Hi fellow bears, this may not be anything, however a really close friend of mine who works in a very well known bookmaker has informed me that a punter walked in at around 6pm on Monday and placed a massive bet on Neil McCann becoming our manager, she said he was not local and that she had to clear the bet with her manager. I'm only passing this info on as I feel the bookies must be making some big money out of all this, but seemingly this guy never batted an eyelid handing thousands over.

1.) 05 Dec 2017 06:42:13
Thousands down the drain!

2.) 05 Dec 2017 08:44:08
The bookies would not take thousands on such a bet, you'd be lucky if they let you put £50 on it!

3.) 05 Dec 2017 09:31:07
Well he's lost his money and marbles then!

4.) 05 Dec 2017 10:29:00
No one is linking McCann with the job apart from the bookies. It’s going to be McInnes so we need to get behind him and the players.

5.) 05 Dec 2017 16:13:31
Mcann will be a decent manager in a couple of years maybe for a hearts or st johnstone but not rangers.

6.) 06 Dec 2017 08:12:33
Fodtheprophet, so you know how his life, learning and skills are going to develop? WOW!

Please do not shoot the pigeon, he only carries the message, it may be sheer rubbish, it may not, some meeting going on in London with a rep from Rangers and a certain Mr Walter Mazzarri, can anyone clarify if this guy is actually in London or Italy, and has anyone out there heard anything about this, my source is not a Rangers guy, he is Palace diehard.

1.) 01 Nov 2017 15:39:29
would take him happily. i mentioned him on here before. very good manager

2.) 01 Nov 2017 16:56:01
people say we shouldn't get a foreign manager in but i honestly don't see why that is i think he can be foreign but only if he has played with rangers or managed in scotland before with a good record

3.) 02 Nov 2017 00:04:56
He is not what Rangers need right now I don't rate him too highly I'd rather see Alan Parses or Derek McInnes myself

4.) 02 Nov 2017 07:15:08
Someone like Mazzarri would be class.

Unfortunately he's being linked with west ham and ac milan with both managers under pressure.

Score Mazzarri off the list it won't happen unfortunately.

Dont know about you guys but my arse is making buttons waiting on the announcement!

Mcinness no more, I said two days ago that he is a bottler and be assured we have been given a lucky break, he knocked back Rangers for the same reason he knocked back Sunderland, he is set in his ways at Aberdeen, he definitely looked at the risks he was taking either going to Sunderland or to us, and the risk was he could have become a nobody if he accepted the posts. and I think he knew the jobs were to big for him and I'm sure he knew that it would of been hard to win over most of the supporters, yes some loyal supporters wanted him but it's time to move on, I'm not sure who we will go for now, however what really is the rush as Murty is doing a job for us, the players are warm to him, enjoy playing for him, I honestly feel that destiny has played a part and that we will benefit from DM's knockback, it is nothing to be ashamed or embarrassed about as we may never know the true reason DM decided this. We are Rangers and bigger than this, now is the time to show and prove your loyalties to our record breaking club and let every other team hear our voices and our love for a club that has given us and our forefathers so much.

1.) 07 Dec 2017 18:56:11
The board al ready said they don't won't a new temp manager murty or anyone else this was a long term plan so surley they have plan b
For me its unfair on murty what happens if he loses 2 games on bounce again we will all be raging at the board for not apointing a new manager

2.) 07 Dec 2017 19:27:29
Who is plan B? Mcinnes wasn't my preference. we didn't even get a chance to speak wi him so he obviously don't want it/ can't handle it. FINE. we move on. NO MAN IS BIGGER THAN THE CLUB!

3.) 08 Dec 2017 02:15:37
No plan B
right guy be there we will get there
bit of patience guys
like meeting a girl u know the one lol
hopefully bears don't find out that's the wrong one lol

4.) 08 Dec 2017 09:15:04
Mediocre manager decides to remain in wee parochial comfort zone. Best of luck to him, onwards Rangers and Mr Murty.

Fernando Fonseca is on loan at Estoril until 30th June 2018 having been loaned on 6th August, his value is around 600k, he was never spoke to regarding a loan spell with Rangers and Estoril have been trying for over a month to complete the loan. which of course they have done.

So Bongo a couple commitee members at Hearts are telling you this, well shame on them, why couldn't someone from the committee just contact Rangers and tell them this, they will not be paid 1m for Walker be assured of this and they are aware of this, in five months time the lad who wants to play for us will sign a pre contract anyway, if Hearts want to lose this player for nothing then so be it, all I can say from a business point of view is silly beggars, I'm sure they can use 650k or there abouts to bolster their team and I think they need too, Walker has made his position clear and in the end vhf will play for Rangers.

I honestly think we have enough midfielders, his contract was not renewed by Fulham after spells on loan to Wigan and Blackburn, don't think he is what we need.

Yeh Kasmania just like he steadied the ship at Bristol City, left them at the bottom of the championship, was sacked even though he had a really good squad, is he the best manager in Scotland after BR because he finished second and has won a cup, look he made his decision, it's over so why feel gutted, imo we have been so very lucky with this one, let's just get behind the team now and forget the DM fiasco, the board will have learned a valuable lesson and make no mistake our next manager will have all the right credentials especially the fact that he truly wants to manage Rangers, until then we should all get behind Murty and the team and do what we do best, support the club as we have done through all that has been thrown at us.

Coldo why is slim Jim talking a load of Barry White, it is his opinion and after all it is a banter page, I agree with what slim Jim is saying regarding DM, what has he proved and especially on the big occasion, backtrack his managerial career at Aberdeen and what to you see,4 seasons we were not there he got hee haw even when celtic had a dud as a manager, you and other believe DM will be our saviour, look around you man, why do you think celtic went south for a manager, I will tell you why because they saw nothing up here, and why not use the comp money for players, it makes complete sense, I'm not doom and gloom however we will see how many DM lovers come on here when it goes pear shaped, the board need a really big name, if you think that DM is that man well that's fine but he is not in the mould of Smith, Souness, advocat, and a few others. ok he snubbed Sunderland, but why,? Was he waiting on the Gers job or was he bottling it to go down the road, or did he genuinely want to stay at Aberdeen, his set ups against celtic have been questionable, why do you think he will be any different at us, DM is moulded into a certain type of manager and he is not for Rangers. And you can all take a pop but as I said it's a banter page and I'm only stating my opinion and agreeing with slim Jim.

Hi Duccablue, I honestly would like G. V. B but can't see it happening, so Wright would do it for me with Murty number 2 to be our future manager.

Hi all Gers bro's, I have already been on a few weeks ago regarding Mciness, I think today proves beyond any doubt that he is not good enough to manage our beloved team. He had a great chance to completely change tactics when we had Jack sent off, and believe me he was our engine in midfield, Mciness failed miserably and won't take us further than 2nd, he just does not have the bottle or brains and his record in big games says it all, even the lovers of Mciness must surely admit that this is indeed not the way forward, and if he is appointed we can totally forget about stopping 10 in a row, what we need is a leader, a tactical coach who is shrewd and aware who knows the Scottish game and can turn a game, who can get the best out of players who may not be the best but have the complete will to win, who will love the manager and fight tooth and nail for him, for every ball, for every point, and for every win. that is not Mciness I'm afraid, but hey Ho who am I, just a fan a supporter who wants the best for the team he has supported for 53 years. Think hard what do you really want, I went a successful club, a successful team, nd a successful manager. fighting for league titles, every cup, and winning again in Europe. Because

Great points Ger78,totally agree with you on this and I would like to add that he sticks around a lot longer than most managers and motivates players and gets them working as a unit, in my opinion he would be a first class choice, Catholic or whatever, and if we happen to get Mciness I really feel it will all end in tears and regrets, I don't think he can handle the bigger games, it's ok beating eight teams in the SPL and winning games in the cups against diddy teams, his record against the manky mob and in Europe is terrible. But I suppose if some people on here want to enjoy finishing second then he is your man, sorry not for me by a country mile.
