Heard a Rumour. Guy i work with is a mad chelsea fan and was down in London last week. He got talking to Billy Gilmour and his Dad at the Airport on the way home. Anyway not sure how the conversation started but apparently Ryan Jack is finished with this injury he can't shake and he might have to retire at the end of the season.

Jack is a good player there is no doubt and probably starts in the starting 11 but let’s face it he will more than likely get injured next season and only play 1/ 4 of games it’s a gamble from the club and if we want new players some need to go.

Don`t think he`ll ever be clear of his injury just needs managed. Retiring from playing for Scotland would be a start. He gets dragged all over Europe, rarely gets a start and his training is mishandled by Clarke . He could be having two weeks rest and fitness training instead of joining up with that lot.

Raskinloyal, fair do's sir, but Scotland are not paying his salary/ bonuses/ health insurance/ even when he only plays half a season, and haven't given him a pension pot that he shouldn't have to worry about the price of butter ever again.
Loyalty for me stops at that point, if he wants to risk the rest of what little career he has left then, he should be prepared to give something up.

Just watched Beale's press conference, he was quite cagey again when it came to Alf. Clearly both parties know that he won't be here next year. Now Beale isn't exactly going to slate Alf, he has to talk him up and keep things amicable until the end of the season but as I said both parties and we know that Alf is finished at Rangers.
With that said, Beale also said that we are working on a few deals in the back ground. One of those will obviously be Alf's replacement. Who would you's want? For me it has to be an upgrade someone who is clinical, will score 20 plus a season. Would love two Colak's. I think beale will look at 532 with wing backs. Plenty crosses going in so two Colak's would be ideal.
Its best for Alf to leave as he wouldn't fit Beale's new system where he wants plenty energy up top.

Beale I did read somewhere the depending on Souttars fitness Beale is open to trying a 352 at some point this season, haven't given it a thought just until I saw your post, not sure if we currently have the correct players to implement that or not though.

I see Alf's physical shape is all over the media today with pictures of him in the gym trying to get himself in shape. Big Boydy compared Alf to Kyogo with Boydy saying that Kyogo is a selfless team player who runs himself into the ground for his team, Boydy continues, put quite simply Alf does not. Its also interesting that there is no new contract on the table from the club for Alf, maybe this is why he is in the gym, Beale did say he wanted more from Alf. That's three Rangers managers that have now called our Alf's fitness and attitude.

In Beale's interview today he said he will wait until the end of the season and discuss Morelos contract with him and also said that Morelos has not been a problem and does everything expected, he also said that any players with contracts up in the summer and he's not made any decision with any players yet, basically answering a question about Arfied signing another deal can't see him getting another contract well hopefully not.

Just read Barry Ferguson's column about how he feels that signing Kent to a new contract would be the best bit of business we do this summer. I absolutely IMO 100% agree. Kent is a match winner on his own and exactly the type of player that we should be building a team around if we want to be successful. You can see the difference in our play when you have players like Colak, Raskin and Cantwell who compliment Kent, our play is much more quicker and slicker. Another Colak type striker is also a priority if we are going to be playing with two strikers more often. What other key positions do we need to strengthen, obviously GK?

His jersey will be filled as have many great and better names in the past and the club will move on.
Look at the changes across the city - have those changes affected them - YES but on the positive side - let's not stagnate and worry about whether a certain player stays or goes - This club is bigger than EVERY player who has pulled on the light blue and I have seen TOP CLASS stars go and be replaced.
Apart from losing the original fee- I can only see positive change for the club so I am all in for a newbuild and removal of old guard.
Our wage structure is fine (prob too high in areas) and should not change imo and there are many better players out there who would be happy to play for a fraction of our "superstars" salaries. RW hope you are on that very job NOW.

I like Kent and rate him but his numbers are nowhere near good enough and he has had plenty of time to fix that, however with Beale in and looking like a more settled midfield three that may allow Kent to play his game more often, time will tell, I'd like him to stay, but his numbers need to improve, Sakala for as much as he's been slated has been pitching in with a few goals again this season, and he hasn't started nearly as many games as Kent.
