Our defensive frailties need to be addressed ahead of our offensive inefficiency. If we get Lawrence, Roofe, and Matondo all fit, and Hagi back, we will be fine.
BTW, Hagi came in after 63 minutes yesterday when Alaves was 2-0 down in a game away to Atletico Madrid. He completely changed the dynamic of the game, had a couple of chances, and provided a perfect assist for his teammate to make it 2-1. Beale was completely wrong about him (and others. )

John227 – not sure why you sound so convinced about that. We won with him before (remember, we were 6 points ahead when he got injured - and then lost the title, won nothing since) . You were saying we need better, but Lammers and Dessers are not better than Hagi and Colak.

Molsgoals – that was not the case here: in 8 official games, Beale brought him in as a sub only twice, once it was after 90 minutes of play and once in a cup game.

To be blunt, if we could secure a good fee for Hagi I would take it, indeed the same could be said for the vast majority of the players that we currently have on our books. For too long now we have been signing players that are either injury prone or simply not good enough; that needs to change.

We now have a quality manager, arguably the first quality manager since the days of Souness, Advocaat and Walter. He needs to be supported with the quality of players needed to win the SPL and to make serious progress in Europe.
Of course that is easier said than done but that is the job of our Board, it doesn't always mean having the ability to throw shed loads of £ notes to secure players but it does mean having a quality Dof and a quality Scouting Network. That we haven't had!

It’s not a case of we’re tryna sign Hagi here.
He’s our player.
He’s better than lammers in that position so we bring him back for 2nd part of the season, unless we can bring in someone better than both then Hagi is a better option than lammers.
If come the summer Hagi isn’t performing to the required level then he can be moved on along with lammers.
But right now Hagi improves that team so why wouldn’t we recall and play him.

Hagi isn't the answer, and just because he's better than Lammers (wouldn't be hard), it doesn't mean he's going to comeback and all of a sudden become a player. Hagi, for me, was one of the most overrated players we have had for a good few years. Honestly, the way some would wax lyrical about him, considering he only had one stand out game, and scored a couple of winners, was a real head scratcher.

Hagi is 100 times better than Lammers and we may need someone better but there is no doubt we haven`t got them. We need to bring in two or three in January, bringing back Hagi would give us another alternative to having to include Lammers and Wright in the squad especially as we don`t know whether Lawrence and Dowell will be fit.

I agree we need to want better all the time, but if we can’t get better for various different reasons in January, then I think what some are saying, including myself, Is bring him back and play him instead of lammers at least til the summer.

Surely u would agree he offers more than lammers from what we’ve seen so far?

If I’m the summer we can improve then we move both them on and bring in 1 player and bring Lowry back to play back up as atm Lawrence looks as injury prone as Roofe.

Are we getting a fee for him being out on loan?

If this is all the case then perhaps best to move him on.
I’d be looking for £5m though and even 10% of future profit above that fee.

Stevie. My understanding as reported we received near one million for a season long loan, so if we cut it short they will rightly want a portion returned which is fair.

He is in fact struggling just now, but I think that’s down to rebuilding his fitness levels after a terrible injury

Your fee and sell on would represent good business imo.
