Where is our man at the airport?
Or have no new faces been seen?
21 Jan 2017 14:11:59
but Warburton and his team "talk" a good game - "We're going to do this or that after our lessons in cup final and in Germany etc . ". They are "all talk"
Really it is time for change we are crying out for a centre half and a goal scorer and we sign two more midfielders, letting another go out on loan?
1.) 21 Jan 2017 14:19:23
At least Kenny Miller has still got it!
2.) 21 Jan 2017 14:25:48
jesus, that was brutal! Still a victory and I will gladly take that. Our defence really is poor and oh how we need a leader on the Park. Thought that Windass and the young American looked the part when they came on. Holt was like a man down.
3.) 21 Jan 2017 15:20:38
Agreed Tom, we really are far to easy to score against, how many goals have we lost with the other teams striker peeling off in between two defenders and scoring a header, time and again it happens, that's how we lost the Scottish cup last season, we really need to sort this
13 Jan 2017 19:28:11
Toral says he hopes that
"Rangers are a stepping stone to Arsenal first team"
I hope this loan is a stepping stone to Rangers
1.) 13 Jan 2017 21:26:09
Think this will be a good one and help us go up a gear and secure second place.
29 Dec 2016 19:01:13
Just seen the St Johnstone goal.
Sorry that wasn't an honest mistake - it was the "wrong" attitude.
How many mistakes do we require to make before we learn?
Suggest too many - let's get back to some basic defending again!
1.) 29 Dec 2016 21:09:22
It was a 'balls up', no more, no less. We all make them. Iv'e yet to meet any perfect people on this planet, although I have met many unrealistic fans.
2.) 29 Dec 2016 22:09:00
Spot on Cuillin72.
3.) 29 Dec 2016 21:50:03
Sorry cullin have to disagree, these mistakes happen every game, we are just fortunate to get away with most of them.
4.) 29 Dec 2016 21:57:49
Yeah but it's not the first time he has made them and it's an all to commen occurrence with him.
5.) 30 Dec 2016 08:35:14
Exactly coldo i'm just surprised we've got this far before we've gave a goal like that away. i must add i can't believe the people on here that gave Big fod part of the blame for that goal, it wasnt his fault Kiernan under-hit a pass.
6.) 30 Dec 2016 10:26:43
The ball should not be going back to the keeper, the ball should be played up the flank or cleared up the pitch. We might want to play like Barcelona but you can't do that when the players are not even Scottish Premiership standard!
7.) 30 Dec 2016 11:09:12
I agree TOMUSA when its tight spaces and we're geting pressed high up the pitch but that one the other night he was under no pressure whatsoever and that just came down to having absolute zero awareness.
8.) 30 Dec 2016 11:11:10
Bang on tom that's where the problem lies, anyone can play a slack pass its the mentality of knocking back and forth to keeper that won't do! And i'm not blaming RK i'm looking for a my midfielder dropping off his marker wanting a ball to feet! The trouble is no one in our central area wants it.
9.) 30 Dec 2016 11:55:17
Not blaming RK are u kidding? It was the easiest pass in the world to make. he was to careless and his awareness was non exsistent, he was under no pressure whatsoever.
10.) 30 Dec 2016 14:15:13
Blame for that single moment in the game yes, but not the tactic bluedie, if the game plan is to slide balls back to goalkeeper instead of looking to play forward passes then you will eventually get caught out.
11.) 30 Dec 2016 14:52:57
He wouldn't have got caught out tho if he hadnt bn so careless. there's no problem playing out from the back when your not under pressure which he wasnt, if he'd bn giving the ball under heavy pressure then i would have cut him some slack but he wasnt.
12.) 30 Dec 2016 15:38:36
I'm not sticking up for Kiernan but this playing the ball back to the keeper is a nonsense and simply goes to emphasise the total lack of ability in our midfield. In days gone by, players like ferguson would have been on hand to collect the ball and carry it forward. Halliday and Holt are simply incapable of doing this. It is embarrassing that we are playing these guys week in week out when it is evident that neither has the ability!
13.) 30 Dec 2016 17:45:41
Exactly the point tom.
14.) 30 Dec 2016 20:31:33
Go long tomorrow, stop the footering at the back, bypass the midfield, use the flanks (where we've got some pace) and play with a target man and Miller as a foil. Just remembered, it's Warburton who picks the team, so it's all a dream.
02 Dec 2016 06:48:55
1) Is Weir not without criticism - he is right in there coaching the defence?
2) day 1 of pre-season training was the time to "pull the finger out" not mid season in December Andy?
3) Heated discussions in the dressing room no longer novel - when it happens nearly every game - "heat should be on the park"
4) beginning to belief no one is up for "it" now at Ibrox - from Board down?
1.) 02 Dec 2016 07:56:20
Told you months ago on this page that Halliday was the trouble maker not barton and was shot down, threatening to leave if he didn't get his own way etc, not looking for argy bargy but what do you see in him?, average player at best that's been dining out on a semi performance for over a year.
2.) 02 Dec 2016 08:54:14
Bhoywonder - What makes you think that Andy Halliday was the source of all the heated words, or in fact if he was involved at all?
You have clearly formed an opinion on someone based on nothing (unless you would care to enlighten us? ) .
I don't think any of us are claiming he is a world beater but at least he has a passion for the club unlike some others.
Claiming Barton was not the troublemaker is naive at best. In the actual event both parties got overheated but when the boss intervened Halliday was smart enough to shut up and show respect, Barton didn't - simple!
3.) 02 Dec 2016 09:10:54
Blue your right about the last part, but after the incident in question it was halliday and wallace that started the him or us fiasco, can tell you for a fact that after the incident a lot of players actually backed barton, and are now looking to leave, mate you could have 11 players on the pitch that have a passion for your club but if your average it don't matter.
4.) 02 Dec 2016 09:42:16
Sorry to butt in, Bhoywonder but how do you know, "for a fact" that "it was Halli day and Wallace that started the him or us fiasco" or even such a scenario even took place. It was in the media and talked about on this site but that doesn't mean it actually happened. As for me about the only good thing that's happened for us so far this season is getting rid of Barton without it costing us an absolute fortune. As for your comment about average players much as it pains me to agree with any Celtic fan who posts on this site I'd say none of our players are showing otherwise at the moment.
5.) 02 Dec 2016 10:31:57
Now we've got the other side on giving us inside info and "facts" abt our club. 😂😂😂.
6.) 02 Dec 2016 10:54:39
he doesn't know for a fact he's making it up completely. joey barton was not sacked for the bust up with Andy halliday it was just 1 of the number of problems caused by joey barton.
7.) 02 Dec 2016 11:34:32
Believe what you want lads but if speaking your mind to a bunch of team mates who then spit the dummy is a problem, then i guess you are all correct. silly me.
8.) 02 Dec 2016 12:17:56
Bhoywonder I'm not saying you are completely wrong nor am I saying Halliday is the next messiah.
A lot of hearsay has affected the story here. I don't really buy the "him or us" story personally but I may be wrong.
I do know for a fact that the reason for Barton's departure is primarily nothing to do with other players and everything to do with his refusal to see his own error in disrespecting senior staff along with other issues.
You are right in saying it is irrelevant if a player supports the club if he is average but in clubs like ours you need a bit of both these days. Some quality players and some with a bit of bite and passion for the club. Halliday could flourish with a bit more quality around him is all.
9.) 02 Dec 2016 12:41:33
The day MW lost the dressing room was that incident Bluegenius, what shouldve been a clear the air chat escalated because barton told some home truths (himself included), and halliday threw his toys along with wallace, then your gaffer been told to pick a side ( when he shouldve stayed out of it or fined them), sides with halliday which alienates seasoned pros and friends of barton. Like i said believe what you will, I've never been one to come on here wi the line dangling, just passing on info.

Chicken and egg situation
We won't go forward until there is more money and there wouldn't be more money to finance current (? ) operations until we get European money?
Are King's hands tied?
May not like him but is Chris Sutton talking along the lines of JB -
We might be where we are when we haven't played well (all season? ) - but are we simply not good enough for second place (! ) and European qualification?
1.) 01 Dec 2016 08:58:17
Money is not the main reason for the poor performances our budget exceeds Aberdeen and hearts quite considerably yet they play like a team and with spirit scoring lots more goals than us. The answer appears to lie with the management team. An ex defender as assistant yet we have a shocking defence and a manager who's stubourn attitude to how the game is to be played and has no other tactic or formation to adopt.

Surprise by responses
May not be "Ranger Standard" but is any member of the current squad?
Surely the question is "is he better than what we have? "
The answer is he would add to the squad?
06 Jan 2017 20:05:20
Yes - never better to turn someone from the dark side
He was led astride
27 Oct 2016 18:50:51
Yes of course it is the same 9/ 10 defences but Warburton doesn't seem to have the "key" to open them and doesn't appear to be searching for it.
Sorry but he is a "rookie" manager and if he doesn't change then "he" will need to be changed.
Where is the freshness of the early promise of last season - he is beginning to look tried out - no new ideas - like McCoist .
16 Sep 2016 06:51:46
Was Joey simply saying what some of the posters on here have been saying for months?
"Performances have not been good enough for months - (not just from start of season) and we need a PLAN B"
If so was he not correct to challenge Warburton directly when asked what was wrong?
I was reminded of Iain Ferguson dressing down stars in DR after a previous 5-1 defeat - he wasn't sent home!
26 Aug 2016 23:49:26
I am a supporter and I'm arguing with them, MW and DW - results so far are simply unacceptable!
Line has to drawn - and on current form they are currently simply below the line!
21 Jan 2017 14:19:23
At least Kenny Miller has still got it!
11 Jan 2017 08:12:55
Ask a Newcastle fan - remember they are/ were milking the fans.
Otherwise who are you Punter? Ashley or his agent?
01 Jan 2017 14:21:17
Slightly unfair on Hodson - he hadn't been given a run.
We don't want to build on good performances rather go back the "tried and tested" failures.
Something will have to change in 2017 the sooner the better!
28 Dec 2016 21:46:06
Yes - another bad result on the road!
Was Warburton experimenting tonight?
Advantage over Aberdeen thrown away tonight must win at weekend to reestablish it.
Sorry but unsure whether team will surprise us and be simply beaten or maybe "escape" with a draw at home!
Warburton must sort this out very disappointing again!
