I'm in Turkey just now and have seen a few newspapers with pictures of JL.
Dont speak or read Turkish so not sure what they say.
Just thought I'd share.

The Turkish Media is of the view that Lundstrum has already agreed to sign and will be moving to Turkey next season. The press comment appears to stem from beIN Sports who claim “an agreement in principle” has been reached between the player and club and discussions are now at an advanced stage with an annual wage of €2m having been agreed.

Outstanding result last night, in all honesty should've been many more.
I know Nice had a depleted squad but 4 goals away in Europe is superb.
How does this squad go from these performances to absolutely dire play domestically? I know there is low block, park the bus etc, but surely moving the ball quickly closing down, supporting the front players quickly is not beyond them in SPL?

Yes they had injuries but just had a look at them the majority of players that started last night beat Monaco a few games ago, first home defeat this season ?.

Watching performances this season l find myself worrying about what our position will be come the season end.
I just wonder how we can play pretty well in Europe ( l know our last opponents were not world beaters) we did move the ball reasonably fast. I get it that in SPL we normally have a wall of opponents in front of us, but, we just need to look across the city to see how pace and quickly supporting the attack from midfield can bring results. I know they have better players than us but l honestly thought we should have had enough to see off most SPL teams.
I find it concerning how easy teams seem to get behind us from a break. It's fine saying we had chances (not taken) we had most of the play, but the problem remains everytime our opponents break we look like we could lose a goal.

A lack of pace in key positions hampers us.
But I think we seen with Sterling ( think around 80+ minutes ) when a Rangers attack broke down he got from the Motherwell box back to the Rangers box to break up a Motherwell attack. It’s that kind of attitude we need in the team.

We have got enough to see off most of the other SPL teams and we have done. We probably should have beaten Kilmarnock as well .
We do look open on the transition at times especially when Propper is playing but partly because our full backs get caught up the pitch, especially Tavernier who is really struggling to get back.
Still say that our main issue is at the other end where we would win games more comfortably and win games we have dropped points in if we could put away the easy chances we make. Its more than that though, its the fact that we don`t hold the ball up and build play off our centre forward and we can`t play balls in behind to stretch defences and make space for others. He has no pace, no presence and is poor in the air. We could almost take any big striker from one of our lesser opponents and they would improve us . Has to be a priority signing in January .

All areas are poor.
Dessers is out biggest weakness, then Tav.
The "system" or "style" (if there is one) doe snot suit the players and the super slow build up from the back kills any chance to out number opponents.
The issue we have is what other team is going to buy these players when they look out their depth in a pub league.
Raskin and Barron are the only really light in that squad. Souttar has been playing well also.
Cerny has his moments but i'm still not certain on him.
Bajrami looks too light weight for the Scottish game, most times he got the ball yesterday, he would pass it backwards and rarely if ever, took on his defender. Even his goal was deflected past the keeper. fair enough he is played out of position but that doesn't change his ability.

Back to bread and butter stuff tomorrow after a very good result Thursday.
Like most l am hoping we kick on, l just don't seem to be able to shake the niggle at the back of my mind regarding our performances in domestic league. I really hope we up the intensity but previous performances don't fill me with optimism, come on Rangers, make me eat my words.

I hear Drumchapel Amateurs have asked about a loan, damn good outfit back in my day ?
Unfortunately he can be a player on his day, attitude seems to stink though. Looks like gaffer tried the arm round the shoulder and the kick up the chorus and verse, nothing seems to work with the boy unfortunately, my humble opinion he needs to go, would his attitude change in pastures new? God only knows.
