Well Bears, having tried to make sense of the back pages today, it looks certain that an announcement will be made to the stock exchange next week of emergency funding from Ashley. It's an old saying but " How do you eat an elephant? The answer is a bit at at time"
That's exactly how Ashley is eating up Rangers

Ashley is in a power game now with other business men. It's their game now, it about ego.

The frustration of watching from the sidelines is horrible for all Rangers fans who have helped to build the assets of the Club over the years - now those assets are in a poker game with little chance of anyone other than Ashley winning - he has the most chips piled up at the table.

Let's hope King or the 3 Bears don't fold, let's hope they go "All in". The EGM may yet still see a change of board, but I fear we will forever owe an "IOU" to Ashley.

Ayr Bear

1.) All is not lost!

If King and The Three Bears manage to get control of Rangers at the forthcoming EGM (which seems feasible) then they will need serious funding to remove The Bored, MA and his loans, and start the slow process of rebuilding the infrastructure from the ground upwards.
I would like to see them meet with Sarver to come up with a reasonable plan of action to take on MA, and present this plan to all shareholders, especially those who are against them.
If they win I would like to see The New Rangers Board meet with those contractors who where out of pocket when RFC went into administration and come up with a plan to reimburse all monies owed - this gesture would put an end to the past wrongdoings of Whyte et al.

The BlueBells are Blue.

2.) Ayr Bear Bunch

We need funds right now to keep going so be they from the 3 Bears or Ashley it is still funding that has to be cleared when our new board brings in corporate governance, a complete restructuring of our wage structure, then addresses Season Tiicket campaign and sponsorship deals to bring our income up to higher than our outgoings. balancing the books.

So regardless of Ashley or 3 Bears whoever gives us funding until this new corporate restructuring is in place will have to be paid it doesn't make it harder if it is Ashley it is just a bonus if it is a straight loan with no Ibrox security.

The other option which will likely be used is a new share issue diluting current shares (bonus if dilutes Ashley especially), bringinging in millions to wipe all debts and most importantly allowing what Murray and King have been touting FAN ownership, hopfly 51% to ensure we never ever suffer the last 3 years again. A trusted group in our board of King, Murray, Gilligan and possibly 3 Bears will have no problems with this as fans will be over the moon to herald a new honest and open dawn. We showed in Div 4 and 3 plus green's share issue the level of support there if we feel we are making a difference

My other main hope is that ALL the dodgy contracts issued by green and pals, esp to Ashley in form of the kit deal plus any other deals are torn up or if we have to see them out then that a total boycott is organised officially to stop any money going to Ashley

3.) Ayr bear the only thing about this game of poker is Ashley has more money, but more to the point he knows everybody else's hand, due to his dealers on the board, ie the bears offer 5million, as the board said that was what was needed, then the slip Ashley the card, telling him to up the auntie, remember Ashley is supposed to be going on the blind, these dealers were not put there by Ashley, that will be the squeal to the sfa, no influence from Ashley, ma boz.

4.) George 123. Exactly, the deck is Stacked in MA favour. Puppet dealers!

5.) I am up waiting on it right now 6. 40am

Hope it is that teedle dum and Tweedle dee are out the picture with Dum selling his shares

Unlikely though I think

So, clothing chain USC ( owned by Sports Direct) is saved from insolvency by being bought by sister company Republic (owned by Sports Direct) and will continue to "trade as normal" according to the legally appointed insolvency firm. wait for it. Duff & Phelps!. I smell Sh*te!

Ayr Bear

1.) Posted that at the time of the usc collapse. question now is, was ashley involved even back when rangers went into admin, and was it really him that used d&p!!

2.) Anything is possible now Boyblue. question is. are we mad enough now to take action required?

3.) Ayr bear - Boycott Republic get yer togs oot a top man!!

ps
just a wee bit o banter for Friday afternoon before I go for a cold beer M8 its roastin here!

So, we now have proof that David Somers believed on October 10th that Dave Kings offer was better for the club, but that he and the Easdales would lose their positions at the club. So he pushed through a 3m package instead of a 16m package by Dave king. (Check article in Daily Record).

Question? Are officers of public listed companies not supposed to be bound to act in the best interest of said company at all times?

If anyone out there is in doubt that RFC is being run by anything or anyone other than self interested, duplicitous lowlife - you are deluded.

Enough is enough. This cannot be swept under the floor as I believe there may be grounds for legal action and it seems that The Sons of Struth are forging ahead. It's time to unite now guys, this is the final straw

Ayr Bear

1.) OP You did not read the full article he said also that King did not give proof that he had the money nor would he provide names of his consortium, he also points out that there is nothing stopping him from buying shares and getting his say through this route but up until now he has no shares and has not put a penny into the club. The whole thing is a mess with shysters playing with our club, I would be happy with king in charge but at this moment he is doing more harm than good.

2.) Jyf,

The email clearly states that the majority of the board preferred Kings proposal! And that Kings arrival would be the end for the 3 musketeers, hence Somers threatening tone to the lawyers. What part of 16m versus 3m do you not understand?

3.) 24 Dec 2014 10:50:12
how can king be doing harm he ain't doing nothing the fans have there on voice make there own choices and they have chosen not to believe a word this board say and not give them a penny more was it king that sent that email and pleaded for his job to be saved no it was that buffoon somers the other board members 3 to 2 were going to vote in favour of david kings offer untill they where removed this is not in the best interest of rangers football club this is self interest for the easdales and somers

4.) N3 - wasn't it King who first raised the idea of the Season Ticket boycott at the start of the season?

King wants to crash the club and pick it up for next to nothing after liquidation.

At least the present board have had the balls to actually put their own money where their mouth is, unlike DK.

Without liquidation, DK's only way of taking over is to buy them out and we know he's not going to do that.

Would you spend £30,000,000 to buy a
Money-eating black hole?

DK isn't that bleeding stupid.

5.) Craigs8688,

Thanks mate for your agreement, for a moment there I thought I was losing my mind. It is clear that the decision to accept Ashley's money was NOT in the best interests of Rangers and as such, the officers of the Club are culpable and answerable to shareholders and AIM.

Here is hoping the Lawyers acting on behalf of SOS pursue this and force those slippery characters who sat in their tent on the pitch the other day to explain why 3m was better than 16m knowing they had no cash to trade to the end of the season!. STINKS!

6.) @2 ayr bear don't talk to me as if i'm some kind of person, of course I understand that 16m is more than 3m but King did not prove that he has the funds ready to invest, I also know that is was a stitch up by ashley, these people are playing chess with our club. I want to see somers given his jotters, not necessarily the easdales, and we need someone to take charge and outline their plans for the future be it king or ashley.
P. S. If you can't see that the boycott is harming our club then more fool you.

7.) 24 Dec 2014 12:31:09
Ashley will know for himself what somers is & and if and when he gets full control or king does get in you can bet your mortgage that somers will be gone. total agreement jyf that boycotts do more harm than good as to date they have achieved nothing other than deprive the team of much needed support
r. f

8.) 24 Dec 2014 13:56:59
nobother Ayr Bear yeh it was kings plan at start and not much people did boycott now look at the figures attending folk have made there own mind up ad who sayed david king could not prove that he had the funds somers and we all no he talks rubbish if king couldn't prove why would rest of board want to go threw with it as for boycotts think we have well and truly supported the club in previous years something has to be done the fans are sick of being ripped off if the money was invested in rangers things would be different

9.) 24 Dec 2014 14:50:59
Again if the money that does come in needs topped up by loans what money is being "ripped off" there is none, paying themselves to much yes but "ripping us off "no, previous boards yes as there was money there.
r. f

10.) Chaps, no one disagrees with the fact that boycotts do not do good. I am going to post a link below of an article written by Roddy Forsyth in today's Telegraph where the papers lawyers state "The Daily Telegraph has been provided with proof of the emails providence" the article also tells how Ashley "helped bring about another financial crisis at Ibrox by refusing to take part in Rangers equity issue in August then increasing his holding through a private share purchase which meant that his money would not go into the club"

Have you any idea what this guy has engineered behind your backs? He has also given up the naming rights of Ibrox in exchange for significant commercial and advertising rights within the stadium.

Let's not forget, this guy has " loaned" RFC the 3m, not given it. He has got control of the club for NoTHInG!

Sports Direct have paid RFC a total of just over 2'000 pounds in their commercial deal (That is in the published accounts)

Earlier someone said Dave King wanted the club for a song and was waiting for administration to happen again. Well, now we know that Ashley actually engineered a crisis at the Club by buying private shares with money that wouldn't go to the club - then LOANED them cash when he had them over a barrel.

And you wonder why you never hear or see him or hear his plans for the club?!

WAKE UP GUYS!. read and make up your own mind.

11.) 24 Dec 2014 19:35:08
rf so what about these stupid contract that ashley has he is taking money out the club then loaning us our own money back that is some cheek and he has tain more than 3 million out the club that with there over inflated wages plus other contract they have tied up between there selves Ashley doesn't do things for nothing

12.) Craig8688 ime in agreement with you mate, but I also think the boycotts have been worth having, after all had there been no boycotts everything in there garden would be looking rosy, the board would have said all is well, but at the same time robbing us blind, and it would have been blind cause we would not know of problems as we the support would have been paying for the paint to cover the cracks.

13.) 25 Dec 2014 01:50:47
thanks George123 thought I was only one thinking along these lines glad some one else can see what happening at our club we would not have had a clue if boycotts never happened

14.) Craig8688. I seen the problem as soon as charleboy got his big Yorkshire hands in the door, thus I never renewed book nor have I been to a game, home or way, and I won't be going to up and coming semi final, I will renew once we get all these greedy winners out the door.

27 Oct 2014 21:01:48
Bears, anyone got any idea where the 2 million to be paid back in 6 months time will come from?

Ashley must have a plan to inject cash somehow early in the New Year so that the Company can pay him back?

ED?

Ayr Bear

1.) There will, undoubtedly, be an extension granted until the 2015/16 season ticket sales have been made.

2.) 28 Oct 2014 11:41:57
New share issue will need to be agreed at next AGM. It will happen as unless it happens there is no way to repay Ashley's loan. IMO over the next year Ashley, once he has sufficient shares may very well take Rangers private again. With a new share issue all shareholders are diluted. Becomes reasonably cheap to pick up shares then as major shareholder and buy out current shareholders.

3.) 28 Oct 2014 17:49:03
Could also be that the loan will not be repaid and Mr Ashley will claim the assets that were set against the loan repayment then go merrily into the next stage of his operation

McCoist is paid well over £2,000 every single day of the year ( not to mention perks, pension, car etc) to manage Rangers.

If there are still any of you out there in denial that Ally is the man to manage Rangers. just think on that one statistic and ask yourself why these self interested chancres all keep together and made up the majority of the new share issue take up?

You are lining their pockets today, fattening the pensions for tomorrow. and losing RFC into the bargain as they will all disappear when there is no meat left on the carcass.

50,000 fans can see this - but cannot agree to unite!. and it is YOU that have the power.

Ayr Bear

1.) Ayrbear brilliant post mate its just a pity that the difrent groups can't come together to get shot of these asset strippers eh

2.) Thanks @1. I wish RFC fans realised the sheer power they have.

Yes, I will be voting for the Conservative & Unionist Party, because at least you can believe them when they say they don't want a break up of our Kingdom. I don't want the Union Jack missing from Ibrox Park. and that is exactly what will happen if that wee nuisance gets her way. Then again she does seem to have a Magic Money tree somewhere. with all the promises to spend another 180billion on our countries Credit Card
