Scott Wooton of
Leeds bears, anyone think MW might be interested, he is 24 and by all accounts a good defender, sure he was once a Liverpool academy player also. Went to Leeds for 1m however some problem with his extended contract and he is now out of contract and wants to leave. Any thoughts.

11 May 2016 13:21:07
I think we need someone at the cb position with more top level football experience he is okay but I think not proven to be better than what we have just now which isn't really rangers quality.

10 May 2016 22:38:46
See Hardie "back" at Ibrox after loan spell at Raith.

Question asked previously and unanswered?

Is he able to be added to squad for final - given our "sparse" bench in semi?

10 May 2016 22:52:35
Im not sure mate if his loan has ran out then i don't see why not but if it runs till the end of may then probably not and i guess it did especially given raith were in the play offs.

10 May 2016 22:58:50
No unfortunately, that would be what Dundee United did.

What about getting sone alluko back, Great wee player.

11 May 2016 11:59:09
he would fit in nicely with the way mw plays any idea of what age he is now though?

11 May 2016 12:11:01
Aluko would be a great addition tactically smart and bags of pace! Would wages not be a concern though?

11 May 2016 12:47:43
Not sure where we would play him as we have options in that area with McKay, Forrester, O'Halloran and Waggy. I'd say the most pressing positions were competition for the goalie, a commanding centre half, a holding midfielder and an out and out striker who will stick the ball in the net. Waggy has been great but he has never been prolific. Somebody like Alan Shearer or Van Nistleroy would be perfect. Or even a reborn McCoist and Hateley. We can but dream. Whoever we get we will wholeheartedly support because 'we are Rangers' as Waggy recently stated with passion.

11 May 2016 13:25:02
I think aluko up there with waggy would be a good partnership aluko has pace and both players know where the net is moh is a good player but I wouldn't have him as my first pick.

10 May 2016 20:44:15
Is it a play off semi final at easter road, looks like someone forgot to tell the hibs supporters.

10 May 2016 21:05:03
Just thinking the same mate, I've both teams to score and a falkirk win at 8 to 1 so a falkirk goal i'm a happy bear even so i think falkirk will do them at there park anyway, crowd is pathetic.

10 May 2016 22:12:48
Not seen the recent Hibs games, just followed on radio and live text updates but does anyone think MW and DW might have been a bit hasty in allowing Darren McGregor to leave? He is physically strong, convincing in the air, carries a goal threat from set pieces and if I remember right was fan's player of the year 2 seasons running based on performance commitment and effort. I know he had his limitations but what is it that Kiernan offers that McGregor with a bit of quality coaching couldn't. Feel we might have done the guy an injustice and short changed ourselves into the bargain. What do others think?

10 May 2016 22:54:50
If nothing else a good squad player though listening to players rumours he wanted the move, he's definately got a point to prove otherwise.

10 May 2016 23:11:59
He's playing for the team he supports, I think that was a major factor in the mutual decision made when we parted ways.

11 May 2016 01:13:31
Thanks guys - makes more sense now.

10 May 2016 21:15:19
Yes pb1 and this is the same hibs who demanded and received half the tickets at hampden for the scottish cup final, typical sfa allowing them half, total joke they shouldn't have got anywhere near half as their fans don't attend, you just need to look at their semi-final against dundee utd, poor poor supporters doing class rangers fans out of tickets! There's no way they should have got that amount of tickets, glory hunters!

10 May 2016 19:35:47
I keep seeing comments re Danny Graham on here. Forget it, won't happen. He was hounded out of Swansea because of a bad attitude ( drink and other peoples wives ) . Definitely not the type of player MW would go for!

11 May 2016 12:52:15
Another Dziakanowski (not sure if this is how to spell it) . I heard Jackie caused havoc in the dressing room at Bristol City (ironic rhyming slang) after he went there from Celtic. Anything in a pair of knickers was fair game apparently.

10 May 2016 19:14:44
Just checked my e mails and to my utter astonishment had 1 from rangers at 14.55 telling me I was successful in the ballot for the cup final. i though ballot was last week and was just getting my head round not being there. still can't believe it absolutely buzzing.

10 May 2016 20:42:23
Result for u.

10 May 2016 23:14:50
Aye very good, for you!

Lol. I hope you have a good view when we win the cup and enjoy the day mate.

10 May 2016 17:38:20
Is it not coincidence that as soon as we're back in the top league, league cup gets new sponsors and the spl gets new to deal with BBC. Just shows when the biggest team in Scotland is in town every one is wants a piece of the jigsaw.

10 May 2016 22:23:38
Is that not how any business work mate?

11 May 2016 12:06:56
pointless statement tomtom blue nose was just posting facts mate! #.

10 May 2016 15:51:23
exciting times bears indeed. just imagine the old firm games with warbs and keane opposite each other on the touchline. on a different note and I def will take grief here but I fancy joey barton for one season to toughen us up. out of contract and would relish playing up here. just a thought but he's a tough wee man and that's what we need.

10 May 2016 16:44:31
Warburton would never sign a player like joey Barton, plus we we couldn't afford him also burnley have just been promoted to the premier league so he would be mad to leave them this summer, but I understand were your coming from as he is the type of midfield battler that we need in midfield.

10 May 2016 16:48:42
Keane isn't that good of a manager so I'd welcome that appointment. Way too hot headed and I reckon his ego would get the best of him.

10 may 2016 16:40:18
is keane the new selik manager?

10 May 2016 17:13:34
Is Keane their new manager?

10 May 2016 17:22:14
I would rather they get him than Rogers.

10 May 2016 17:40:18
Joey bartons had a great season.

10 May 2016 17:41:06
Joey Barton is lucky that he's not in jail the way he acts of pitch, his behaviour on pitch isn't much better either.

10 May 2016 18:06:28
Barton is out of contract in the Summer so no signing few needed, athough wages too high i'd imagine.

10 May 2016 22:07:54
The good thing about Keane managing the green gang is he'll leather Broony the hard man instantaneously if any bufter lip is forthcoming.

11 May 2016 12:11:11
people think barton is an animal on the pitch he hasn't had a red card in two years think he has finally screwed the nut and would be a great player to get if we can afford him but no major money has been spent so far so tha must leave more cash in the salary pot!

10 May 2016 13:47:49
Kinda hope we keep fraser aird, supposedly he's playing we'll as a full back, would be good to have cover there if we don't get anyone in that position.

10 May 2016 16:45:38
Yeah he's doing well in mls, it could be the making of him.

10 May 2016 19:34:04
Sorry guys but the lad just isn't good enough imo.

10 May 2016 22:06:43
Think i'm right in saying mls team got option to buy when loan runs out.

11 May 2016 09:25:03
He just got voted player of the month for his club.

11 May 2016 12:13:33
id welcome the boy back with open arms think he is a cracking player with his experience now he will be a lot better than when he left us although might struggle to get into our fist team but i'd give him a chance.

10 May 2016 12:13:54
I think if we get the boy in from Liverpool we will have secured 3 cracking players so far this summer for next to nothing. Him, Crooks and Windaas are all good enough to go straight into the team.
We need another GK, CB, CF and cover for FB and I'll be happy. Maybe a few other squad players to replace what's going out.
Of all the positions needing filled I'd like to see some real cash being spent on a Striker, a decent one in this team will score plenty. Just hope it's not Graham.

10 May 2016 16:24:07
Recbob

Can't disagree with any of that. Need to spend money on CB and CF to try and get quality. Like the keeper at Hamilton to think he could do a job for us.

10 May 2016 18:25:13
He's a good keeper Biffo, Defo worth a look. I'm confident we'll be good come the end of the summer, to have 3 good players snapped up already is a good sign. Think a bit of experience is still needed though.

10 May 2016 19:35:31
The big Killie keeper always impresses me as well. McGovern would be a good shout too.

10 May 2016 21:44:25
Id go with mcgovern, killie keeper has the odd dodgy moment. really liking the squad were putting together of talented british players all of the same age group its how u build a solid team.

10 May 2016 18:33:43
I don't think we need spend money let's get young hungry striker 8n and he will get the chances.20 year old for 250 grand from epl. score 50 for season then sell him for 10 m with 50% sell on clause.

11 May 2016 12:17:42
I know I might get slated for this but I think the only reason hibs done as well as they have is because of their big keeper mark Oxley. the game they beat us in he saved their arses and I've seen him do that time and time again this season! thoughts?

10 May 2016 10:31:06
Tam Burns

Just to confirm, Matt Crooks is 6.4ft, check his wikki page, not the 6ft you refer to.

That is a monster of a boy! And he can play as well, say hello to our new CB

Liverpool Boy with be the new CDM,

Please do not let the new striker be Danny Graham, surely MW has a better trick up his sleeve.

Looks like well are going to create new solid young energetic spine to our team, something that we lacked last year!

10 May 2016 12:05:39
Wikki is not a reliable source for any information.
Multiple football stats site have him down as 183cm, or 6 ft.

He will not play CB, maybe as cover on occasion but mostly he will play DM,

{Ed001's Note - he is 191cm, those sites are obviously out of date.}

10 May 2016 13:49:07
what`s 191cm in old money ed?

{Ed001's Note - 8cm more than 183cm..... I don't know what that is to be honest, I still work in feet and inches, but just wanted to point out what the player himself and the staff at Stanley have as his height.}

10 May 2016 14:28:40
6.3Ft it is converted into all in all he bigger than 6ft and he a big boy! that what we need for premiership!

He is not 6ft!

10 May 2016 16:20:18
is he a cdm or cb we need a big center back that commands our box.

10 May 2016 19:14:00
Could see Danny Wilson doing a turn at the defensive midfield role.

10 May 2016 18:26:53
My bad, M3VLO. I just saw differing accounts of his height/ weight. He confirmed on twatter he is indeed 6 feet 4.

10 May 2016 22:08:58
Have u not seen wilson new footie boots for next season. there a cross of footie boots and stiletos lol. could work eh.

10 May 2016 10:24:32
Daily Mail seem to suggest that The Liverpool Boy Rosslier is a stick on to sign for the bears on a 4 year deal, £250k compo to Liverpool, been given the tour of Ibrox and MP! Frankie Boy convinced him to come take a look, MW has given him the Vision, and personal terms have been hammered out!

Really hope DM is correct with this one, this boy is a snip for £250K.

10 May 2016 10:15:34
G bone too much likeness to p . Bonner pffftt your patters rotten same as your timaloy statement . Large bill must be making same stuff up as me then. Read the rumours and papers before slating mate.

10 May 2016 09:32:30
Good morning Bears!

A lot has been made about Spurs making a late move for Jordan rossiter and if it is true I wouldn't worry about it too much. The lads 19, i'm sure he's Liverpool under 19 captain and an England under 19 at a vital stage of his carrer (he needs to play) our manager has a track record of giving youth the platform to go and show what they can do. Will he get that at Tottenham who where chacing the league title this year? don't think so . If his agent is worth his salt and his family around about him I think he could be a Ranger very soon .

10 May 2016 09:17:28
We need to get these boys up to tour about Ibrox this week while there's this heat wave, nothing better than Ibrox in the sun! But Glasgow in the rain! Hard place to convince anybody to stay.

09 May 2016 23:15:14
Anyone think we should put an offer in for Dunfermline striker Bakhtaoui? He's only 23 saw that Motherwell put a bid in for him a few days a go.

10 May 2016 06:39:24
Would be happy but it's if he can handle the step up in play.

10 May 2016 07:23:23
Seems warbs type but might b getting offered more money down in league one. danny Graham is a high quality striker who would have a point to prove. Lafferty forget it!

10 May 2016 16:25:49
cumming is a tit and would crumble at rangers we need a big solid striker that can hold the call up.
