottish football and want to get enjoyment from football and not animosity.

Legitimate question are Rangers fans actually Scottish? I've never seen so many anti Scottish fans from a Scottish club. A lot you always seem to lambast Scots for this and that. It's like none of you have been to an old firm hame. You call out Scottish fans for the same thing I've heard and seen both sides of the old firm do for years. It's mind boggling to me that many can't get behind your national team. You seem so overwhelmed by politics, religion and being a royalist over being Scottish. It's mental to me.

Myles, as you probably come over here often you will have noticed that some on here do call out our own fans regularly. And I have been to lots of old firm games at home but also quite a few away from home which gets ignored by both Celtic, their fans and the press. I want Scotland to win like most on here but i have called out the tartan army just like I have called out the so called rangers fans on this site.

Got to laugh at some of you on here getting upset because Scotland booed the English anthem the oldest rivalry in football, yet don't complain with the absolute bile that belts out our stands every other week.
Verdant I can be whatever I want to be mate I'm a rangers supporter and a proud tartan army at the same time me and 10 other rangers supporters have followed Scotland everywhere for 20 years and funnily enough none of us are into religion or politics we're just proud of who we are and where we're from.
Sir Walter I've never had a conversation about snp when following Scotland in 20 years so no sure where you get that from you must have been unlucky.
Someone also wrote growing men singing about an old lady that died does that person realise that our fans sing about paramilitary groups that killed hundreds of innocent woman men children. It's absolutely laughable our fans pointing out the behaviour of any fans get our own house in order then we can point fingers.

Myles_1979cfc, apart from the hatred from 2012 onwards by opposing fans and lack of support from the SFA when we were in trouble the booing of Rangers players by the Scotland fans makes it impossible for me to support Scotland . The team has been hijacked by the Nationalist agenda which is based on the hatred of the English . That is what reared its ugly head last night. Its not the usual rivalry the way it used to be, it is now something far more distasteful. I`m a Rangers supporter and I don`t follow Scotland but if others do then that fair enough . Never Forgive, Never Forget is how I see it.

Wsl you honestly don't know what your talking about because as you said you don't follow Scotland so how can you know what's going on with the fan base? I don't have a hatred for anyone nor does the 10 rangers supporting tartan army I travel with. Last night my friends and I bumped into 6 English fans went to pub before game and met up after so that kind of blows your theory rite out the water. It's actually a great rivalry the way it should be. Can I ask you a question if it was the other way around would you have voted celtic out the league? Of course you would have, we had an unfair advantage with ebt's that other teams didn't have so that's considered an advantage, we got caught got punished move on instead of crying about and wanting the sfa to rite our wrongs. Don't paint everyone with the same brush mate that would be the same as people thinking all rangers fans sing songs of hate and agree with it I certainly don't do you?
